Sue La Table is he best. It’s also trouble for me, as I want to buy everything in the store, haha! They have a large variety of kitchen wares. All at good quality. I’ve never purchased anything I haven’t loved not anything that has broken. I know when I’m looking for something in particular for a kitchen item, I come here first. I love that they have a huge cookie cutter display! Pretty much any shape you’re looking for, they’ll probably have it! And they have a great variety of baking items. Overall, a great store for kitchen items. Plain and simple!

Sur La Table was my preferred kitchen wares store when I lived in NYC, and it’s my preferred one in RI, too. Why? It’s got an incredible selection, prices are truly reasonable and they have everything and anything you need for your kitchen(and it’s not ridiculously fancy). They also have killer sales. 40% off high-quality table linens, raffia placemats that will last 50 years and cute aprons. They’ve also got a great stock of Le Creuset, wonderful bakeware and cookware and small kitchen appliances. Maybe it’s been the days and the hours I’ve there(never on the weekend, always during the day), but the service has never been anything but wonderful. I find the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. However, I am not one of those people who likes to be fussed over or over-serviced; I like to go in, take my time on my own to find what I need(and maybe few things I don’t really need), and then purchase and go. I find that sales people overwhelm me and maybe talk me into stuff I don’t really want, so I don’t expect much from them anyway. Since that’s the case, the staff at Su La Table suits me just fine.

Great selection, good prices. I’m going to have to agree with the other reviewers who cited customer service issues. The cashier was doing absolutely nothing aside from talking smack with her coworkers. She saw me approach and turned to her coworker(who was arranging items) and said«Can you ring him up? I’m not doing it». Then the guy balked when I didn’t want to give my email address and phone number. Great store that needs a new hiring policy around employing the lazy and shiftless.

Absolutely ridiculous customer service at this place! When we approached the cashier, she looked like she was mad at the world. She gave us an attitude about using a coupon. We received a coupon in our email and proceeded to use it. She wanted our name to enter into the system to pull Up the coupon. Neither of our names were coming up even thought we had signed up over a month ago and had been receiving email blasts from them. After this lady arguing with us for about 5 minutes, we had to re-apply for their email coupons to use the coupon we already had shown her in our email! This lady was absolutely ridiculous and needs to be retrained in customer service!

I love, love, love this store. I really do. I can’t visit the mall without stopping in. However, I’ve received not-so-great service from cashiers in the past and feel quite pestered by the employees walking the store. Within five minutes, I was asked if I needed help by just about everyone in the store. Sure, this is what they strive for, but wow. I felt overwhelmed. I’m also not happy with how intensely an employee tried to sway me on purchasing a fancy cappuccino machine. Yikes. I felt like I had walked into a used car lot! Lastly, the selection of knives, for a place like this, is lacking. Sigh. I’ll still go back, but it is no longer one of my favorite nerdy/foodie places to visit.

I was so very thrilled that SLT opened up in our little mall here in Providence. I mean, where else would I be able to buy a shiny paella pans? How was I suppose to host a paella party without it? Located on the first floor of the mall, you can’t miss this place because the shininess of all the kitchen tools and appliances would capture your eye and reel you in. You’ll find every esoteric cooking tool here. Even things you didn’t know were used in the kitchen. right here. They of course change what they stock based on season as well so if you’re in the holiday mood, this is the place to go to right now! They also have a full line of various coffee machines with free coffee for those who want to try. There are several types of pasta machines, all sorts of pots and baking goods and not to mention their thousand and one colorful kitchen utensils that you don’t need but want to buy because it’s, well, rainbow colored.

I was drawn in by the free cappuccino, but had to stand next to the machine for quite a bit of time before someone would serve me one… which made me feel and look like a cheapskate! there was a sign that said to wait for someone to help you, but hey free coffee! this ís a place to get all of those extra tools you always meant to get but never did in the kitchen. Products were good and interesting, but only one out of the four employees were helpful and pleasant. I would go back, but would not make the drive to the mall just for this store.

I stopped in to check out this store in the PPM over the holidays and I got lost in all the really neat gadgets they carry. I could spend hours in here and will definately return when I have more time to browse. The day I was there, they were serving free lattes. This is a great place to pick up a gift for that hard to buy for person, or to get something unique.

I like this store just fine! They have a nice selection of Schott Zwiesel glassware, Le Creuset pans, baking dishes, and cooking utensils. They have a TON of different cookie cutters! This is dangerous because I love cookie cutters. I’ll definitely be making a stop around the holidays before I bake sugar cookies! Lots of cutesy aprons, towels, and potholders in those typical French patterns. Large selection of knife sharpeners. Prices are average and they have good sales. Falls between Bed Bath and Beyond and Crate and Barrel for me.
