Springdale Golf Club

For the record, I’ve not played golf here, and this really is a club dedicated mostly to golf (no pool or tennis, etc.). However, I did have occasion to dine here on a recent Friday evening with some friends, and the experience was top notch all the way.
Cocktails on the clubhouse porch overlooking both the golf course and the tower of Princeton Univ, while the sun sets? Wow — very nice.
Service both on the porch and in the dining room was superb (thanks AJ!). We happened to be there during one of their lobster nights (2 lb lobster) and every part of the meal, from the homemade potato chips, to the perfectly cooked lobster, and excellent corn & cole slaw was great. The wine selection is great here as well, and luckily my friend chose an excellent Chenin Blanc — the perfect accompaniment to our lobster-​fest. If you have a chance to dine at this club, especially in nice weather when you cna at least have drinks outside, don’t pass it up.

We had a nice dinner with friends. They ran out of the tuna so 2 in our party had lobster — which was a bit small. The starter salads were generous portions. Apple pie for dessert with vanilla ice cream was ok– could have put a bit more Apple in the crust.
