matt did our engagement shoot (last summer in nyc) and our wedding in portsmouth, ri over columbus day weekend and i cannot express how glad we are that we hired him (but i will try.) we had a lot of fun getting to know him during the engagement shoot, and so by the time the wedding came it was like meeting up with an old friend. his second shooter at the wedding (kendall) was awesome too… they did an amazing job capturing every part of the day — from the preparations at the hotel to the last dance move busted (and were really fun to hang out with while doing so.) our pictures are absolutely gorgeous. matt has a great eye and he captured all the shots we asked for, plus a million other super creative, visually captivating ones i would never have thought to ask for. he took his time in the hours leading up to the wedding, but then he knew that i was anxious to get inside to the cocktail hour, so he was a well oiled machine when it came to the family portraits. i highly, highly recommend him. our photos came back 3 weeks after the wedding and i keep getting texts from the guests raving about them (and everyone keeps finding a new «favorite».)

Matt was an amazing photographer. We started out with a complimentary engagement picture session to get to know him. He was accommodating to the fact that we are from out of town and scheduled a session while we were in town on Thanksgiving weekend. Although it was raining that day, Matt had thought of indoor and covered spaces that were urban and creative and the pictures came out great. His personality and creativity with a tough situation gave us the confidence that we needed for our wedding day photos.
On the wedding day, Matt was with us the entire day, from getting ready at the salon/​hotel to the end of the reception. All day, Matt was present to keep us calm when needed and invisible when we needed privacy for more intimate moments. He helped us come up with ideas for a gorgeous first look and was even willing to walk around the venue with us the week before the wedding to make sure that we weren’t wasting time on the wedding day trying to find the best picture spots. At the end of the night, many guests mentioned how fun our photographer was.
Matt sent us our wedding pictures in a very timely fashion (less than 2 weeks after the wedding!). They were absolutely perfect, an array of everything we asked for (some formal, some artsy first look pictures, formal pictures with our immediate families, beautiful ceremony pictures and lots of candids of our guests). The pictures were professional, yet personal and we couldn’t have asked for him to do anything differently or better.

We hired Matt as our wedding photographer and he did a really great job. Matt was very responsive, professional and helpful throughout the entire process. On our actual wedding day he was incredible; making us laugh through a few posed shots we requested and then blending into the crowd to catch beautiful candids of what was happening. He shared a sneak peak photo 3 days after our wedding and more images on his blog within a week — we were looking at them on our honeymoon! Two weeks later, I am sitting with the photos on a disc, in my hand. The photographs are fantastic, and capture really great moments throughout the day — also, we opted to include a photo booth for the end of the night and the pictures are so much fun. Matt is a great talent, we highly recommend him and would work with him again in a heartbeat!
