This place is great. Lots of variety and the quality is high as well. The overall rating undervalues the offerings.

The Juggs. Pretty good. It’s basically a Thanksgiving sandwich. It was watery due to the tomatoes, so omit them to avoid the sogginess. Overall I didn’t think this sandwich was anything special. It was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Plus, there’s not many spots to have a seat either. But what impressed me was the owner himself. We looked at the chalkboard like deers in headlights. No idea where to start, never mind what to pick. Geoff stepped in and made suggestions, pointing out The Juggs as his number one seller. He also told us about the Tuesday special, two for one sandwiches. Super helpful and polite. As we waited in line, he enthusiastically engaged in conversation with us. A really genuine person, very down to earth. He asked us if we’ve been here before, where we were from, things like that. It’s a rarity to find someone who’s so personal to his customers, and who truly values those that walk into his business doors. His employees are equally warm and outgoing. I know this review should focus on the food, but he deserves the recognition. Who wants to give business to a jerk, regardless of how mouthwatering his food is? For those reasons, I will come back, encouraging anyone else to as well. And of course, give this place a second chance at the sandwiches lol.

Could be the worst experience for lunch. Ever. It’s not even worth my time to go into detail. This place failed in every category of judgment for dining, from service to taste. I threw the sandwich out of my car window in the middle of Prospect St. in sheer disgust.

I don’t know how this place could get less than five stars, they have literally everything and anything you could want in a sandwich. Make it however you like or order one of the countless options off the board! Tuesday is two for 1! Did I mention there is a giant bucket of pickles?!

Here’s the deal with Geoff’s. If you want unlimited vinegar soaked pickles from a barrel, go here. It was the highlight of my meal. If you want a HUGE selection of creative sandwich option with cooky names(such as the Bermuda Triangle, the Monster Lisa, or the Doonesbury), go here. If you want something fast and inexpensive, you should pass. I ordered The Juggs. There were literally only two people in line, two people behind the counter and it took FIFTEENMINUTES to make a sandwich. The price: 9DOLLARS. Don’t get me wrong, the sandwich was very good, but it was rather small and definitely an item that I could have made myself fairly easily. While the marketing ploys for this place are pretty creative, it falls short on delivery(as in… the food and service). 3⁄5 stars.

This place had so many options! There were so many unique dishes to their menus and it was so interesting to see all of the tasteful combinations of foods on their sandwiches. I enjoyed a turkey sandwich with cheese and bacon. It was so good especially with the superlative bun that is custom to their restaurant, which is like a way bigger Kaiser roll bun. The pickles are unlimited and taste phenomenal

Came here recently for the Two for One special. Sandwiches are good, but there are way too many options. I liked the ingredients of my pastrami sandwich, but unfortunately I was not wowed. I will come to explore other options on the menu.

Geoff’s Superlative Sandwiches is a great spot to grab a tasty sandwich in the city. However, get there at the wrong time and it could take you over thirty minutes just to place your order. I would recommend calling ahead for Geoff’s because both of the times I went the wait was out of control. My best advice would be to avoid their Tuesday two for one special because waiting is excruciating, especially if you have to head back to work. Geoff’s gives off the vibe of a grungy hole in the wall sandwich shop with their street style menu boards to their sandwich mascot, who looks like the honker burger mascot on drugs. Of course the honker burger mascot is from the short lived, highly beloved television series Doug on Nickelodeon. I would not plan on eating at Geoff’s because seating is limited and it gets very cramped and packed, making it an uncomfortable spot to eat. If you can snag one of the tables outside on a nice day, then you are in the clear, but I would plan to eat somewhere else. The menu is overwhelming as well. They are organized enough to break it down by what is the main meat/vegetable option in each sandwich, such as Fowl, fish, multiple meats, etc. However, it still doesn’t take away the fact that there’s literally like 30 – 40 sandwiches to choose from. Luckily the lines are usually so long you can look through the whole menu to figure out your option. They also allow you to create your own sandwich, however you please. They offer various bread options, Now with a gluten free option as well. Also, they do offer free pickles. I repeat they do offer free pickles, and you can eat as many as you want! These are the good pickles trust me I know my pickles! Anyway once you finally defeat the giant snake monster that is their line, you will get to place your order, and then you get to wait in another line to pay for your meal, which takes around 5 – 10 minutes. They really need to figure out this whole line situation, or make their sandwiches faster. Now this does not take away from how good the sandwiches actually are. I have been here twice and both times have ordered the Providence Monthly, which is a grilled chicken sandwich, with tomato, avocado, red onions, and instead of Shedd’s sauce I get honey mustard. The Shedd’s sauce is some mayo combination that I just wasn’t feeling so I went with the honey mustard. The sandwich is legendary, I love it, but it’s the fact the every time I got I know I will be up against this line that turns me away from going there most of the time. All in all it is a great place for a sandwich, but just know you will be waiting for a while to eat it. Peace out cub scouts.

Probably the first best sandwich I ever had. Thanks to Geoff’s I have a sandwich standard to judge each and every other sandwich by forever. First had a Geoff’s in early 80’s and just about knew it was a-okay from day one. Yes, I love Jugg’s!!!

Best sandwich joint in USA. Inexpensive, loads to choose from, always fresh and delicious. Julio who is often found at the register, is always entertaining. My personal fav is the Chicken George on a superlative roll(awesome bread by the way). Free pickles too!

This is probably the best sandwich(not counting po’boys) that I’ve ever had. And the people that work there are great! Let’s start with the fact that you get unlimited free pickles that are TODIEFOR! They are so delicious and fresh, seasoned perfectly. Then the menu, I have never seen so many choices before in my life. It was a bit of a struggle to narrow it down to just one choice, but I ended up choosing the David Cicilline sandwich: genoa salami, provolone, pepperchinis, lettuce, tomato, onion and vinegar and oil. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC sandwich. I got it on their signature roll, which was also amazing. The clean taste of all of the fresh ingredients made me wish I had ordered one for later. It was a huge portion, and I was certainly full. You could tell they took care to prepare it perfectly and there was plenty of salami and all of the other toppings to balance the large roll with flavor. Cute little shop in RI with great people. The staff gave us suggestions on places to sight-see and welcomed up to Providence kindly. If ever I go back to RI I will most definitely return!

Went for lunch, had a gift card so decided to check it out. The selection is overwhelming, there are so many different sandwiches with so many fun names of RI famous people. Decided on the Frigid Bitch sandwich on a wheat wrap, this had turkey, chive cream cheese, cucumber, tiger sauce, spinach, and sprouts, it was delicious. The other sandwich was the Chicken George Sandwich which was chicken salad, bacon, melted Swiss cheese, hot spinach, tomato, onion, Shedd’s sauce and Russian dressing but she got this on wheat bread. My only suggestion is to order this on a wrap or maybe a roll as it is too messy on regular bread. This sandwich had great flavor as the onions tasted like they were a little pickled. This sandwich shop offers unlimited pickles, they have a big barrel in the middle of the store for you to take pickles from. I believe they are homemade and such a great differentiator. They have a few small tables and a bar like area with stools so you can definitely eat in. Check the menu out beforehand bc there are board everywhere with choices so it can be a bit much.

I thought the entire experience was a let down… It took forever to place our orders and even then, they had to ask us a few times what we were actually ordering. They just need a better system. My sandwich was good but it said it came on a roll(which i think would have been better) and then they asked what kind of bread I wanted. Just need better communication…

Wow! After hearing all the talk around town, I finally tested Geoff’s for myself. I’m impressed by their huge selection of sandwiches. From meat, meatless, fish, triple meat!!! or create your own, etc. you are bound to find your own slice of heaven. I got the Banzini Brothers on a superlative bun. It’s roast beef, ham, turkey, and I choose cheddar cheese. They have these melter machines that they place your deli meats and cheeses in to warm up and melt everything. I’m a plain jane and don’t get lettuce, tomato, or onion but you do get that option! The best part is… F-R-E-E PICKLES!!! Just a warning, street parking is limited, but don’t let this shy you away from visiting Geoff’s…It’s worth a walk down Benefit St.

Cool place with yummy sandwiches! I come here often on the twofer Tuesday’s, though I suggest you go at slightly off hours like 11AM or 5PM to avoid the long lines. The food is consistently good. I’ve gotten a few of their sandwiches, and my favorites are the frigid bitch and the diamond. Frigid bitch is turkey with cucumber, sprouts, chive cream cheese, and some other goodies. The diamond is a unique combo of tuna, mushroom, spinach, and sauce. You can also request to get their Shedd sauce, which is pretty tasty. There are a few options for bread, the Superlative — a massive white flour roll, wheat, rye, and dark rye. I usually get my ‘wich with dark rye, and it’s enough to fill me up and then some. The Superlative is good if you have a big appetite, but for me it’s just too many carbs. Their other breads are normal sized and pretty yummy; the only fault is that they can get pretty soggy with all the veggies and sauces. The restaurant is pretty small, with a cool hipster vibe. The same goes for the servers. There’s a huge tank of complimentary pickles in the middle of the shop, and you can grab as many as your heart desires. However, my heart does not desire these pickles, since they’re too bland for my taste. This is a cool place and great for a filling and affordable meal. The creative sandwich combos and quirky names will definitely bring a smile to your face!

I’ve been hearing a lot about Geoff’s since coming to Providence, and I finally decided to check it out the other day! I had the Providence Monthly, a grilled chicken(«fowl») sandwich with avocado, melted muenster, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Shedd’s sauce, which is a horseradish/mayo/mustard combo. The avocado was fresh and delicious, and the chunks of chicken were browned and well seasoned, but the sauce kind of clashed with everything. The superlative roll was fluffy and giant, but as a result the ingredients were kind of weirdly distributed around the sandwich(as you can see in some of the pictures). The problem is that most of the sandwiches(at least the ones you’d want to order) are $ 10+ after tax. Therefore, unless you’ve got tons of cash to blow on sandwiches, it’s really only worth coming here on the two-for-one Tuesdays. Now I’ll admit, I’ll spend up to $ 13 on a sandwich at All Star Sandwich Bar in Cambridge, MA. But that’s with table service and it’s for a truly awesome sandwich. I’m not sure if the sandwiches here at Geoff’s are mind-blowing enough to merit the price tag. I definitely agree with other reviews that the cleanliness of this place is less than desirable. It’s not even the dirt/dust on the floor and the counter that bothers me. For example, they were cooking grilled chicken in the panini press when I was here? I probably would not be thrilled about that if I were vegetarian. Overall, a sandwich from Geoff’s makes a decent meal, but it’s nothing crave-worthy, especially considering the high prices and dirty store. Maybe they should change their name to Geoff’s Comparative Sandwiches!

I love these folks! It’s a great deal, and the options really are endless. I went in the other day and I had the Juggs sandwich, which was super good. I chose this sandwich because I saw a friend of mine had reviewed them on Unilocal and had said the sandwich is a good choice. I was very surprised to see they had gluten free bread(which is why I went in the first place). So yes, it was a great sandwich. The coffee? So mediocre! They do really lose points though for their customer service. Their manager was quite unkind to their employees the other day. I could tell the person making my sandwich was unimpressed by the manager’s snide remarks to the staff. I would have been, too. Great pickles?

The sandwiches are good and made with fresh ingredients. If you cannot find something you like here, you will surely not find it anywhere. The sandwich choices are wide, varied, and even unique. On Tuesdays, sandwiches are buy one, get one free. I don’t recommend coming around noon, unless you want to wait in a long line. But if you come in around 11 or after 1, you can avoid it. There is a barrel of pickles in which you are free to take as many as you wish. Why not a better rating? The seating is limited and crowded. The parking is definitely not any better. And I do not agree with or like how the owner runs things.
