I have followed this lady to every place she’s been in the 10 years I’ve lived in Rhode Island, which has been at least 4. Coming from California, I have high standards for tacos, and she hits it out of the park. I love the Carne asada, and the sopes are amazing. I have not had 1 thing there that wasn’t delicious.

I’m very happy that they returned to Vally street. This place may not look like it but some of the best tacos and Mexican around. Right now only outdoor seating so pick your day or go takeout. So if your in need of a real Mexican taco fix this is the place.

I love this place. Everything about it. The place is a Tardis. It’s bigger inside than out. Tiny lady making tacos and such. She is amazing. They have Lengua, tender and delicious. Green and red pica de gillo. Radishes that make me burp. Real sugar pineapple Fanta. Eat cheap, tip big, hit the flea market next door. Or… You know… Don’t.

Best taco place in RI. The beef is well seasoned and there is plenty on cheese and extras on the tacos. Try the gorditas they are filling and amazing.

Just left this little Taco Trailer and was pleasantly surprised. The woman who was working there and cooking my tacos was very sweet! Thank goodness she didn’t mind my less than perfect Spanish. Fortunately I am fluent in ordering food in Spanish. Nothing can get in between me and tacos! I had one chorizo, one pastor, one chivo(goat), and one lengua. I love how she gives you a bigger container of hot sauce rather than the smaller ones from other taco joints. She also gave me a container of bright and fresh pico de gallo with visible chunks of jalapeño. The lengua was tender and delicious. The chorizo was nice and smoky and was not the kind where it was sausage just diced up. It was ground sausage which I prefer. The pastor was more so the consistency of shredded pork with sweetness from the pineapple. I prefer my pastor to be moreso chopped up after being on a trompo. But I know most places don’t have the rotating spit for their Al Pastor but I am not a huge fan of pastor having the consistency of pulled pork. To each his own. The last one I had was the goat which was delicious and not gamey at all like some goat or mutton tends to be. Overall a great experience and she was a sweet heart so I will definitely come back and try some more tacos and possibly a burrito next time. They have tons of filling options for more adventurous eaters! I will try cabeza next time! Also she has a sign stating she is using free range chicken now too for those of you who are poultry lovers.

The original listing for this has been removed somehow. There were many reviews from when they were at this address before. They are back in the same spot after a couple moves. I love El Taconazo. Definitely one my favorite places for good Mexican food.

7−24−15: Hands-down, the best, authentic Mexican. The fresh ingredients are bursting with flavors. Check out the pictures. Nothing fancy! But if you want the best Mexican, go here.

If anyone is wondering, yes el taco has moved again and hopefully this is there last! I guess the other spots weren’t working, so they’re back at the their original location and I’m glad that they are! Definitely authentic Mexican food and and don’t be set back by the inner-city feel. This place is the epitome of «hole in the wall»!
