I have been coming to get my haircuts from Nicholas (Zakhia) Chedid for almost 7 years and had gotten a cut from Wassim as well. Both are experts at their craft and I always leave my appointments happy with the result.
Nicholas has clients coming from places as far as Connecticut and Boston and I’ve witnessed a number of amazing transformations on a number of ladies when waiting for my appointments to start.
Both brothers are very accomdating and friendly. Their hours are good and there is plenty of street parking available within a block radius form the shop.

I wish I didn’t go there. Even though the haircut turned out more or less OK and the blow dry made my hair look really smooth and shiny. But excluding the professional side of that visit my experience was overall bad.
The person who did my haircut was on the phone every 5 minutes and I felt like I was bothering him. Also the way my stylist addressed me was barking-​like and very uncomfortable — in the end I started responding with «I am sorry «, «My pardon sir», «I am so sorry I didn’t know that», etc. or I was just silent.
I guess this manner of talking gave a really hard time to the salon receptionist. The young lady couldn’t understand what my stylist wanted her to do and he kept «barking» commands at her, and in the end the girl ran away into a staff room crying. I felt so bad for her…
When I was ready to pay and escape from that place I was told that they didn’t accept cards so I had to leave to get cash and then come back.

Went in as a walk-​in to get just my bangs trimmed, and I specified that I wanted the length of my bangs to be above my eyes but below my eyebrows… Well, it was definitely above my eyes, but not below my eyebrows.
The stylists there did not seem too welcoming, and the hair stylist did not bother to ask what kind of bangs I wanted to have and accidentally gave me a blunt one when I originally had a side-​swept one «because I thought it was supposed to be blunt».
Overall, not the best haircut, not the best service, definitely not going there again even for a trim.

Called in for an appointment at 6, receptionist did not inform me it was closing time, confirmed and same day vice president joe biden visited providence, roads were blocked and there was traffic, called them and nicholas picked up informed him i was going to be 20 mins late because of the above reason, said it was fine and that he was waiting for me
Reached the salon, saw the lights closed except one light, he gave me a look and said he was going to close and that i should leave, i said ok ill come tommorow then, he changed his mind later on, kept complaining on how he had to go which made the entire experience quite bitter and unpleasant
Showed him pictures of how i wanted to get my hair done, said he knew exactly how to do it, after cutting for a while it wasnt at all how i mentioned it to him, said he’ll make some additions, still it wasnt same as how i cut it back home, later he said he couldnt style it that way because of differences in the constitution of water in the US and Bahrain, noticed my side burns were not cut at same level, 3 – 4 centimeters of a difference, his work was pretty rookie and unproffessional, i was very disappointed
When it came to payment, i showed him my student ID card for discount, said he couldnt process it even though a clear notice was on the counter that they accept student ID for discount
Overall a very unpleasant experience, worst salon experience in my life (not exaggerating) both customer service wise and work-​wise ! definitely looking elsewhere for a haircut the next time !

The eyebrow threading here is weird. He shapes the brows just fine with the thread, but then he does a strange plucking thing afterwards with tweezers. The whole point of threading is to not pluck! Definitely not a huge fan. Luckily I found G Spot down the street soon after, and am much happier with the threading there.

I went in because Forever Nail Care was busy. I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent service. Nikolas is charming and attentive. I got my eyebrows threaded and he did a great job. I was thrown off because threading is female dominated but he knows his stuff. I will update next month when I go back again…

You’ve got to get your hair cut and colored by Wassim here, he is the absolute best! I moved away from RI and still haven’t found anyone as good as him. he always listens to exactly what I say and doesn’t mind taking the time to fix your hair if you dont’ like it… he is great at following pictures and listening to exactly what you want and how you want your hair done! I’ve never had another hairdresser that was so courteous and good!
