This is a tough review to write and rate. In fact, it’s downright«crappy.» There’s never a good time to talk about the need for a colonoscopy. Butt, they’re recommended as diagnostic screenings once you hit 50. Of course, most people would rather do without. Since most people don’t have a gastroenterologist on their«go-to» list of doctors, it’s usually necessary for a physician or friend to recommend one. I chose to have my primary care physician give me a list of recommended specialists. My words, «if you had to refer your mother, which would you choose?» After the referral and feedback from several of my friends, I chose Dr. Meirowitz at Princeton Gastroentrology Associates. My initial consult was about 45 days ago, with the medically-necessary«intimate relationship/procedure» occurring about 30 days ago, and the followup visit today. The procedure itself takes place at Princeton Endoscope center in the suite right next door. When I was rolled into the room for the procedure, each of the staff welcomed me, and explained each step of the process. Glad to report, all is right in the nether regions. Dr. Mirowitz was candid, funny, informative and professional. He was thorough in his explanation of what was about to happen, how to prepare for it, and what to expect afterwards. He was right on the money. The procedure itself was fairly quick and not painful at all. Lesson learned. My fears were unfounded. Seriously folks, it you need to have it done, don’t put it off. If you don’t yet have a gastroentologist to do it, I recommend Dr Meirowitz.
