Great value, peaceful and relaxing, laid back atmosphere, never busy since it is so remote, making it a perfect course for newbies or some two ball practice. My wife is still learning and won’t play anywhere else. It’s well kept. Front 9 is very flat, classic style with wide, tree lined fairways, medium sized greens with some undulation but nothing too crazy. Standout holes are #6 and #9, both fun par 3s over water. Back 9 is a little more challenging, modern style, open and treeless, with more sand and larger greens. They host a lot of local scrambles here throughout the season. Staff is friendly. Clubhouse is old and doesn’t have many amenities, no cooking onsite. Bathrooms are small but pretty clean. Equipment pricing is higher than the average clubhouse. Preston is my getaway course, away from the hustle and bustle. Relax, breath in the fresh air, take it all in, admire the greenery and hit a few balls with my family. This is as good as it gets.
