1st Response Pest Management

1^st Response is every homeowner’s dream: a company that is responsive, reliable, and really knows its business! We needed action taken against our indoor ant infestation right away, as they were invading the living area of a severely handicapped family member. 1^st Response came out post-​haste, and thoroughly treated inside and out. Because we don’t live in a bubble, we’ve had outdoor insect issues too, but if I get «antsy» (ha) about seeing some around the deck or other areas, I can count on 1^st Response to honor their commitment to eradicating the problem. The technicians explain what they are doing and using, what to expect, and how long it will take. Jay or Lisa always call to follow up, making sure the problem has been addressed. I wish every company I dealt with was as knowledgeable, conscientious, and ethical as 1^st Response! The protection plan is reasonable and one certainly gets one’s money’s worth. Kudos to this superb company!

Jay put the 1^st in 1^st Response when he identified that we had hard-​wood termites after multiple other pest control companies told me I had an ant problem. Hard-​wood termites are rare in Ohio, but he went the extra mile to research what we had and was able to come out and treat the problem the very next day. He is one of the only people in central Ohio that I would trust with this situation. I only wish I had called 1^st Response FIRST!

Jay and his crew have sprayed our shop for over 3 years now. They spray inside and out. Since they have started I have never even seen one bug or spider.
They are a very honest and trustworthy company !!! They also do my residence and my brothers.

1^st response Pest Management did a wonderful job in addressing my issue (came out within 24 hours) with wasps and other insects that got into the house. After my experience and results since their visit, I think that everyone should invest in the protection of their home and family. Their protection plans were extremely reasonable and I have yet to have an issue since implementing it.

We used first response after we ordered a headboard online and discovered it came with bed bugs. Everyone at first response was so helpful, especially at helping us schedule and in explaining the process of the heat treatment. There seem to be very few companies that use heat to kill bed bugs an this was important to us so that we didn’t have to have someone come in multiple times an use pesticides all over our place. First response was pretty busy when we originally called, but we told them how desperate we were to get someone in quickly and they were able to get us in a day that someone else cancelled just a few days later.
The actual heat treatment went very smooth as well. They showed up early in the day and I left for a few hours and came back to a bed bug free home. So many other places said they would have to come back multiple times, but with the heat treatment it was over in one day. We did have to spend a lot of time preparing and removing any items that could be damaged, but it was so worth it. Jay was very helpful and even called back that day and the next to check on us. We had a great experience with first response and would use them again, but no offense, we hope we never have this issue again:)

Jay came out today to deal with some roaches we started seeing, and he was very friendly and helpful. The process for the first application took about 45 minutes, maybe an hour. They used a bait that is safe for pets and children (which was very important for us), and their process is to come out and reapply 3 weeks after the first application to get any remaining bugs. Additionally, they have a 60-​day agreement, so if the second application doesn’t eliminate every bug, they will do another application free of charge. Hope we don’t have to use that option, but glad to know it is there! Jay also recommended a couple of other options to help keep them out of the house once they are gone and starting all over again… and they don’t just do bugs — they do mice, rats, squirrels, etc. Overall, I was very impressed and can recommend them highly!

Jay from 1^st Response came to check out my house for termite damage after I was worried I saw some termites. Luckily, he didn’t find any so I didn’t need a full inspection, but I was really impressed by his friendliness and helpfulness is talking to me about what kind of treatments might be best for my house in the future. I will definitely use 1^st Response any time I need an exterminator or pest control.
