I have been to this Rodeo several times over the years. If you are 21 to 49 this will be one of the best weekends of your life, even if you don’t drink.(There are plenty others to watch getting crazy.) Between the Rodeo itself and the Whiskey row you will have a fun time especially if you are single, but it is still a fun time with a date or significant other especially if you like to dance. Great place to meet someone and I don’t mean Hook-up. If you are older or younger than the ages listed above you will still have a good time at an old fashioned community event like the Prescott Rodeo!

My parents drove up from Phoenix for the rodeo, they have never been. They are 84 and 81, well needless to say the worlds oldest rodeo is NOT setup for the elderly! They had one golf cart for pickup in the parking lot, I saw only four handicapped parking areas(not sure how OSHA lets them get away with that) and the grounds themselves are in a shamble of unsafe seating, parking and concrete. The buildings are not up to code where they need to be, and I have a hard time with the rodeo sold out and parking at $ 5.00 per vehicle, that they are not making just tons of profit that they should use to get the grounds up to code. Someone was even sitting in our Sky Box four seats and would not move, and no one of the rodeo would move them, so we left! The $ 100.00 was gone, that is the saddest part that my parents could not even see the rodeo! It’s funny how everyone stands and claps when they talk about our vets(my dad did two tours in the airforce) but could not even watch a rodeo on the 4th of July weekend. I hope the four people that lied about their seats and would not move, is that I call you(white trash) and at the end it will all come back to you ten fold. If you are planning to attened with young kids or can walk long distances, you will have a blast. The Rodeo cowboys and cowgirls were great, not many rode the 8 seconds that day! But that’s rodeo… They do have fun things to do and plenty of choices of refreshments, beer and food and that’s great

Brought our young grandsons up. We all had a blast. The boys rode the mechanical bull, as well as the ponies. We all loved the rodeo and will be back for the 2014 rodeo.

Apparently this IS ‘The World’s Oldest Rodeo’. It’s over 100! However, the Owner, city and community ought to come together to show PRIDE in this historical place. It needs a lot of immediate TLC, uplifting cosmetically and structurally. Its sad to see the run down, damaged concrete throughout this place. Another ODD thing was their internet server was trying to tap into cell phones and kept requesting you to join for $ 10, I couldn’t get rid of the request and had to ultimately turn off my mobile app, myself along with others in attendance of an event had experienced this. NOT cool.
