Glad they finally put Starbucks in Providence Place. Consistently great coffee and friendly service. Also out of the way of the food court and on the second floor which is nice. Great view of Providence through the large picture windows as you are drinking your coffee. It’s a nice place to take a break from shopping.

Starbucks is slow. This Starbucks is by far the slow-leader. You will be served by rather emotionless workers and wait forever. Totally not worth the wait. It would be quicker to literally grow your own coffee plants.

Gorgeous location on the 2nd floor of Providence Place overlooking the basin where a huge bank of windows give you a million dollar view. Weirdly, tonight they had run out of lemonade by 6PM. But my. Iced black tea was fabulous.

I would have given them 5 stars if it weren’t for a slightly unpleasant experience I had with an incorrectly made Caramel Ribbon Crunch. But aside from that, I like this Starbucks. I prefer it to the 2 other Starbucks downtown, really. Why? Because this one is somehow… nicer. Not in appearance or any other affectation. It just feels more comfortable. The one attached to the hotel near KP and the Starbucks at JWU all lack the casual, «not trying too hard» charm that this Starbucks has. The baristas are genuinely pleasant and make well-crafted drinks. As for what drinks I might recommend for the first-timers or for those seasoned vets wanting to try something new, I’ve found comforting bliss on a hot day from the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher as well as the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappé. For hot drinks(that aren’t seasonal… oh pumpkin spice…) I go for an old favorite, Caramel Macchiato or, if you’re feeling for something sweet, mocha anything. The chocolate syrup gives me life! And I recommend downloading the app if you’re an avid Starbucks drinker. The rewards that you get are worth the price of admission(app is free and you pay for drinks you’d be paying for anyway). And you can reload the card with cash instead of linking your card or PayPal.
