Nice take out, good Lo Mien, chicken fingers were a big hit with the kids, I took note of a previous review that said the shrimp is good here, and the shrimp fried rice was tasty. I tried the Beef Pat Thai, gotta steer you clear of that noodle dish, I don’t know if it’s trying to taste like kim chi, but I had to pass on it.

I have to admit I am always skeptical about Chinese food especially takeout. I was pleasantly surprised here. Food was very good, especially the broccoli in garlic sauce! We haven’t had this since we lived in the northeast, that was nearly as good as this. Obviously it’s more of a take out place not a fancy sit down place, but there is an area inside to sit. Staff was friendly, food was prepared pretty quickly and the price is very reasonable.

On the quality of the food, I would give them 4 – 5 stars. This is the only Chinese place that I’ve been to in the Dublin/Powell area that uses good shrimp. Usually, the shrimp at local Chinese restaurants has that slightly-bleachy, farm-raised taste, even at higher-end«Asian fusian» places. But Beijing’s shrimp is delicious! They also use nice vegetables, and lots of them. However, the atmosphere and service make this place appropriate for take-out only. As for«authenticity,» I think it’s pointless to for a white girl in Ohio to try to judge a Chinese restaurant’s authenticity, so I won’t try.

I enjoy Beijing for Americanized Chinese fare. My favorites are the hot and sour soup(I see it’s a hit with other Unilocalers, too), the Garlic Flavor Combination(the sauce is very good) and the steamed dumplings. Plentiful portions at the right price keep me coming back.

I came here for the first time today and could not be more disappointed. I got the House Special Chow Fun. While admittedly, I did mean to get the Mei Fun, I decided to try it. The only thing that was different was the noodles. Never again will I go there. The shrimp and the noodles were VERY overcooked. As soon as it hit my tongue, it disintegrated. I called to let them know what was wrong and she said it was supposed to be soft. Since I’ve never had this particular noodle, I said I would give that a pass, but the shrimp, there was no excuse for that. She tried to tell me because the shrimp is fresh, that’s why it as so soft. I was trying to explain that shrimp is supposed to be firm, but she would not listen. I asked if they could remake it, and she said no because that is just what they do. I refuse to pay $ 8.95 for mush. I got my refund and will never be back there again.

Always consistent. This place is my go to for quick quality Chinese food in Powell. The hot and sour soup is to die for! The house special rice is also a family favorite. If you’re in Powell craving Chinese… This is your spot!

This is my go to place for chinese carry out. The food is not 5 star but it’s solid every time. Lots of food, inexpensive, ready in 10 minutes. Great place.

I agree with the consensus on Unilocal about Beijing. It’s good for quick Chinese take out, but in no way the best Chinese food in or about Columbus. Let’s face it, Powell… We lack REALLY good American Chinese restaurants… Most within the area are very dismal and extremely mediocre.(Except Lin’s Wok across town. Absolutely Amazing!) Most places north of Sawmill will have you asking, «Why didn’t I just grab one of those crappy TaiPei meals in the frozen food section?» Beijing is a minor exception to my thoughts above. Their Americanized chicken dishes are usually pretty good. The Lo Mien was slightly on the dry side, but again… not terribly bad. If they had put more care into ingredients and a nice oil to cook in. it would have had me keeling over with delight like I do at Peacock west or Eastern Wok, but … eh… it’s not quite there. The lunch combos are pretty great and spot on for the $$. Should you be in the mood for some quick Chinese take out… this is your destination. I don’t recommend coming here to have your taste-buds treated to culinary perfection, BUT it certainly will hit the spot granted you are hungry. 3.5 leaning towards 4

Beijing is one of the oldest Chinese Restaurants in the area, and it has a lot more competition now that several others have opened(China Bistro, New China Express*which only I have reviewed :(*, Kogens… ugh and Golden China in the immediate vicinity– Lin’s Wok been down on N Liberty for a while). What I would have to say is that its what you would expect out of a Chinese take out place. There’s nothing really special going on and their menu I can say I’ve seen in exact formatting in like three other restaurants across central Ohio. You won’t spend much and you’ll get a lot of food, but I wouldn’t expect much quality.

Good strip mall Chinese food. Hot & fresh. Good crisp vegetables, not overcooked. Love their noodles.

Honestly, one of the worst Asian restaurants I have ever visited. Wow. I ordered the Happy Family, and every type of meat/fish was like rubber. The proteins are obviously very low quality. The egg rolls were full of mystery meat, too. The whole container is going in the trash. I just hope I don’t get sick. :(

Strip Center hole in the wall in Powell. Live a mile a way and this place never showed up in Chinese search. Drove by and did not recognize the name. There are about 12 tables and they were all filled at dinner with people waiting for their carry-out. There were 4 people cranking out food. Ordered chicken egg foo young that was prepared by hand and wok fried to perfection. The sauce was not that pasty gooey stuff full of cornstarch. This sauce was very good! The moo shu pork also very good. Ordered Schezwan shrimp and chicken extra hot. Came with 8 very large shrimp and lots of chicken sub broccoli instead of green pepper. The bag weighed about 10lbs and cost $ 25.00. For what this place is I’ll give it a five. Best within 8 miles… I tried them all!

It’s a bit of a hole in the wall in a strip mall but it’s cheap, it’s fast, and it serves up what you want — especially if you’ve been sick and all you want is some hot soup. The crab rangoon is a bit too greasy for me though but the fried rice is very good and I like the hot and sour soup the best. Hubs is all about the wonton soup. Often I see a lot of workers in there for lunch who want a quick cheap eat.

It’s a very inexpensive Chinese restaurant that serves dishes of the same quality as any good $ 5-$ 7 per meal Chinese carry-out you’ve ever gone to. You order, you pickup, you leave, all in 10 minutes. Order«Extra-Spicy» if you like it hot, otherwise the spicy dishes are only slightly hot. It’s a regular lunch choice for my office. Better than a fast-food combo meal by leaps and bounds, and probably cheaper.
