Tom is great! Everything here is great — price, service — including Tom and carpet installer team. He’s always there to answer questions and being so flexible to your needs.

Excellent service, no gimmick all-​in pricing, and Tom is all about customer service. His installers were very neat and professional. Skip the box box stores and shop locally.

Pricing — the total price of the carpet, pad, moving furniture, installation is calculated into square yard at the time you buy. No hidden added costs later, it’s all there. Tom came in under HALF of what Cole’s QUOTED and Tom’s price was the total price we paid, not a penny more and we didn’t skimp on the carpet or padding, in fact, we went up for the best and I’ve no doubt Coles or Home Depot could have come close.
Customer Service — I went to Tom’s store and told him what I had been looking at and what I wanted and he showed me plenty of wonderful choices. He came to Univ City to bring the samples I had seen in the store and to measure after he closed on a Saturday — I don’t know many people who would leave work to drive 30 mins to measure for an estimate — there was no guarantee, no pressure and no need to put down a $ 50 deposit to bring over a sample. Nope, the owner personally came and delivered the samples and measured our place. We knew we weren’t going to give the business to anyone else after that!
Installation — someone who takes pride in his overall service only looks to find the best installers — and they are AMAZING! Steve led our installation and we are a condo up several flight of stairs. Steve and his apprentice were very easy to talk to, very friendly and always smiling and answering our questions. They came in, took the lay of the land, and immediately started moving furniture out into different rooms. Within 30 minutes of them arriving ON TIME, the carpet was completely removed in half the condo. These two were the two most hardworking gentlemen I’ve seen in a LONG time! There was no stress in our installation, it was a fantastic experience and we had our whole house put back together within 6 hours (and they moved everything back, asked if they could help with anything else and were just wonderful!)
All in all you just can’t beat what Tom Arnold can do for you and your flooring needs at Poway Carpets! He came as a recommendation from a good friend at work (who also raved about his overall experience) and I’m thrilled I asked! Thank you Tom and Steve! We will never look anywhere else!

Excellent service from sales to installation. Completed installation ahead of schedule in spite of rain, which made it more difficult for them to cut the carpet.

Most business I walk into I don’t expect to see a sales rep. for 5 to 10 minutes and I hardly ever get to meet the owner. But this place prides itself on personnel device and customer care. Within the first minute I was greeted buy the owner himself (see photo). very nice guy; he knew every thing about flooring types and applications. It great to know we have the local who cares about you and your personnel preferences.
