Girlfriend’s Consignment Boutique

Awful customer service from the two women that work there. The clothes were nice but priced high. The two women were very rude and not friendly to me at all. I know they were working on closing the store soon to go on-​line. I felt like I was bothering them yet I was trying to have them make a sale. I will never purchase from there again or go on-​line. They have no business being in business and I hope they read this.

this is such a cute little shop. My daughter was having a music lesson and I decided to stop in. Very charming, the ladies are so nice and welcoming. Ended up with a new pair of jeans and a beautiful sweater for $ 20 total!!! I will be coming back for more!

I was killing some time this morning in between gym and grocery shopping and stumbled upon this consignment store that I never heard of before. I found a pair of red boots for around $ 15 that were barely used and totally cool, but unfortunately not my size. However, I did not stop in my search of pretty items.
There are many and extremely well organized and arranged. Is packed, but you don’t feel overwhelmed with things put here and there or the clutter you can see in other consignment boutiques.
There are many inspirational messages about ‘girlfriendhood’ throughout the store (indeed is a place you might want to go with your girlfriend to do some shopping together). There is one full section dedicated to Chico’s brand (catering the +60 segment) very impressive. Also the entrance of the store is very welcoming and the lady working there was pleasant.

Had a great experience here last Saturday. Awesome customer service. I found a few items. Will definitely come back again. I stumbled upon this store just by killing time. My daughter had rehearsals at the nearby elementary school and I went to get a Starbucks while she was there. I noticed how many stores were in the plaza and decided to walk around. I passed by then store and the items in the window looked so cute I went in and found a wonderful place to buy clothes and accessories. :)

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, and I say that 100% meaning it. I have heard (by reading Unilocal comments and word of mouth) that this place bought and sold vintage and designer lightly used items, I was very wrong and the woman behind the counter had NO problem telling me in the most rude and embarrassing way. After waiting for her to gossip with a customer/​friend in line before me, I asked if they bought items as I had a few with me I was looking to sell, she looked at me like I was an idiot and told me I was incorrect in the most demeaning tone. I asked her if there was another place she knew of and she honestly gave me the name of a Salvation Army type thrift store as to degrade me. I can not believe the low level of service I received here. As I walked out, I even heard the woman make a comment berating me to her friend she was gossiping with earlier. They’re items aren’t even of quality. It’s okay, I took my beautiful vintage Chanel bags and Coach wallets elsewhere and I had a way better experience at My Sister’s Closet. I strongly suggest not even walking into Girlfriends, especially you’re young as I am. Worst experience ever and I left feeling honestly degraded.

I went here yesterday for the first time, and WOW!!! It has everything I am looking for. i WISH that I had known about this shop for the past 4 years! I am a mid life woman who likes clothes I can wear with comfort — however I am certainly not fat so I don’t want granny stuff! This shop has the upscale look and upscale clothes of any Del Mar or La Jolla shop. And the owner was so kind to me! Ladies, if you are looking for well made well kept clothes at a very good price, please come here! It is near the I15 on Poway Road.

I love this place because I ALWAYS find something amazing everytime I come in. I have bought so many great evening gowns, suits and casual clothes here not to mention the shoes and bags. The women who own the store are lovely and always a pleasure to see. They will even put your name on a list for when they get in things they know you have requested. I recommend this store to all my coworkers and friends!

I’ve passed by this place many times and finally decided to stop. .. I’m glad I did. This consignment shop has items that run the gamut from vintage to current, for all sizes and walks of life. The shop is well-​organized by size (and the shirts were also organized by color!) and has a nice selection. They carry mostly standard mid-​priced clothing (Banana Republic, INC, J Crew, etc.) but they also had some lower– and higher-​end items. The prices are similar to other consignment shops and I was able to score some 50% off items (yeah me!). They also had some interesting vintage brooches and other items in the glass counter that were appealing.
The women who worked there were polite (not necessarily friendly), but I didn’t mind as I was there to shop, not chat. I will definitely be back and would consider consigning some of my own items.
