This is the worst restaurant in new england. They can’t get the temperature right on a burger. Ice cream sits under the heat lamp for 15 minutes, and comes out like soup. Every single time. I tested this 5 times. They won’t blink. Just put it in front of you, and walk away. The $ 45 a la carte steak dinner was worse quality than a bad day at Longhorn. I got the DelMonaco. It was a joke. This restaurant is the standard ‘high end’ steakhouse restaurant. Go somewhere else. I don’t care I you go to Taco Bell, you will have a better experience. One of their previous servers opened Cerce around the corner. 10 times better! If you eat at 10 Steak and Sushi, you won’t just be disappointed, you will be angry.

After a horrendous meal the previous night we were thrilled with 10 Prime. Service was over the top perfect. My Manhattan was mixed superbly. We ordered sushi appetizers that were as fresh as any sushi I have ever had. Wife had the filet, I ordered the porterhouse au poivre. Both steaks cooked perfectly, this meal capped off a great week in Providence. Thank you Johnny

Ten, along with all of the other restaurants owned by this group remind us of when we started to date and started trying new restaurants. We’ve been to Ten a few times in the past. We decided to give it a try a couple of weeks ago as my fiancé was craving a steak. We split the certified angus bone-in steak with a side of buttery mashed potatoes and asparagus. The food was as we remembered. The steak was perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths. The sides were also delicious and a nice addition to our enormous steak. I ended this great meal with a bread pudding dessert, which from what I remember was totally gone, meaning it was good! We love that Ten has been the only one of the five restaurants owned by this group that has never been touched(they changed all of the other restaurants names and menus at some point). We are giving 4 stars because we have not been there in so long and would like to go back and see the consistency.

Tuesday at 7pm. April 2016 Two thirds of the tables are empty and service is what I would call past relaxed and into pretty dam slow. This echoes other reviews of 10. I ordered up 6 walrus & carpenter oysters and a mermaid roll. The food was above average, slow service pulled down my rating. If you want to spend the evening then this is your place.

Very impressed with the quality, taste and presentation of the food. Prices were consistent with the portion and quality. Started with the Parmesan truffle fries and hot stone wagyu beef. Both were equally amazing. Then for the entrée, I ordered the bacon wrapped meat loaf. Absolutely stunning. Enough for two to three portions. The restaurant was a bit tight, but expected in Providence. Overall great experience. Will be back for sure.

Delicious food. From my appetizer to sushi to my entrée and desert I couldn’t complain about a thing because it was just so good. The only thing I have to say is the place is a little crammed up, like the seat I got was literally only 2 feet apart from both tables on the side of me and like I could hear what the couples besides me were saying. Besides that the atmosphere was urban with fun bumping music playing(not too crazy) and overall I had a great time going there and I’ll deffinately be coming back.

Environment is sub par, the space is sub par, the food is sub par, the service was great. If this is any indication of «fine dining» in Providence then I thoroughly feel bad for the people of providence. Take the 45min ride to Boston for some real Wagyu Beef and you won’t experience the fakest Wagyu beef available like I did here. Seriously just go to chilies or something and save your money. Just blew $ 200 on an extremely sub par experience. Again service and staff were great but all else disappointed. Sushi is ahhhhh ok at best. Wish our experience was better.

This was a special treat for my birthday. The Husband brought me here specifically as a special treat, and it really delivered. As Sushi and steak are two of my favorite things, this place did not disappoint. We were there on a Thursday, on the later side. That seems to bear mentioning because many seem to have issues with this place when it gets crowded, which at 7:30 on a Thursday, it was not. From looking around at the space I could certainly see that this place would likely get crowded fast on busy nights. They offer free valet parking, but aren’t far from a garage if you’re not into letting them do that. This is important in this area of Providence. I noticed a lot of the restaurants in this general vicinity offer this, so at least the businesses notice that Providence doesn’t have good parking choices. We offered both Steak and Sushi(duh!) and everything was really really tasty. I like my meat Rare, and it was spot on! My Husband ordered the Veal Porterhouse because he had never seen those two words together before; he was super excited, and he seemed to love it a ton. Their specialty cocktails were good and interesting. The food was excellent, and I enjoyed the décor. It is definitely on the«trendy» and pricey side — we would really only go here for super special occasions. I don’t think I’d bring a group, though there was one seated behind us who seemed to be having a good time, but maybe I have a different idea of where to go with friends(less expensive, less fancy, more drinks and appetizers).

The service was exceptional, however the steaks my wife and I received were overcooked. I ordered medium rare, which came out to medium well with not even any pink in the center. My wife ordered a medium well, which was close, but even closer to well done. Flavor would have been on point, it’s just that the steaks were much tougher than we would have liked due to them being overcooked. Just not acceptable for the prices they are charging.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and wasn’t super impressed. Food was good, but service was meh. It’s trendy and nice looking inside, but tight on space depending where you’re at. They sat us right next to the doorway, so it was chilly and people waiting and at the bar were right behind us. Then halfway through our meal a noisy 8 top was seated right next to us as well. It’s not the best choice if you want to take someone here for an intimate date or special occasion. Our server was polite, but she seemed rushed and didn’t check on us often(she also had the 8 top). We made a point to ask for the check and dessert at the same time because we weren’t sure when she’d make it back. The food runners would drop the food off and run away without asking if we needed anything else. The food was good. Calamari was standard. We ordered sushi rolls, including crunchy munchie, tataki maki, spider roll, and mermaid roll, all of which tasted good, although prices are on the higher side. The chocolate lava cake was just okay to me, although my boyfriend did really like it. It’s an okay place, but again, might not come here for a special occasion. I had mentioned in reservation it was a birthday dinner, but there was no mention of his bday by staff and there was nothing that made the night more special than a regular dinner.

If you are in providence and want some good sushi look no further! I’m here visiting from LA so I was hesitant to go to a sushi in Rhode Island but this place blew my expectations out of the water. Very fresh fish(obviously) but also very unique rolls. The sashimi was amazing(as to be expected) and they use real crab in most of their rolls(not the case in most LA sushi bars). Tried most of the rolls and some were definitely better than others, but everything was a least good. Highlights were the prime roll and sushi sandwich. These two were very different and yet both insanely good. Also, you have to get the Roasted Bone marrow! A Must! Even if you don’t think you like bone marrow… Only $ 15 for a huge helping of bone marrow and foie gras butter. Also our waiter«Ford» totally made the experience. Very knowledgeable, funny, and just a cool guy. Go here and thank me later: ambiance was good but not pretentious.

Everything was so good. Between my two rolls(Crunchy Munchie and Mermaid Roll) and my wife’s Filet Mignon topped off with Bacon Wrapped Scallops, there are zero complaints! Dessert was even better.

Crunchy munchy is the best. I usually make it in here too late for the full menu, so I have only ever tried the sushi, but I can’t complain. My favorite bartender, Melissa is always there when I go in, remembers me and what I drink. She’s great with the customers. Great place for late night drinks and good sushi.

I’ve worked in the food service industry for the last 5 years, & I can tell you that my standards for restaurants are high. First impressions are everything in the restaurant business, and this place did not leave a lasting one at all. The best thing about this place is the music and atmosphere. It’s really relaxing inside, especially if you go on a Sunday night. My friend and I order two plates of sushi, the Lobster Rangoon’s, a beer, and a mojito. Being considered an upper scale place, I knew this wouldn’t exactly be a cheap meal, but I figured for the price, it can’t be half bad. The Lobster Rangoon for 10 or 12 dollars was extremely unimpressive. The presentation was subpar, the dipping sauce seemed to be a squeeze bottle dipping type sauce. The Rangoon shells were definitely handmade, but they didn’t use cream cheese like you would normally rangoons, they use what tasted like a powered parmesan and feta mix, with microscopic pieces of lobster. One of the rangoons didn’t even have any of the lobster or cheese in it, it was just the fried puff pastry of it. I kid you not, they smelled and tasted like vomit. My friends mojito was the next thing to try, and all I could say was«wow» and hand it back in disgust. One of the worst mojitos I probably ever had. Way to boozy, and cheap booze too for the price. On top of which, there was so much mint, it was just sitting on the top of a bed of it. I might as well been drinking straight Smirnoff vodka, no ice, sub a whole glass of mint. Next was the sushi, which was also pretty sub-par. Mine was $ 16, which wasn’t too bad, minus the literally Hellman’s mayonnaise and bottled teriyaki sauce that was drizzled on top. Not to mention the shrimp included, we’re literally the tails. I kid you not, they basically cut off the good part of the shrimp, left a small portion of the shrimp, and gave you a fried tail to eat instead. Hurt my tooth on it too. Ouch. My friends sushi plate looked like something that you would grab out of a Stop and Shop sushi aisle. $ 10 for the small portions you got? I’d be absolutely pissed. Service was average, but no real complaints there. We paid a total of nearly $ 70 including tip, and walked away with empty stomachs, and regretful feelings of what we ordered. There a better sushi places in the city of Providence, and much better places to get drinks all around. I would not suggest this place to anyone who’s new to the city or looking for a «Fine/Finer Dining experience». Gracie’s is right around the corner, and there are more affordable, serve better quality food and, have better quality chefs then his place I ever will. $ 47 for a fillet? You’re out of your mind guys. Definitely won’t be returning. 2 stars is more than generous for the place.

The atmosphere was great — it was nicely decorated and felt very chic. Our waiter was a lot of fun and had a great personality. The food was delicious. The oysters were among the best we’ve ever had. The flat iron tartare was perfect. I had the prime roll and the rainbow roll. Both were excellent. She had the scallops which were cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. I would definitely go back the next time I’m in Providence.

I absolutely love Ten Prime. I haven’t had the steaks, but the ones at my table looked unreal. I stole some mashed potatoes from the other guys, and oh my god, divine. The sushi is to die for, I can’t say enough about how good it is. I really like the happy hour, all of their apps are great, particularly the sliders and chips.

It was good. Not as good as I hoped or expected for the price. The steak was cooked properly but not seasoned and the au poivre was cold. The crème brûlée was obviously just taken out of a refrigerator and put on a plate. The cotton candy did make for a playful presentation. I’d go back to try the sushi I guess. But I’m in no rush.

Had an amazing meal here. Took my husband out for his birthday and we were both very impressed with the food. Both the steak and sushi were high quality. We ordered the Hot Rocks appetizer. which is wagyu beef that you get to cook on your own table with a hot stone plate(see pics!) For our meal we ordered the Filet 10 steak which is filet mignon served with foie gras, sweet potato and a fig & bacon glaze … Ummm it was ridiculously good! This is a must-try item of you like steak. Honestly, do it … You won’t be disappointed! For sushi, we ordered the Prime Roll and spicy tuna. Prime Roll was another must-try… I have never had beef carpaccio on a sushi roll before, but wow! It was a great combination! The price is definitely on the high-end so I would recommend this place for a special meal! … Oh and free valet parking too!

Was looking for something different during restaurant week and this came up as a suggestion. Why not? They have steak and sushi. What’s not to like? Looking at the dollar signs, it gave me a bit of a heart attack but hey, anything in the name of food! I think the firs thing to note about this place is that YOUDON’T NEEDTOPAYFORPARKING. They have free valet parking. If for whatever reason you wanted to park your own car there’s a parking lot next door that allows you to park for $ 6. When you walk in you’ll realize a modern, dark romantic type bar/restaurant that packs quite a few people in there. Remember to make a reservation because this place is bustling! Their menu contains exactly what their name implies: Sushi + Steak. They have both sashimi and rolls on their menu. Not a terribly extensive list of items from the sushi stand point but they have all your staples and when you order it you’ll see that it’s fresh and delicious. Sashimi was top notch. No O-toro tuna though. Seaweed salad was excellent. As part of their restaurant week, I chose their calamari which was ever so slightly breaded and topped with lemons and peppers. Not spicy by any means and interestingly delicious in the end. This was followed by steak tenderloin atop a fried patty of mashed potatoes with a red wine mushroom sauce. The night ended with a lava cake with espresso ice cream… This was the cherry on top of a beautiful night. The next time I’m here, I’m going for the 40 oz Porterhouse steak. They’re challenging me to eat it and I’m going to do it! Service was a bit slow. Spent about 2 hours with the majority of the time waiting for the food to come and getting the eye of our waitress. However, the food was good enough with enough to earn them 4 stars! Try this play out… I’ll be going back.

I’m really impressed by Ten Prime Steak & Sushi. My sister and I recently dined here using a Groupon(amazing deal btw) and the food was even better than I expected. I started with a pear martini(delicious, light, and refreshing) and then moved on to the warm king crab appetizer with drawn butter. Oh my. This was the first time I had enjoyed warm(as opposed to cold) king crab and it was simply divine! I could easily become an addict(ps that’s an expensive addiction!). Even though I had a good idea of what I planned to order for my meal, upon hearing the special I knew that I was going to change my mind. My sister did too. We enjoyed a delicious filet atop a bed of lobster mashed potatoes, served with asparagus, fried oysters(tempura battered instead of breaded – perfection), and a chipotle Hollandaise. It was so comforting and satisfying. The price tag was over $ 50 but even without a Groupon I think it would have been worth it considering the quality of the meat(cook perfectly btw) and the delicious chunks of lobster in the mash. The bananas foster bread pudding is ridic. I’m a bread pudding nut, and the texture and flavor of the version here is spot on. Definitely recommend. Groupon or not, I will definitely be back to Ten Prime Steak & Sushi. The ambiance and fun and the décor funky. Service is great, and the food outstanding. I am officially a fan.
