Vittoria Ristorante & Bar

This is my first review. I usually read reviews and not post, but I simply had to given the terrible experience I had at Vittoria tonight. Before I begin, I want to be clear, our waiter was first rate, professional and thoughtful. The owner’s daughter, who seated us on the other hand, was arrogant, stuck up and didn’t bother to even listen the request I made as she sat us. I would really like to say what I thought of her. but I’m certain this review would be deleted. I would make a suggestion to «Vittoria». Train your daughter. For the way she handled us, proves she has ZERO business in the front of the house.
Now onto the food. Our appetizer, the Short Rib Ragu with Pappardelle was delicious. Zero complaints. Our entrees on the other hand were so below par, I would have rather paid money for frozen TV dinners.
My wife ordered the Scallops with Risotto. Over cooked scallops with gummy, gloopy and cold risotto? I’m Italian, my wife is Italian and if my mother (God rest her soul) would have tasted that crap, she would have spit it in their face. It was sacrilege! I swear they scooped it with an ice cream scoop and plopped it on the plate. No «al dente» centers to the rice, just moosh. Let alone it sat there on the plate like so kind of golf ball. Risotto is supposed to spread and is creamy. Hers could have been used for wallpaper adhesive. The Scallops were burnt, not seared and rubbery with zero seasoning.
My dish was their «famous» Ravioli. Famous for what? The filling was alien to me. A mix of spinach and ??? The marinara was very tasty though. But the pasta was way too thick and gummy. It needed another 30 seconds in the water to fully cook.
Overall, I would say that if you’re looking for great Italian food in Powell. ummm. You’re not going to find it at Vittoria. They can’t do the basics and THAT is blasphemy to this Italian family.

Fabulous! The ambience and the food are wonderful. Fresh pastas, excellent cuts of meat, and delicious seafood.
We have been to Vittoria’s on and off over the past few years and have rarely been disappointed. Recently we went here with a group of friends to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and I can’t tell you how wonderful the experience was.
They seated us a in a semi private room and the servers were extremely attentive and friendly! The ambience of the room like the rest of the restaurant is warm and inviting, reminiscent of a stately home. The waiters were especially patient with us as we went through several wine options! And the food on this particular visit was divine — the best we’ve had.
Vittorio the chef and manager I think (not to be confused with Vittoria the restaurant) is a delight and his visit to our table only enhanced the experience. He was even so kind as to put a few desserts in the house in honor of my daughter’s birthday.
The wines were fantastic as were the cocktails. For appetizers we ordered three plates of the giant shrimp appetizer special — fantastic! The one regret was that they had only two to a plate. The short rib appetizer special on the other hand was plentiful and delicious as well. And the oysters were incredibly fresh.
For the main meal, I got the Ossu bucco over risotto! Mouthwatering, and falling off the bone good. Really delicious. My wife got the veal piccata which was very good as well. My son was happy with his chicken Parmesan and my daughter with her pasta in clam sauce. The home made pastas really enhance the flavor and texture.
For desserts we had the bread pudding, the Cannoli’s and the tiramisu. While the cannoli did not quite compare to one’s in southern Italy, they were all very good, and the tiramisu was especially outstanding. There was a dessert drink that I can’t quite remember now (it was like a creamy limoncello) but it was soooo good. I highly recommend it.

Perfection. So glad Vitorio has revitalized this Powell favorite! Everything here is great and the service can’t be beat.

5 star service. 5 star atmosphere. 5 star food. 5 star wine. The chicken piccata is to die for!!! The lemon butter sauce is amazing!!! One of the best Italian restaurants in Columbus!!!

Three and half stars.
Upscale atmosphere, food is decent and good service. You go there to enjoy the atmosphere and drinks.
A good option in Powell.
Would we go back? We would consider it but it wouldn’t be our first option.

My book club group met here for a Christmas celebration last night. Everything was outstanding. We had reserved a small room and the table setting and decoration was beautiful. Cody was our main server for our group and he provided some of the best service I’ve ever had. He was gracious, attentive, and his timing was perfection. Several women had the special and said it was delicious. I appreciated that Vittoria’s offers a gluten free gnocchi… I asked for it to be served with a little olive oil and it was fabulous. The restaurant was very busy but our food was prompt, wine was flowing, and the evening was so much fun. I will definitely be back.

Vittoria Ristorante & Bar deserves five stars across the board and I only came in here for appetizers and drinks. Came in here on a Saturday night a little after seven and sat at the larger table in the bar as most of the bar tables are set for two people and we had a party of three. We had a few round of drinks; Manhattan with Makers, Makers-​rocks, house Pinot Noir, and a local (Hoppin’ Frog) IPA. For appetizers we ordered the Hummus Trio, the Meatballs (not on the menu and comes with three), the Bruschetta, and the Wedding Soup. We all enjoyed the appetizers. I especially liked the Meatballs and the Hummus Trio. Both were well prepared and well seasoned. It’s important to note that they do have some additional items that are not on the menu, including the meatballs and meat and veggie flatbread pizzas. Our bartender/​server was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, and even added some enjoyment to our evening. Some people do not like interactive bartenders, but I thought she did a wonderful job! I definitely recommend the bar here and I hope to come back for a full dinner soon!

The food, the employees and the atmosphere are all exceptional here. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants and I have no doubt will continue to be!

Excellent service! And the food was amazing! I ordered the filet and my steak was cooked perfectly. Danielle our server was great. Such a bubbly personality which mad she experience even more pleasant. She continually organized our table and cleaned crumbs off the table. Prepping us for the next course. I’m only visiting from California and I was super impressed. The live music was exceptional. I can’t wait to come back here! I really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a romantic night with even better food and drinks.

Great food and really cool atmosphere. 2 indoor fireplaces in the main dining room made it very cozy. The owner was active to greet me (I made a reservation though solo) and even bussed my table mid-​service in a way that made me feel like an honored guest! Will definitely return with my hubby! Would have given 5 stars if they had booths. (I like tasteful cozy booths)

Always have had a good experience. Classic Italian food that makes my dad say «this was just like what Aunt so and so used to make». Classy servers. Maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Been going here since its opening. The décor and atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is very professional and a pleasure. The management is top notch. Vitori is awesome! His caring and kindness along with his songs while running things are tone setting for a wonderful dining experience. Now the food, I’ve tried many entrees. The scallops are mouth watering. The salmon is divine. The gnocchi is out of this world. The pastas are homemade and simply beautiful! The steaks are exquisite, robust and perfectly prepared! Everything is delicious! Moderately priced but worth every penny. Great wine selections to go with every meal.

We have re-​visited this restaurant numerous times. The ambience is dramatic and the food and service are always top notch. I recommend it!

I was impressed upon entering this establishment. A bar is off to the left of the entrance and is separated from the dining area. I felt very comfortable once I passed through to the dining area. A vaulted ceiling, a fireplace on either end, wood floors, and luxurious furnishings all added up to a ritzy dining experience.
The service was excellent. Our waiter made sure we had plenty of everything and was prompt.
Then there was the food. The house salad with vinegrette was fine. For my meal, I ordered a NY strip, medium, but it was a tad overdone; i.e., dry. It was good, but not great. I expect great for $ 29. I subbed au gratin potatoes for risotto and it was good. The broccoli was good. I tried a bite of the pork chop, and it was dry. For dessert, I ordered coffee and cheesecake. The coffee was perhaps the strongest coffee I’ve had in my life and I drink coffee every day. It was much stronger than a Starbucks bold. It tasted like they brewed a pot of coffee and then strained off as much water as possible before serving it. The cheesecake was a baked NY style, but… it was dry and too small. It was about half the size that I would expect for a $ 7 dessert. It was served with fresh berries and virtually no sauce, which made for a very dry dessert. I tried a bite of the chocolate cake and that was dry too.
All in all, this restaurant is okay, but not great. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, you can do better.

This restaurant is consistently good each and every time we visit. It is a special treat each and every time we go. It was enjoyable that the waitress remembered that I love to take a dessert, cannoli, home to enjoy with my coffee the next morning. She let me know when taking our dinner order that the cannoli were well prepared today. Nice touch!

Vittoria, and Vittorio, delivered again! I took my daughters out for a special dinner before our daddy daughter dance, and we had a great time with excellent food and terrific service. Truly, if you want to celebrate a special night out, and feel truly cared for while eating exceptional food, come to Vittoria. Molto bene!

First rate — only in our budget for a special treat but always worth the money.
Friday night cioppino is something I look forward too each visit.
I feel pampered and unrushed here. One of our favorite places.

This place is becoming a new Monday favorite for a very good friend and me. The food is fantastic and we enjoy the lovely man who plays the saxophone. Both times we’ve sat in the bar area and although a pleasant bartender, I really don’t appreciate being told where to put what I’m eating or drinking on my table. Overall I find it to be a very nice place.

Love to sit at the bar and have dinner. Take out is great. Prices are reasonable, wine list is acceptable. Lots of older single and couple. Good live music in bar during week. Food quality is good.

Vittorio, the maitre’d, is a gentleman and a scholar. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was top notch!
Make sure you save some room for the delicious bread. I would also recommend asking for some of their reduced balsamic vinegar to poor into the spiced oil they provide for dipping the bread.
We had trouble getting a reservation on a Saturday afternoon for that Saturday evening, so if you have a larger party, I would recommend getting a reservation the day before or earlier.
I recommend it highly!
