Prescott Winery is a hidden gem in Prescott’s historic mining town, located about ten minutes away via walking-distance from the downtown Prescott area. I’m genuinely surprised that I haven’t come across more reviews about this place, and I’m glad I found it through Unilocal and can rave about this place to everyone! My boyfriend and I came on Valentine’s Day after a long day walking around Watson Lake and the Heritage Park Zoo.(I couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind because we tried going to Superstition Meadery the day before, and we were ignored for ten minutes and decided to leave.) Prescott Winery was not at all pretentious(like Meadery), and if anything, the whole service and shop was warm, cozy, and inviting. The space was very well decorated in a minimalist way with a modern, rustic touch. Since we were the only patrons that afternoon, we had the owner’s full attention. We had great tastings and were provided free snacks(crackers and chocolate) along with our wine. The owner went out of her way to accommodate my boyfriend when he had asked for the local wifi password. To top things off, she gave us a free glass when we had asked to purchase one. I hope to hear that the owners continue to hone in on their growing vineyards, and if I’m ever back, I would love to taste their wines in the future.

Saw the opening promotion and wandered in last weekend. Lovely little venue in an historic house! Was treated very well and after doing a tasting, purchased a bottle(a Cab blend, I think?). Not a wine snob, but thought it was very good for the price point. Give Prescott’s only winery a try!
