I probably wouldn’t be writing this review if John hadn’t just called me out of the blue yesterday. Why did he call? To tell me he forgot who I was but saw that my wedding was the upcoming weekend on his calendar (it’s not) and couldn’t find my wedding gown!!!
The whole experience with him was pretty unprofessional and clearly only worsened. So i just want to warn others because there are vey few reviews of him but somehow he was rated best of atlanta?!
For example when we got my fiancés suit the pant legs were ½″ different lengths! John asked my guy why he didn’t say he had one leg shorter than the other (he doesn’t). The pants were so obviously botched it was remarkable that John didn’t take ownership of his mistake. So at this point I was really worried about what my dress would be like.
For my dress fitting it seemed like he barely took in the sides. He did fine on the straps but I asked if it could be tighter and he insisted that I would gain weight before my wedding!!! I insisted back and he sewed it slightly tighter while I waited in his dirty moldy shop. He got a phone call while working on my dress and got into an argument with another customer. Then to my HORROR he resumed sewing my wedding dress while arguing on the phone!!! It still wasn’t snug and he insisted it looked fine. Thank goodness sewing isn’t rocket science and I know how so I could just take it in myself. Thanks to ME it now fits perfectly and looks amazing.
Also. He didn’t give us price estimates ahead of time and then overcharged us with no explanation (which he later fixed).
My fiancé chose him because he was ranked best of Atlanta. He must have a friend who put him up for that because his work was average and professionalism poor. Mistake.
