Elmhurst Extended Care

Whatever you do, do not take your relatives to Elmhurst Extended Care. We have been here once before and had a horrible experience, so much so that we took my grandmother out asap. We are here again unfortunately and to no surprise we are having a horrible experience again! There are about 3 people to a room, tvs are in the worst spot for viewing, it took us more than fifteen minutes for a nurse to come to help, there are no private bathrooms for each patient, the room was hot and to make matters worse their employees who have smoking problems smoke right outside their front doors taking no consideration for the patients and visitors that would like to live smoke free. Disgusting place. Disgusting place to have in Elmhurst. I would love to see this place demolished, rebuilt, and restaffed to the likes of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
