I went here for dinner and drinks with my fiancée. I was really disappointed, the sushi is just OK. We also ordered a side of fried rice, very small portion compared to the price and what we receive from other restaurants. I ordered the teriyaki beef and it was incredibly bland, of a taste of onions than anything else. The drinks were good, nice selection however they were very watered down. I won’t go back, you’re better off going to Nami or Seven Moons.

Never agajn! My car was towed for parking in a parking spot with no sign saying DONOTPARK! Noone ever came to ask if that was anyones car but since they have a contract with the toeing company they were quick to tow it. Whoever the owner/manager was started swearing at me and almost hit me. Very unprofessional! Goodluck serving alcohol to minors! The food sux btw!

I went for dinner in Friday and my friend and I went for hibachi and it was really good. I wasn’t sure how it would be because of all the negative reviews but we loved it, and the sushi was awesome. It tasted fresh and was plated really nicely and the hibachi chef was really funny and entertaining. Overall I really enjoyed this place and is within minutes of my dorm.

Came in for a casual lunch and was not disappointed. Service was spot on and the food was good. I thought the prices were very reasonable and would not hesitate to dine here again. Only complaint — they don’t have the mustard sauce!

Awesome atmosphere, lighting is great with vibrant colors. This place is very aesthetically pleasing, from the water fall to the glittering walls, it’s a modern and romantic setting that attracts anyone into its doors. I strongly recommend coming here on a date, special occasion or just to grab a drink. Sushi was great and so were the drinks. Stop by, you will not be disappointed!

I sadly have to change my review just a bit for Mount Fuji. Typically when I dine here I go at off peak times(during the week or on a Friday around 6), and I usually do not eat at the hibachi tables. Last night my friend decided to throw her birthday here. She had a 7:30 reservation, we waited almost 45 minutes for seats to open up. Isn’t the purpose of a reservation to have a table ready for you at a specific time? Every time we asked if our table was ready we were told no and it’d be 5 more minutes. As we waited we noticed random groups of people coming and being sat at hibachi tables. No one had a reservation, the hostess was just filling empty seats at tables. If you keep filling the tables how will a table for 8 ever open up? When we finally sat down we waited another 30 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink orders. At this point we were all ready to order our meals(we were starving!). After 15 more minutes we were brought waters and sodas we ordered. Our soup came out and our salad shortly followed. When our chef finally arrived he seemed miserable. He wasn’t enthusiastic at all and when we tried to perk him up(by basically cheering him on to give people sake and cheering on the birthday girl) he just went through the motions without even a smile on his face. He cooked the food, it tasted good as usual. Our waitress was basically missing the entire night and the bowls and plates and glasses had piled up really high on our table. When she finally came over to check on things one of my friends mentioned that she wasn’t happy with her scallops, twice, and loud enough that I could hear her across the table, but the waitress ignored her and walked away. I just feel like for all the money it’s costing us to eat here we could at least have some decent service. My friend was really upset that she chose to have her birthday dinner here. I understand that on a Friday night that the place is packed and it’s insanely busy but this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I did enjoy my food but the service at the hibachi tables is crap and the front end is a mess when it comes to honoring reservations. I’ll eat here but only on the other side in the dining room and only during hours where I know it isn’t busy. The food isn’t the problem, the staff is.

Slow service. Here with friends on a Friday night. Waited 90 minutes for apps which finally arrived after our dinner was already done. Chef sunny cross contaminated cooking services with raw egg and left egg shells in habachi rice(even after everyone at the table mentioned it). Good luck with getting drinks, better off getting yourself at the bar. You would die of thirst before the waitress showed up. Finally, all day I was looking forward to crab rangoons. After 2.5 hours and 3 attempts at reminding the waitress and manager; ended up leaving without them ever coming out. I would avoid this place! So many other good food locations in Ri to go to instead.

I’ve liked this place in the past, but was concerned when I saw the discount banners go up on the outside of the building. Decided I wouldn’t let that be the judge of the restaurant, but alas I’ll never know. Went at 530 and was turned away because they only had 2 hibachi chefs on so it was reservation only. My guess is that they’re cutting back. Not a good sign.

Not a good experience: 1. Had to ask 3 times for a beer. 2. Main course came out 1 minute after appetizer. 3. They forgot to give me rice I ordered. 4. Steak was extremely salty and both chicken and steak were overcooked. 5. I finally got 1 beer when I finished my main course. The upside: 1. salad was good. I’m going to Ichigo Ichie next time.

Against my will, I decided to try accompany a friend to Mt. Fuji a couple of months ago for hibachi. After squirting sake down my shirt fairly aggressively, I left unsatisfied with syrupy rice and syrupy salmon leftovers(drowning in sauce). A different friend urged me to give it one more shot a few months later. My boyfriend and I placed a take out order(5 minutes away walking distance) which consisted of crab rangoon, crab tempura and a California roll. The crab rangoons barely had any filling which was heartbreaking. The filing itself was generic and tasteless. I even threw 4 out of the 5 away, which speaks volumes since rangoons are half the reason I wake up everyday. The crab tempura was ALL shell; basically no fish at all. The sushi was fine; not great not awful. Nothing special at all. Save yourself and go to the glorious Phoenix Dragon or Kon Asian Bistro for hibachi.

Mount Fuji is absolutely amazing! Our chef Sky was hilarious. I went with a really large group and our waiter was really great with our orders. We were all happy with our meals & drinks. Service was great & the restaurant is beautiful!!! I will definitely go back again!

Not a fan. The sushi is overpriced and tastes pretty weird. The waitress/bartender was too busy chatting up all the guy customers I guess, including the ones in my group, because she forgot my order the first time, and then got it wrong the second time. smaller than usual portions. At least my sushi was really pretty, it just wasn’t edible. The décor and ambiance is cool though. Drunk kids stumbling in, kinda loud. But that’s fine with me. Won’t be returning.

Disregard any errors or type-o’s as I’m writing this on a FULL&HAPPY stomach! If you like Benihana then you’ll love Mt. Fuji! The energy in the restaurant was very vibrant. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Chef Lee was awesome, but our server Jackie wasn’t the brightest; but it couldve been the language barrier. The scorpion bowl was good, our sushi and oyster appetizer was delish, and our hibachi was great! HINT: We had a party of 5 and the gratuity of 17% was added to our bill. Typically it’s added for 8 or more. That was the only surprise. I’ll definetly visit this restaurant again when I’m in Rhode Island. … Time to relax as I’m happy, full and now tired! :)

Wow words can’t describe how amazing of a place this is. Walked in and just the atmosphere was perfect. First thing you see is a full bar with every kind of liquor known to man and monkey. It’s filled with lights tvs and a circular bar with good seats and don’t even get me started about the server. He made us amazing drinks and the care was fabulous. Now the food is just perfect there is also a hibachi as well and they cook the food right in front of you. I love chicken fried rice and what they gave me was perfect best fried rice ever. Deff will be returning soon

The food is really good. I’ve been here twice and ordered take out a few times. The inside is really nice and huge. There’s a normal dining side with a bar and then a separate room for hibachi. Unfortunately both times I was there the service was poor. We always wait for someone to take our order. Then they bring everyones food out at separate times. They should really wait till everything is ready and then bring it out. Also, the mixed drinks are so-so.

This sushi place is a great go-to for groups. We came here on a Saturday night and opted for the dining area, so I can’t speak for the hibachi area. But from what I could hear across the way, seemed like lots of fun. The floor plan is pretty open with a large oval bar separating the dining and hibachi area. The atmosphere is very night-lifey and a bit over the top for me. With alternating deep blue, purple, green and red lighting. However the service was pleasant and attentive. Not overbearing. Which was nice. We ordered the«love boat» to share. It was pretty good. The fish was fresh and the presentation was very nice. Although I half wish and expected that they placed it on a «boat.» A bit of a bummer. Overall a decent experience. Probably would come here again with a larger group for the hibachi.

The atmosphere isn’t exactly my style — lots of led lighting that changes color. So I have to agree with Kel S. that it’s a bit«cheese — ola». The sushi had a great presentation with some sort of tiki looking decorative background garnished with a flower and even a lemon made to look like a mouse! Oh and can’t forget the LED light with the sushi that changed color! The sushi was a-okay. Not the best I’ve had and certainly not the worst. Prices are comparable to every other sushi restaurant in the area. The hibachi portion of the restaurant looked fun, and would go back to try that!
