First time in Providence for business and I stumbled into this caffe looking for a place to catch up on some work and have an espresso. This place was perfect — it wasn’t too busy which was good since it is pretty small. The espresso/cappuccino was excellent and the staff was great.

My morning stop, at least 3 times a week. The food and drinks here are superb! I enjoy the homemade breakfast sandwiches in the panini press, they have real egg and bacon, which makes me happy to indulge weekly. My fav barista Kristi make my latte just like a little shop in Roma. Anything I want, she is accommodating and she always makes sure I am a happy customer which means alot. Its like the coffee shop version of cheers, which makes me really happy to stop in daily for great food and great drinks!

I was less than impressed with this spot. Menu is sparing, portions are small and I prefer to be served. I feel like I am in some kind of cafeteria here. Food was only OK.

Been here once before when they first opened and figured I would give them another shot. No thanks, all set with paying $ 10 for a sandwich that left me starving. Portions are tiny in relations to what your paying.

I had a very positive experience with this place up until today. Although I went during the noon rush, there were just a few people in front of me. Nevertheless, it took 15 minutes to place my order. It wasn’t until I saw the people in front of me finishing their meal and the people behind me already served and halfway through theirs that I spoke up, realizing the guy lost my order. He then asked me what I had and brought it in a to-go bag. I shook my head, «No – for here.» He then zapped everything in the microwave so that the meatball never heated up and the veggie salad(which was supposed to be eaten cold) got too hot. I know it’s food from a deli case, but I make better leftovers than this. btw, very friendly service – for those who got some. Maybe I’ll walk further to Gourmet Heaven next time.

Had lunch there for the third day in a row, and have tried three different paninni sandwiches soup and the potato salad. All were very good. I work nearby and will be eating there often. Service was very good, people were friendly & attentive. The espresso bar is cool, I may stop in for breakfast and a café latte next time.

More like a Venda Anex in Downcity than a café. For those of us who like a great glass of wine with lunch… and maybe a killer espresso … Followed by some Sambuca. We came here for a lunch meeting and for the 1−½ hours we were there we really ate our way through their menu. The pick 3 option from the deli case was great and the quality of food was on par with Venda. Our hunger being what it was and with the weather being such that we had no desire to leave ran up quite the tab but had no regrets. I see they are open late on Friday & Saturday and I will surely be back… though parking downtown can be a royal pain in the … Eat Well Providence

I have been to the Blind Tailor for lunch several times since it opened a few months ago. The sandwiches are delicious, as are the coffee and hot chocolate. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Worth a trip if you are in the downtown area!

I stopped in yesterday for a hot chocolate. Very reasonable price. Nice little place but not the cozy feel some may look for in a café. The staff needs to work on being more friendly. I walked up to the area where you order food. There were multiple people standing behind the counter. No one said hi or asked if I needed help, even after a couple minutes. Same when I went to the counter at the front to get my hot chocolate. The girl stood there staring off and did not acknowledge me. She then gave me a hot chocolate that was so scalding hot it burnt my mouth. Good, mild flavor, wayyy too hot. It took ten minutes with the top off before it was at a drinkable temp. Who doesn’t temperature control their drinks these days? I saw some pasta salads in the case but none of the pastries I heard about. It was about 1pm on a weekday. Meh was the overall feeling. I left and went to New Harvest at the arcade, better experience

The best coffee in Providence at an amazing price. I had several soups there and they were all very good also had a panini sandwich which was very good. They have a variety of foods for lunch, different from other restaurants such as lasagna, chicken francaise, panini sandwiches, all very very good. The people who run it are very friendly and the food is great. I highly recommend it.

I just discovered the blind tailor and I was very happy with the menu and the service. I had an iced coffee with espresso in the morning and went back over for lunch a little later. Chatting with the chef gave me insight on what I was about to eat and I was especially happy with the effort put into it. The soup was broccoli and cheddar served warm not boiling hot and a homemade chicken salad on fresh grilled bread with fresh arugula and tomatoes.

The Blind Tailor Caffe is a new spot that just opened up downtown and I’m really digging the concept. I think it’s something that fills a gap in the downtown area and am excited to see something different! It’s a small but very quaint spot with seating for about 15 or 20 at the most. They have a coffee bar with italian coffees and espressos, sandwiches, soups, salads, a few dessert items, as well as wine and liquor. For lunch, their offerings are different and something the downtown was definitely missing. Sure, there are places to get sandwiches and soup downtown, but not of the kind you’ll find at the BTC. I know«fancy» sandwiches are not everyone’s cup of tea but if I want a plain sandwich, I can bring that from home. When I get a sandwich I want something different, with lots of flavor. The BTC hit the nail on the head with this if you ask me. They have about 5 or 6 sandwich options(all panini’s — my fav!) and the one I’ve had thus far was the Roast Beef and Fontina cheese sandwich. It was awesome! Warm, crispy yet chewy, savory, and really delicious. I was very impressed. I’ve also had the Lobster Bisque, which was a soup special, and this was excellent as well. It was creamy, flavorful, and indulgent — everything that a Lobster Bisque should be. I found this to be on par or better than the Lobster Bisque at Hemmenways so that should say something. This is not soup that comes from a giant bag and is prepared who knows where. This is homemade and FRESH. You can definitely tell the difference. One thing I love about the BTC is that they are open into the evening so if I need to stop in quick and grab something to bring home for dinner, they are an option. Right now there are no other options besides take out from a sit down restaurant. I seflishly hope this is an area they expand in because I think this is super convenient and hope other folks downtown catch on that this is an option. Beyond the food offerings I think The BTC seems like a quiet little spot to grab an after dinner drink, cup of coffee, or even a pre-dinner drink if you can’t find a spot at the bar across the street at Circe. The BTC is admittedly under development and probably technically still under a soft opening but what I’ve seen so far is solid and I am really excited to see what is yet to come! Don’t hesitate to give it a shot!
