DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

Great place for shoes. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap because you can to to Macy’s and get it cheaper with coupons.

DSW at the Providence Place Mall has become my go-​to location when I’m in need (or not in need) of a pair of shoes to add to my working collection. Since signing up for their email and mailing services I have received a plethora of coupons to add to the already great deals to be found at the store. From my recent trips of memory, I have left with a pair of:
– VANELi shimmery red pumps: Original Price ($ 60) — Clearance Price = $ 30
– Jeep trail hiking shoes: Original Price ($ 89) — Clearance Price = $ 17
– Sketchers sneakers: Price $ 50… feels like I’m walking on air!
All of these bought with a coupon for $ 10 off of $ 10 that was mailed to me. Savings on top of savings is what I love!
This location is very large! Found where the bookstore used to be, there are aisles upon aisles of shoes grouped by style, both men’s and women’s. I can get lost in this store for a long time looking at pumps, flats, boots, sneakers, sandals, slippers… the list goes on and on. There is a large side section selling purses as well! In the back you can find their clearance section of both shoes and bags. It’s not a trip to the mall without at least a couple minutes perusing these walls.
The staff are very helpful and cheery. When checking out they always seem excited to let you know exactly how much you saved on your trip. In fact, I was actually congratulated on my $ 72 savings this last trip on the Jeep shoes. Makes you feel good about your purchase instead of guilty if its one of those «not in need» trips!

I always find something I like at DSW and I love this location since I work and live in Providence. I tend to go on off hours though (lunch breaks) so the past two times I’ve gone I’ve had to wait at the register for a bit because the salespeople were on the floor and didn’t see me.

Very good selection of all types of footwear. Fitness, casual, sandals, etc. National Chain provides good prices because they buy in bulk. Sometimes they run specials and coupons that add to the discount.

So this is my first non food related Unilocal review. DSW is the best addition to the Providence Place Mall in years. I always find sometime and they seem to always have my size, maybe I’m just lucky. There’s a huge selection of Mens dress and causal shoes with prices half of what you find at Nordstroms. I just picked up a pair of Keens for $ 109, and I’m loving them!

Why do I even bother shopping elsewhere for shoes? I went to Nordstrom, then Macy’s totally willing to pay $ 100 for a pair of upscale boots (oxford style not cowboy) and I found their selection to be poor and the shoes to not be of a quality worthy of the price.
Then I remembered that PP mall had a DSW. I’m in shoe heaven, feasting on ambrosia and drunk on that new shoe smell (insert Paolo Nutini «new shoes»). Row upon row of designer shoes at $ 50-​$ 100. I love Zappo’s but sometimes I like to go old school and try before I buy, because nothing makes an outfit shine like a fine pair of shoes.

I love DSW for the amazing discounts that can be found in the clearance section. Be sure you also check out the clearance handbags… you can often find a trendy, unique statement bag at a great price!

I like that they put a DSW in the mall! It is a little smaller than their free-​standing stores, but it is still a larger selection than most of the mall shoe stores. I always love their clearance section to get the good deals!
