Can only speak to their take out offerings and that part of their store. If you call in advance to pick up, you can get in and out pretty quickly. Their specialty sandwiches are pretty good(try the Bluto or the Popeye), but not really worth $ 10. I wouldn’t come out of my way to go to Alibi’s but it’s easily the most convenient place for lunch. Service is always friendly.

Great pub for a sandwich and drinks. Been there twice for lunch in the last month while in business in Providence. The bartender is friendly and attentive to his customers. Service is very quick.

Only went in for a drink… a glass of wine, but it got poured from a tiny twist off bottle. My friend had a sandwich that she said she liked. I’d have to try it again and get a different drink. Looked like a fun place to go after work.

I went here for a private party, and was surprised at how nice it is on the inside. The outside and the neighborhood definitely gives off a dive bar feel, but it was clean and well decorated. They had a full bar, but there was a sign up that said«Cash Only, No Tabs, Credit Card Minimum of $ 25». So unless you’re buying a round for you friends, you pretty much can’t use your card, so bring cash. Also a beer and a vodka soda were only $ 10, so it’s cheap! I didn’t even realize they had food since this was a party that was catered from an outside place, but I’d go back and try them out again.

I really liked their Popeye sandwich and it was the perfect thing to get in between my lectures at Claverick Bldg. The prices may be a little expensive, but I was happy with both the service and the food. Reminds me of a div-y bar. The place is fairly small, with only 4 – 5 tables, but the service is fast enough where you can just take your food to go and eat outside.

Sanwiches are great. We had a slight mix up today that was promptly corrected. Try the popeye or Italian. You will love it. They also have vegitarian options and a good beverage selection.

I’ve been ere a few times since it’s so close to my job. The problem is simple: the food is hit or miss. There is a deli on one side for take out and a little bar or lounge with a pool table and patio on the other. Probably would be a cute place to grab a drink. The inconsistency of the sandwiches is the only thing holsing this little place back.

Not a bad place to stop in and have a drink. During the day they have a deli around the corner. Sandwiches and coffee are great. Nice to have this type a place not to far from work, I do recommend!

They’re near where I work, they make your food quickly, and the sandwiches are tasty. Admittedly you’re going to get ripped off if you don’t get a large sandwich(twice the size for ~$ 1.50 more) and it’s not a place to stay and eat because it’s too small, but the food gets made quickly and it’s above average. If you’re nearby and you really want a sandwich, this would be my pick; Olga’s has more creative sandwiches that are very good but is also more expensive. I usually find my bacon crispy enough, so I’m not sure what everyone else is talking about.

I called in to make a take-out order and was told my order would be ready in 5 minutes. Well, I came in 15 minutes later and they had only JUST started making the sandwich. That is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a place that overcharges their sandwiches like Alibi. Overall, I’d say that Alibi has okay sandwiches, but for the price and service they’re not worth it.

As I sit here typing away on my lunch break, I am currently munching on some chili from Alibi and felt inspired enough to write a review. LUCKYYOU! Alibi is another one of those places that I wouldn’t know about unless I happened to work a few yards from it. So whenever I’m craving a really delicious turkey sandwich on fresh French bread, I’m heading to Alibi. I’ve tried a few things there. I’ve had my sandwiches hot and cold, with and without bacon, sides of pasta salad, sides of potato salad, sides of chips, and now chili. I can honestly say that I’ve never eaten anything bad at Alibi. While some of the sandwiches I’ve had aren’t great, and while the bacon is limp and chewy, and while chili really isn’t my favorite thing in the world(I hate the beans!), I’m still a fan of Alibi. When you do get exactly what you’re craving(my favorite: small turkey sub with cheese and lettuce, slightly toasted) it’s one of the greatest lunch experiences ever. That being said, when you get what you are craving, and it’s not what you wanted it to be(i.e. the chili — TOO many beans!), it’s still good enough to continue eating. There are two fun things about Alibi. There is the counter service where you can just head in and pick up your lunch, and there is the bar. You can get everything at the bar that you would at the deli counter, but this provides a sit down opportunity to watch people drink on their lunch break. Rebels or addicts? You decide. And if you’re looking for a drink collection of Coke products, Vitamin Water and Naked(naughty!) Juice, this is a good place to look. All in all, I think you’ll have a pretty good lunch experience.

Sometimes you just want a sandwich-sandwich! The french bread is awesome here but I still always get the Sea Quest: Rye bread, tuna salad(very dill-y — yum!), bacon(hold the bacon — terrible), honey mustard, hot sauce, lettuce, tomato. Everyone’s always friendly, even in the lunch rush. This place used to be Nobody’s, then was closed for at least a year, then reopened as Alibi with the same exact menu. I’ve never been to the bar.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to find this place hidden in the Jewelry District but if you are in the area for lunch they make some solid sandwiches. They are pretty quick. They don’t have the friendliest service but its a pick up counter so it doesn’t really bother me. Good price for a good sandwich.
