This is a great go-to for casual breakfast but not your average sausage egg and cheese type. They have some nice nuances in their menu so you feel like you’re having a trendy meal in a casual atmosphere. I recommend going during warm weather and eating under the trees outside as it adds a nice touch and you forget you’re in the city for a moment. The sandwiches for breakfast are actually rather large so I usually have half, and take the other half back to the office to enjoy late morning again.

Where was this place hiding? My girlfriend woke me up yesterday morning and said you need to try Olga’s Cup and Saucer. Apparently she has been before and admires it, so I figured she has great taste so I am down. We drive over to Olga’s, which I thought was an abandoned house because the yard work outside is mostly dead crops. But I think it adds a sense of personality to the place, because when you walk inside there are string lights all over the rafters, and there are plants all over the place. There is a chalkboard that provides some daily menu options and seating spread out throughout the restaurant. I really thought the lay out of this place was awesome. It felt like I was in my Aunt’s house or something, I felt comfortable. The set up is sort of like a bakery. They have a large glass casing with all of their goodies and breakfast foods inside. They have a good amount of options, and is the sort of place to go for a quick bite and a coffee in the morning. I would recommend this place as a definite morning date spot to surprise a girlfriend with one morning. My girlfriend and I decided to get the spinach and sun dried tomato biscuit with an egg on top and we also got the pecan and banana coffee cake. We sat down on one of the tables in the back room near the window. The seating even reminds me of seating someone might have on their outdoor patio which goes along with what I felt was their sense to make you feel like you were in someone’s garden. The biscuits were cold, but still very good. If they could’ve served them hot I think I might have ordered a second. Furthermore, the coffee cake was very rich, and I am not a dessert guy, but the pecans and banana went together great. This was a great little spot to add to my must return list, and I think anyone else would feel the same.

We went here for Valentine’s Day brunch and were NOT disappointed. Our wait was only 15 minutes and when we sat, we were greeted promptly. I had a delicious cappuccino and ordered the poached eggs on cheddar scallion scones. My boyfriend ordered the tostadas. My breakfast was absolutely perfect. It was so delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the scone was amazing. My boyfriend enjoyed his as well. The ONLY downfall was the service after we ordered. Our server disappeared for at least half an hour after we were done. Luckily we were on no hurry, but it was weird. When he finally came back, he seemed to be busy with three new tables. Which is fine, I completely understand, but it took awhile for him to notice we had been done. He eventually brought the check, but a different server had to cash us out. No biggy, though. All in all, the food was great and I would return regardless of service. I’m sure it was just a busy valentines day and I understand things happen! Maybe don’t come on the weekend if you’re in a hurry, but other than that, amazing!

Such a great place! Went here frequently this summer and fall because of the phenomenal outdoor seating. Since the weather has turned, I mainly pop in for a hot latte or a delicious pastry. Love the Mayan Chicken Salad Sandwich; it’s usually my go to order although the Pulled Pork has been put in my order rotation. My only complaint, or rather, suggestion, is to not order food if you’re in a rush. It can take 10 – 15 minutes for the food to be prepared(but it always tastes fresh and delicious).

It was 11 am. on Saturday on the east side of providence, my 2 teen boys and I were hungry and looking for something other than the butcher shop or Wayland square grill. I remembered driving by Olga’s and was able to sell it to my boys. We arrived and we’re promptly seated but I think we were lucky, it was busy. I had a delicious egg white omelet with veggies and a side of bacon and sour dough toast, my son who is a toast afficianato declared it was the best toast he had ever had. They enjoyed their food as well. It’s a hip fresh food fun place to eat.

I’ve been here twice, and both times I had the French toast. It’s that good!!! This is a nice place to go on a Sunday for brunch especially outdoors. It could get a little pricey, but I would definitely go back.

I work close by but I never have the desire to go to Olga’s. It’s hard to justify the prices for the quality of the food and the service. It always feels cold and unwelcoming; the attitude and atmosphere of the place is just a huge turn off. Go to Kitchen or Seven Stars or any of the places by Wickenden. I even prefer the nearby Starbucks by JWU to place(large selection, nice space, friendly baristas). I want to give them another chance but I really don’t want to sour my day either.

Update: my last two croissants have been wonky. That is, bread-y rather than flakey. What gives, Olga’s?

I visited Olga’s while traveling to Providence on business. Our client suggested we join them for lunch at Olga’s and I’m so glad we did! Olga’s is a very picturesque small café — think small, cute patio and inside all of the specials are written up on a chalkboard. Adorable! I chose the vegetable cheddar melt sandwich with coleslaw and my colleague ordered Thai noodles with tofu. Both were delicious and they were very healthy serving sizes. The only gripe, and I do want to preface this point by saying that you are fully warned when you arrive, is that the food takes quite a while to come out. But, again, it’s written on the chalkboard with the specials that food could take up to 20 minutes during peak hours so no harm, no foul. Overall, the food was wonderful, the ambiance was lovely and I would certainly recommend Olga’s for a nice lunch in Providence.

I love the environment at Olga’s, and the food is always fresh and tasty. Somewhat frequently, the orders are not taken properly and the food doesn’t always come out the way it did the time before. Consistency is lacking, I guess. Also, I’d love to see them maintain a consistent menu throughout the whole week, since we like the homefries they will not serve during the week. Lastly, it’s sort of expensive for breakfast.

Olga’s is a charming little eatery with yummy, hearty food. I came here at around 10 for breakfast with friends. Our waiter was very attentive and thoughtful — such a nice guy! The food also came quickly and was absolutely photogenic. I love Olga’s décor as well, with a quaint bakery in the front and a seating area in the back with blue and green tile tables and homey decorations. It makes your feel like you’re in some kind of cozy cabin in the woods, despite the surrounding city. Onto the food, though. I ordered the poached eggs on a cheddar scone, which came with two poached eggs, each one nestled on half a(huge) slab of scone, two slices of applewood smoked bacon, and home fries. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the scone was fluffy but still held its own against the egg and the copious amounts of Cholula I doused it with. It had a light but very pleasant cheese flavor. The bacon was substantial and flavorful, but more chewy than crunchy. The homefries were amazing, half potato and half sweet potato! I also ordered a Mexican hot chocolate, which came in a huuuge mug. It was actually not too sweet, which was good given the richness of the meal, and it had pleasant cinnamon notes. Upon leaving, I had to get some things from the bakery as well. I bought two marshmallows — vanilla and chai spice, and a pear upside down cake. The chai marshmallow was a little dense and sticky, and I only got a little bit of chai flavor at the very end. The vanilla marshmallow, however, was divine, like a next level Jet-puffed. The pear cake was very yummy — dense, cool, and brown sugary. However, it only had a very thin slice of caramelized pear on top, so more pear please! Go go go here, Unilocalers! Super cute and a great way to start the day!

I’m updating because of the service you get here. The staff ranges from just being tired to being plain rude. One guy has a tattoo that says«shut up.» What do you expect from such a person? He’s only happy if a customer is unhappy. I still like the fog tea and desserts but the cost is also keeping me away. Seven dollars for a plain grilled cheese is ridiculous. If you’re in the area, visit Rue Bis up the street. They’re well priced, the food is good and they are super friendly. You could never say that about this place

Great neighborhood coffee shop. Serving breakfast and lunch daily and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Nice menu with hot foods and a great selection of bread and pastries. Great coffee and a nice selection of teas and chais. Friendly staff. Will be back.

The first time I came here I left without eating because the first thing I saw was some eggs, home fries, and toast for just under $ 9 and the ambiance was smokey kitchen with wire chairs. Since then I have been here twice because someone else foot the bill and we sat outside. I enjoyed the cold Asian noodle dish they offer. Great portion size and flavors. The chipotle cheddar veggie melt is another story though. The spinach on that sandwich was not fresh, that ‘ish came from a freezer. That seems crazy right? I mean I hope it was from a freezer and not the case that the chef over cooked it so much, that it tasted like it was previously frozen. Not good. The hit or miss food, coupled with the uncomfortable indoor area, high prices, meter parking, and out of the way location gives this place a solid below average rating.

Came in with my father who drove me up to help me move in for College. I have heard wonderful things about Olgas and was looking forced to coming here. Unfortunately we were both very disappointed… Firstly we were slightly surprised by the self-service aspect of the entire café/restaurant. For such a nice place and the price we paid, it would be so much better to just provide a waitress/waiter. Meanwhile, the girl who took our food order at the cash register was unwelcoming and set the tone off for us from the get-co. My dad ordered the yogurt with granola– which the fruits were bitter and not in season, and I ordered the French toast which was phenomenal. Overall, I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed.

Ham and Swiss croissant was ok — the pastry itself didn’t have the layers or flakiness you’d expect from the lamination process and was overall kind of soft. I love croissants, but for 3.75 I’d pass on this as it lacked depth in flavor even with the ham and Swiss in the middle. The portion was good though. Peach cheesecake with hazelnut crust — 3.50 and very good portions. I overall liked this. The crust didn’t have a strong hazelnut flavor — it tasted strongly if almond extract which I was not too fond of. I did love the texture of the cheese part of the tart as it was light and airy with a mild cheese flavor.

Beautiful place but we were greeted with glares and had to move out of the way of the hostess and several waitresses as we stood in front of the hostess stand for several minutes. Overall: –Pretentious service –Slow to get our food(45 mins for a egg and sandwich) –Had To get our order we had to changed to To-Go. The resulting food was disappointing.

My family and I came here for brunch. We had a lovely time sitting on the patio! I really enjoyed the smoked salmon platter that came with capers, onion, tomato, cucumber, and a fresh bagel and cream cheese! My family got the cheddar scone and said it was delicious but would have liked a touch more cheddar cheese! All in all the prices were fair for the portion size! Great place Olga!

Food is suburb. Atmosphere is delightful. Counter help is wonderful. And yet I cringe whenever someone recommends a coffee or snack here. Metered parking is a pain in the butt. The wait for your food is always 10 minutes more than you think it will be. And flow is just weird. I never feel like I’m entering into the right door, in the right line or order my food, or can easily access the coffee creamer because no one else is sure where they should be standing to order or wait for their food. The tiny tables on the inside are crunched close together and often times wobbly. Internet isn’t reliable. It’s a great place to grab a coffee and bagel. It’s not my favorite place to sit for a relaxed meal. The food is truly excellent — I with the other parts of the experience didn’t detract from that.

Lunch at Olga’s? You don’t have to ask me twice. Aside from the fun atmosphere and gorgeous summer patio perfect for summer meals, the food at Olga’s has stolen my heart. Depending on my mood and the day, it’s a toss up between the B.A.T. and the awesome Asian Noodles(I prefer mine with the spiced tofu). Sure, it gets loud. Yes, it takes a while to get your food. But GUYS — it’s so good and so fun and so unique, I don’t care about the slight negatives. Also, the counter service and delivery system keeps things super simple and uncomplicated, making it ideal for groups. A few tips: bring plenty of quarters for the meter parking and if you’re ordering take-out, call a good 20 minutes prior to pick up.
