Wow, this place has a really bad rap on Unilocal. It’s a family owned Peruvian hole in the wall spot, not fancy, kinda run down looking and the prices reflect that. Talking $ 4 for 2 heaping tostadas, $ 7.99 for a half chicken w 2 sides, etc. The standout dish I had was the plantain/beef appetizer that was reaaaaaaaaallly good, all savory/sweet madness going on, very surprising. My group was basically dueling w our forks trying to get at it. #2 were the excellent steak tostadas, which had a great rub on the steak. 3 for the food overall(except for the plantains which get a 5). Inexpensive pricing, nice service, BYOB policy and the fact that there’s very few places in this particular neighborhood where you can get a full meal and spend less than $ 10 tax and tip included bump this place up to a 4. I’ll definitely be back, I’m sure there’s other yummy surprises in the menu.

We came here for lunch when Nick’s had a long wait and while the place was a little run down the food was a pleasant surprise. Some of the best chicken tacos and chicken quesadilla my husband and I have ever had. A true hole in the wall with great food.

We came here on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast after being turned away at Nick’s with a 45 minute wait. We were a little sketched out but were starving so we decided to go for it. We ordered basic egg breakfasts — mine was a cheese omelet and my guy got 2 eggs over medium. His eggs were overcooked but they do serve full size toast slices which is contrary to the super thin Wonder bread style toast you usually get. They put red onions in the homefries which is a yummy addition and they have a wide range of Nantucket Nectars juices. The menu offers other selections such as french toast, pancakes and several Spanish/South American breakfast options — all including various meat choices. The décor is lacking and it was fairly cold in the restaurant but the wait staff are friendly and we felt good about supporting a little mom and pop place that most likely gets passed up for Nick’s more often than it deserves. I’d say go ahead give My Deleite a try. It won’t blow your socks off but it will fill your belly up.

open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Mi Deleite caters to a Hispanic clientele, specifically Peruvian, that is craving some traditional fare. This is a family run establishment, and the waitstaff was very friendly. It is easier to speak in Spanish to them than English, but they seemed to understand and be able to communicate in both. There are no alcoholic beverages, but you can get traditional south american soda options such as Inca Kola. The food was tasty, but very salty.
