I shop there just about every weekend and it’s very rare I leave empty handed. It’s my opinion that it depends on what exactly your looking for. I’m always looking for items for my house i.e. Holiday themed stuff, towels and rags and cook books!!! As far as clothing and shoes they rarely have anything. The prices are reasonable, there’s always some kind of sale, and they also do military discounts. I’ve spent $ 6.00 and came out with great stuff and the staff are so helpful!!!

A hit and miss thrift store. If you hit their sales you can save big. Worth a look.

You will find more furniture than vintage clothes here. They have tons of different items and are trying to get more and more organized. Check the jewelry section, some rich ladies in the area who passed away had serious good taste! But I think the best in this store and they should promote it more is that huge collection of vinyls, perfect for those dancing shoes you have hidden in your closet!

I am a frequent shopper at all the Poway thrift stores and I’ve never had a problem with St. Bart’s until today. As I patiently waited at the counter the cashier volunteer was otherwise engaged. When she came to check folks out the other customer politely informed her that I had been waiting longer. As she took my things I tried to break the ice by joking«I can return this for no money back right?» She didn’t let me finish my sentence before she jumped down my throat and nastily said«you can’t return ANYTHING !» «And I work for free so take it up with the manager if you want!». So I said«hey I was raised on Midwestern CORN(& I don’t mean«to eat») ! So she replies«I was born in Italy and raised in Malaysia!» Then she turns away and wouldn’t check me out! So I guess I’ve made enemies of the staff there & am not welcome back!

Lots of fun to stop by and take a look. It’s hit and miss just like any other thrift store, but the staff keeps it clean and the merchandise is on a constant rotation. They seem to have great specials and even though I have yet to ask I have seen people get additional discounts.

I have been shopping at St Bart’s thrift store for 20 yrs. It is always neat, clean & organized. Their book selection is particularly great. I always walk out with something & I have always donated my own things when I have«grown out of them». This place is definitely worth a look, as well as the Presbyterian store & St Vincent de Paul store in the same mall. It’s disappointing to see that there are now more«for profit» thrifts in this mall than charitable ones.

I like coming here as I can usually find a good bargain. The cashiers are pleasant too. This store is not as junky as others-that’s another reason I like it here. It’s certainly worth going into if you’re in the area and have a few minutes.

Hit and miss, but certainly worth a look. I’ve found some really nice clothes, books, toys, and baby items, a few vases, random kitchen gadgets, a trench coat, and of course some of my favorite jewelery has come from here. This store has a ton of furniture, and they usually have a piano or two for sale. Some of the furniture could use a little bit of love, like reupholstering or a good steam cleaning. Other things are in really great shape and look like they are brand new. This location gets an extra star for being a long standing tenant in the thrift store«mall.»

Everytime I come here, I give my daughter one dollar and tell her that she can find whatever she wants as long as it’s under a dollar. She goes straight to the kids book section, which never fails to impress. She walks out of there with anywhere between 3 and 7 books each time! They also have a great selection of furniture. It’s always priced to sell, so if you are looking to put a little elbow grease into some of the pieces, you can get 2 end tables for $ 3 each and sand and repaint and you have got yourself some gems! Love this place!

Friendly staff with a few great deals to boot. I’m not really familiar on how the sales work at these thrift stores but today was green sticker day. Half off everything with a green sticker. St Vincent De Paul had a lot of nice furniture. Better get there early, several items had already been«SOLD» by the time I arrived at noon. I spend most of my time perusing the Children’s books, while most people were feverishly picking though the clothing. I never felt watched like I did at St. Barts a store or two down. A few good finds… — One large unopened two adult Zebra raft = 1.50 — Street Fighter II Look and find — .25 — Spiderman Look and Find — .25

The ladies working in here are not very nice… when i came in they were talking trash about another worker(who wasn’t working that day) then as i was walking around … i saw one of the lady yelled at a little boy for playing with the toys! Someone didn’t have enough hugs growing up. relax! it’s a thrift store. things in here might be old but they’re not«antiques».

This store is actually«St. Michael’s and St. Vincent de Paul’s Thrift» combined. As if one saint wasn’t saintly enough, they had to knock down the walls between the two stores to form a saintly consortium of used goods blessed by Jesus H. Christ himself. The used books section here is great, as they sell paperbacks for 25 cents and hardcovers for 50 cents. If you’re looking for John Grisham books though, you might be out of luck. Our hero’s friend bought half their inventory of Grisham books(pretty much all the good ones). PROS: — 50 cent LP vinyls in pretty good condition, including discs from Barry Manilow. If you don’t have a record player, they have one in the back for $ 10. — In close proximity to about 5 or 6 other thrift shops in the same lot. — Lots of staff who are helpful and friendly. Two open cash registers. CONS: — Not a lot of used men’s threads.
