Let me first start by saying… we liked the photos. If it didnt take 9 months, back and forth emails/​calls, and an attorney getting involved, he would have received a 3.5−4. (a 4 to 5 if communication was improved)
It’s difficult for me to write this… and I have put off writing this for 2 months now (after we received our files and had them finished) since we like our photos and I understand personal issues can sometimes cause disruptions but we feel this whole ordeal was not handled properly and anyone considering using Kacy’s services should be aware.
The story:
We gave it 2 – 3 months after the wedding without bugging him for the photos. The next 3 months we were trying to reach out bi-​weekly. There was little to no response. We started to get concerned and were really trying to handle amicably. Ultimately, we were forced to hire an attorney to reach out. There was still some back and forth, with responses taking 2 – 3 weeks which delayed us further. Finally 8 months in, someone else took over his files and correspondence to resolve the matter. We ended up taking our raw photos and paying a third party to do the finishing work.
This was very stressful, time consuming, and in the end, we are happy with the photos but what a nightmare! We had to reach out to multiple photographers, have meetings, and select someone else to handle the matter. We were offered finishing services from one of his colleagues/​friends but we chose him for his style and were uncomfortable with someone else taking over unless we were able to hand select them.
One of our biggest concerns and pet peeves was he was still taking on new jobs/​work while he had 9+ other couples who had not received their photos.
Again — in the end, we were happy our photos were not lost and we were at least reimbursed for our actual costs (legal fee and new photographer) but were not compensated for the heartache/​headache/​wasted time involved.

Communication: Poor 1 out of 5.
He had some personal issues, which I understand. But communication was great before we paid our deposit and afterwards it was shocking how many times we reached out to try and schedule engagement photo shoot and have answers/​schedule addressed
Day Of: 3.5−4÷5
He gave a little too much attention to guests while my wife/​bride and her friends tried to get some photos of them. He took multiple photos of a large group shot of all our guests (birds eye view) to «stitch» but I was told by the photographer I hired to finish the work that it was not done properly and his attempt of trying to make a large panoramic photo was unsuccessful given the files/​photos provided

The moment I spotted Kacy’s work on the web, I knew he was it! He photographed our wedding in NYC and all of the pictures were beyond gorgeous. He is professional and just a really great person all around. Highly recommended!

Kacy photographed our wedding over 4 days, he went above and beyond to ensure our wedding photographs were nothing short of exceptional.
We talked about what we wanted before the wedding and Kacy nailed it exactly as we hoped. There were moments when I thought «ah, I wish I’d got a photo of that» only to find Kacy had got it, he has the amazing ability of subtly being in the right place at the right time.
We are absolutely delighted with the results and we have since used him on other occasions and projects.
Kacy is professional, easy going, fun and easy to communicate with.
We highly recommend Kacy for any occasion!
