There are many reasons to visit Green Design. Baby shower? Go here. Environmentally-​friendly friend’s birthday? Shop till you drop. And sometimes you need to go just because you want a mini stuffed tiger for yourself. Its important.
Other than being a perfectly curated store, every time I have come here I have been greeted with a smile and a friendly demeanor. Don’t be silly, come shop here! Thank you!

I’m glad this store exists in Princeton, but I’m waiting for the day when they have more for the «Over 18 Mo» and «Not Pregnant» sets. I’ll keep checking in to look for more clothes (but not hippie wear), housewares, and fun little gifts.

The idea behind this store is cute — environmentally friendly, organic products. And don’t get me wrong… this store doesn’t appeal to the weird croc-​wearing, hippie enviro-​freak you see frequenting Olive May. No. It leans more towards chic, trendy Whole Foods shoppers who enjoy spending a buck here and there. And speaking of spending — this store is loads expensive. I mean LOADS… like woah. I walk in and I see a «wish box» contraption on sale for 40 $. You know what it is? A cardboard box with holes so you can stick in little scrolls of paper that are supposed to have your wishes written on them. Right. Nahh I’ll pass.

What an adorable and peaceful store!
I stopped in after lunch and was impressed by their baby/​toddler/​mom care items – at least 3 types of belly oils! Tiny handmade shearling slippers ($ 40), batik toddler dresses, the full line of Kleen Kanteen, Dr. Seuss’ «The Lorax», and Sophie plus her squeaky white mushroom like counterpart. A wide selection of home made soaps for body and hair too (solid rosemary mint shampoo $ 4).
Also french blocks depicting Little Red Riding Hood.
I disagree that it’s the only place to shop in town with a conscience – there’s another Earth Friendly shop near the parking lot, plus one more in the Princeton Shopping mall, but this one is more peaceful and thankfully does NOT smell like sandlewood incense.
We will definitely be back!

Great store, very nice qualtiy products and reasonable prices. The folks that run and work at this store are delightful and have gone out of there way to answer questions. I spent a decent amount on Chistmas gifts here, which everyone really enjoyed!
Shop here, talk with the proprietors, and enjoy the wonderful enviromentally friendly products! I wish them much success in Princeton!

Great shop, and a great shopping experience. Went to check out the SaavyRest latex mattresses. Tim (owner) was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the product line. He took time to answer all our questions, and reconfigured the mattress layers several times for the perfect firmness. Even after the purchase, he followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied. Thanks!

I returned to my hometown in the Princeton area from San Francisco for the holidays and discovered this new store in downtown Princeton. I’d classify this store as a eco-​concious lifestyle store. They sell all sorts of great stuff from sustainable housewares, clothing/​sheets made from organic materials, and furniture made from bamboo and reclaimed wood. Lots of little knick knacks too that are fun to look at and possibly take home.
I had a nice chat with the owner, Tim, who’s a great guy and I think he’s is doing a great service bringing awareness of an eco-​concious lifestyle to central Jersey. I wish him the best of luck with the store, and everyone reading this review should stop by!
