While the décor and staff were very pleasant and upscale. The music and other patrons would be better suited to a tacky strip club. The dj just played top 40 with no mixing whatsoever. Numerous drunk girls wearing strip club attire were bumping into and spilling stuff all night. I honestly had no idea what was going on. I was given my drink in a cheap plastic cup. The prices are very Cheap though. A bottle was under 200. I won’t go here again. I was told it was an upscale club. It was a shitshow.
I was not carded, nor was my purse searched on the way in.
Also, to their defense. All the people complaining about the club being where it is… that’s generally the idea. You don’t put loud nightclubs in residential areas.

Slowest service I have experienced thus far in the state of RI. Bartenders are rude and unprofessional. Will never return, don’t recommend anybody looking to have a good time to come.

Went for an event there. This was a a terrible place to have this type of event. The is very overpriced. The drinks are terrible. Had to stand the whole time for the event, it was so crowed that I’m sure I would have died in a fire. I had to stand by the men’s bathroom just so I can see the artist. Very disappointed.

You know it is bad when you start wishing you had stopped at the Wendy’s across from the resturant where you sitting…
It matters not the décor is gives an upscale feel for a RI spot. The service was s l o w. We ordered an ap that took 40 minutes. I try to stay away from rolls but they kept me from chewing off my own arm.
We chose this place because we are seeing a show next door, but by looks of things we are going to scarf down our meals. We’ve sat here for an hour and half and still don’t have our salads. Hey, but the rolls were good!
Update: Our lobster spaghetti and short ribs were good and that is what you want in a resturant, but it should also come with a side of service.
While the business has been open for less than a year there has been enough times to work out the kinks. If they want to stay in business they should do better.

Very beautiful and modern inside. Dj was really good. Drinks were strong but service was slow. Someone else mentioned in another review that the server seemed to often disappear and I can totally second that. The server told us that since we were sitting at a table we would have to order our drinks though her but she would only check on us every 20 – 25 minutes. Most of of us eventually started getting up and going to the bar. The main reason I am giving this place four stars is because of management. The manager/​owner was extremely helpful and eager to reserve tables for us. It was my best friend’s birthday and he brought out the cake with candles for her. He also cleaned everything up for us and packed what was left away so we could take it home. A very pleasant surprise. He was personable and it was easy to see that he took pride in the establishment.

This place is awful. Don’t ever go here unless you want to have the worst night of your life. The staff and bouncers are so unprofessional and so rude. They kicked out many people in my group for unfair reasons, like a 20 year old got kicked out for giving his 21 year old date money to buy HERSELF a drink. Staff is so disrespectful and rude and do not care about their guests. The bouncer screamed in my face after we politely asked if we could re-​enter our private event that we each paid $ 60 to attend, but go kicked out of for no good reason. The large bouncer also pushed a smaller 19 year old boy (along with his 19 year old female date who was wearing a dress and heels) to the ground for simply trying to ask if he could go back inside. The girl wasn’t even doing anything, but simply standing to the side minding her own business. It was abusive, unnecessary, and scary to watch. I had to call the police because this bouncer was on a rampaging power-​trip and i could see the night ending with someone in the hospital from this man. Not to mention the location is not a nice area and more looks like the slums of the bronx. Would not recommend to anyone unless i hated them and wanted them to have a terrible night.

I went to Mezzo a couple months after it opened. The decorations and atmosphere is beautiful but my experience was not. I went on a Saturday night and the dining room was not full. The service was extremely slow. The waiter we had took long periods of time to return to the table. I had asked for bread at the beginning (which I thought would automatically come to the table) but I did not receive it until I was almost done with my meal. At that point, I did not want it (common sense). The entrée I ordered was the short ribs and they were completely cold. I wanted to tell the waiter but he was no where to be found. After my experience, I would not return to the restaurant side. For the price of the meal, I could go to another restaurant to receive better service and food.

I was unexpectedly surprised by this unique establishment. I was expecting cheesy, tacky, NONE of the above! Instead, I encountered, professional, unpretentious, creative, and cool! First off I have to say the staff is a cut above the rest. All of them are genuinely friendly. I stress the word «genuine». It’s obvious they are happy with their jobs and must have a good boss or they are really good actors. The unpretentious vibe from the staff completely puts you at ease. The layout is an artistically stunning, well thought out, creative décor that deserves high acclaim. The two managers are down to earth and friendly. I forget the gentleman’s name but, I do remember Jennifer’s. My friend and I were not drinking that night with our meal and were given absolutely no attitude about this by our fantastic waiter. The food was delicious with its offbeat, fun presentation. The Charles street location reminds me of many establishments in downtown NYC, situated, in what seems like a a sketchy area, but inside is a hidden gem. The mostly Latino clientele is for the most part very well dressed. The only downside is that they have a $ 10 cover after 10:00 P.M. Drinks plus cover is not something I will do on a weekly basis unless, I am paying for live entertainment. If you like that really «clubby» night scene with lots of alcoholic women then head on over.

Compliments to the chef! Don’t pass on the bread pudding, simply amazing! Our guests raved over the calamari as well as mentioned bread pudding. Filets were amazing and my ribeye was cooked to perfection. Lobster Mac as a side was second to none.

Great place, very modern. The light up menus were very nice, food and drinks were great. The Mac and cheese was awesome, however the best part was the seven layer cake by far!

Just stopped in to check the place out. We had the special of the day scallops with an amazing-​to-​die for lobster sauce, Lobster mac and cheese and twice baked potato. The service was on point. The lounge manager Jennifer Freitas stopped in and was a delight as she gave us tour of the remodel lounges.

The area this restaurant is in is pityful… like a road into downtown Detroit. It amazes me the dirty, dumpy and just plain run down condition of this State. Yet, a trendy restaurant is situated across from an empty, littered, overgrown, rusted out mangled fenced in lot… the area is just not where I’d want to be.

Were to start.
I had went to the grand opening event on the 25^th of September and I was greeted at the door but two doormen that had welcomed myself and my guest and we had stated that we weren’t looking for food from the prime section but we would like to have a few drinks at the bar if they had little finger foods and they had mentioned that they also did have a small menu at the bar. When we sat at the bar we were greeted by the bartender and the layout looks pretty much the same as the old pearl lounge with lots of updates. My guests and I had ordered drinks and I had order 8 oysters, Figuring the grand opening I assumed that the seafood would be fresh and boy was I wrong. When the oysters were brought out the bartender had placed them in front of me and a smell of rancid fish or more like bad feet. I had thought maybe its was the condiments that had come with the oysters until I looked at the oysters themselves and you could notice green film all over them. The bartender had asked how my oysters were and I mentioned I wouldn’t eat them and I asked her to smell the oysters herself and she almost threw up herself. I appreciate that she went and told her manager and took it off my bill, but if you are coming here for food I would think twice about ordering the seafood.
Now about the lounge. I have been to pearl many times so I’m pretty familiar with the old layout and the dance floor is basically the same without the center Island with the glass figure. The outside doesn’t seem to be touched from the old lounge. One thing I did notice they changed the different sections where the old pearl had the Asian area and the white room. Prime I had noticed that they had the fancy sliding glass doors with a nice restaurant feel.

My husband and I gave Prime Cut Modern SteakHouse a try on our visit to Rhode Island and we have one word for it AMAZING !!
From the service to the food everything was excellent ! You can tell they take pride in what they do and we were more than happy to experience such a great restaurant/​lounge.
You have to try their 7 layers cake… its so good !!! Forget about the diet :)
The restaurant and the lounge are very modern, and the ambiance complimented the beautiful dinner my husband and I had.
We will go back to Mezzo nest time we are in RI, and I highly recommend the place.

I got invited to the soft opening off this amazing place on Wednesday the 23 of September 2015. It is an amazing experience from the minute you pull up to the front of this modern establishment! First I was greeted by some very nice valet gentlemen and doormen. The place is the most modern Lounge and Restaurant I have seen! It is well lit and beautiful to witness as soon as you enter! There are awesome backgrounds to take pictures in front of to capture your memorable experience and friendly staff members guiding you to all that Mezzo has to offer! There is seating everywhere very alert staff for all your needs if you stay in the Lounge for some drinks and dancing on their year 3000 dance floors and amazing video screens running clean as 4K video! If you just want to have a great meal head over to Prime Cuts Modern Steakhouse to the right of the entrance! You will encounter sliding glass doors to see an amazing futuristic Restaurant with Pictures by local artists that capture Providence at its best! There are several Dj booths that play awesome music plus several locations of drinking stations to grab a drink and head 2 different rooms to enjoy great music and light shows never seen before! If you want to get some fresh air head outside to the Patio and enjoy some fresh and and more great music and have yourself a great time with a great environment with good energy!
