Very nice restaurant serving comfort food!(There is one caveat, however. The link to their menu goes to a restaurant with the same name in Butte, Montana.)The hamburger was delicious. The onion rings and liver and onions not as good. The ham and bean soup was plentiful and chock full of ham– just wonderful!

Honestly cant think of a bad thing about this place. Super friendly staff, felt like one big team that helped each other. Had a different lady offer to refill my pop each time and also was asked multiple times by different people how i was doing and how the food was. Was nice having 2TV’s available with sports on to help pass time away while waiting for the food, yet the wait wasnt really that long at all. I ordered the turkey dinner and was a little worried at first when my waiter was surprised i ordered that and said i was the second person today to order that. I read other reviews here saying this place does not skimp on portions and that saying held true when she came out with my plate… Had a crap load of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and stuffing on the plate. Food was delicious and i couldnt finish it all, which is rare for me… great deal for $ 9.99. Overall im happy with this visit, if i had one thing to gripe about, and its not a big deal at all, would be the choice of music they have playing in the place. They had pop music going overhead and it just didnt go with the vibe of the place… eating turkey dinner with justin bieber playing above me just was weird :)

Just passing through town and thought we’d give this place a try. The restaurant is big and very clean. Only one server around 3pm but very good service. I ordered the meatloaf dinner which was a very large portion. It was good. Had a lot of filler in it. They could have left out some filler and served a smaller portion. I only ate about 2⁄3 of the meal and I was full. Wife had beef liver & onions. Again a really large portion. It was good. She left about ½. We would go back & probably try the chicken fried steak and/or the fried chicken.

My husband and I stopped for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon after traveling from AZ to KC. Even though it was late in the afternoon the food was fresh and hot, the portions HUGE and wonderfully delicious! I ordered the chicken fried steak which was the size of the plate — best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered a salad with grilled chicken, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, blue cheese crumbles and a raspberry vinaigrette — He was very happy as well. The service was outstanding and quick. My only complaint — too full to try the pie! Next time we travel through Pratt we will stop again.(Submitted by Vickie M.)

Just stopping for the night and looking for some thing other than fast food. We sat without a server for several minutes. And it’s not because we were not seen nor was it a busy time of day. Service was slow but the food more than made up for it. I definitely recommend the fried chicken. Portions and price were very reasonable.

We flew in to the Pratt airport to get some fuel, and decided to grab some lunch since the airport had a courtesy car. The guy running the FBO pointed us here and we made the few-mile trek to town. Hubby had some of the best chicken fried steak he has had in a long time. Way too much for him to finish, as he had to fight to keep all of it on the plate most of the time. I got a wrap that was exactly what I was hoping for. Service was just fine, and the locals hanging out at the counter were all cordial when we passed by. Combined with the service we had at the airport, this is an obvious option for us when we’re passing through this side of the country.

We wanted to eat at a nice place on Easter Eve. This place was recommended by the hotel staff. The wait staff was very attentive. We were disappointed in the meal. Our warm dinner roll arrived in a basket with fake butter and honey. My husband grossed out on the fake butter. I opted for the honey. The buns were just«ok». For $ 19.99 I had the ribeye and German potatoes and for $ 16.99 my husband had the Kansas City Strip ordered med. Rare but it arrived rare and cold. It was sent back for a warm up but it came back still rare and it was still barely warm. That was all we got for the meal and I guess we expected at least a Salad or a vegetable. We also thought that since we were in beef country at least the steaks would melt in your mouth. That was not the case. Everything was just«ok». Nothing special to bring us back again. The menu has a lot of other items to choose and a chicken dinner someone else ordered looked appealing to my husband so to be fair, we may try other items, salads or burgers or the special dinners, but not the steaks.

Head to the Uptown Café & Grill in Pratt, Kansas for a bit of local flair. They know food. They how to feed you. You won’t go away hungry as portions are very large. One even has the option to get half-orders. I had the country home-style fried chicken meal and it was delectable and very hearty! Half a chicken yo! The Sunday brunch was ‘all you can eat’ and I expected to pay $ 20. I was flabbergasted to find it only cost $ 9.99! It had delicious roast, fried shrimp and catfish, crablegs, delicious salad assortment, desserts, mashed potatoes and gravy and more. The menu is extensive and has anything from burgers to sandwiches to Southwest flavors to scrumptious desserts to entrees to seafood to salads to appetizers. Plus they have a children’s menu. If in Pratt, it will do you well to go Up Town. You’ll be glad you did.

We have eaten here several times because we have a relative in Pratt. The Sunday brunch is really terrible. The food off the menu at other times is not good, but better. Going somewhere else is a good idea.

We stopped at this restaurant while storm chasing. They were offering a lunch buffet, and they had wifi, so it was a perfect place for us for us to linger over some food. The buffet had a ton of items, including the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Some other items were a tomato casserole, mashed potatoes, various vegetables… everything was quite good, and the waitress who brought us our drinks was very friendly. They had sweet potato pie for desset which was tasty. I can’t vouch for their other meals, but the buffet is worth checking out!
