Dr. Mark Vierra

Highly recommend going to here if you have any type of skin condition.
My wife had very bad acne problem but dr. Vierra treated it very effectively within very short amount of time.

I saw Dr. Mark Vierra for the first time, and had a great experience. He has a wonderful bedside manner that put me at ease right away. He asked questions, was attentive to my concerns and history, and was extremely thorough in his explanations and recommendations for treatment. I never felt like I was being rushed, and he was extremely prompt. The front desk and his assistant were very friendly and helpful as well. An A+ from me, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing dermatology care!

This is the most caring doctor and office I have ever been to. Dr. Mark is amazing. He prescribes the right on medication for my skin situation and its something I don’t want to live without. However, my medications aren’t covered by my insurance. At first the nurses and staffs in the office help me reach out to my insurance company but unfortunately they still refuses to cover the cost. Without insurance its about $ 700 and I can never afford that.
However, the office people are so nice and caring that they give me so many samples for me to use while they send my prescription to a private pharmacy in order to reduce the cost down. My total come out to be ~$ 100 and I just cannot believe it! Thank you so much Dr. Mark and everyone in the office who does really have a heart to care for their patients! Thank you!

Dr Mark Vierra is a very skilled doctor. My teenage saw him and he took his time to explains things clearly to him and as well as to me. It is hard to find doctors like him. And it took only 2 days to see him whereas other places take forever.

I tend to have a little trepidation about going to the doctor, amplified where it’s for something uncomfortable (for some reason skin issues can be). Rarely have I ever met a doctor so easygoing, professional, straightforward and just nice to deal with. This makes it easy to go in when needed. I wish all docs were like this guy.

Dr. Mark is simply amazing, I’ve been seeing him for over 10 years (and long-​distance for most of that) for acne. To put it simply — though my acne has persisted over the years, it’s been totally held under control by Dr. Mark, and I have no scarring on my sensitive skin. In addition to effective treatment, Dr. Mark is so nice and personable, always with a smile on his face, and answers all of my questions and concerns. There’s a reason I’ve been coming back to Bernardo Dermatology for over 10 years — Dr. Mark!

I found «Mark» as he likes to be called after my son had several minor procedures done at Bernardo Dermatology Medical Group and Dr. Vierra. I don’t recall where the referral originated, but our primary physicians are renown leaders in the San Diego medical community and it likely came from someone in our network there.
I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with Dr. Vierra and the entire staff at BDMG. I went in to have a substantial cyst removed from my back and everything from the consult through the surgery was well above expectations.
One of the most notable things was the follow up which included Dr. Vierra’s home phone number in case there was any complications after hours. I have my physician of 25 years number (which has never been used) but who does that any more? A caring and confident doctor, that’s who.

I’m so difficult with doctors, it takes me forever to find a doctor I feel I can trust. Dr. Mark had me from his first smile.
I followed a recommendation of a coworker to find his practice and was so happy I did! He made me feel totally comfortable, took the time to answer all my questions, and his nurse, Nicole, was fantastic too! Give him a chance you won’t be disappointed.

What’s not to like about «Dr. Mark,» as his staff calls him?
This is a very bright, well-​educated physician who thinks like a scientist. His warm personality and sense of humor always put me at ease no matter how traumatic or embarrassing a problem I present. He explains things clearly and is not hesitant to use a simple, inexpensive treatment when more costly options are available.
Dr. Mark reminds me of the old days, when medicine was about more than doctors pushing pills and covering their backsides with endless tests.

I really like Dr. mark Vierra. He does not rush you when you have many questions to ask. He explains them very clearly and I like his conservative approach so that it is in the intersest of your skin and and does not cause any permanent scars. I had some virus on my skin and it could have been treate two ways: burning them (which could have left scars) or topical lotion (which takes forever to go away, but not scarring). He kept pushing not to freeze or burn them for long term sake. I even said it’s ok, go ahead and get rid of them and he mentioned, it’s my choice but clearly recommended not to. Now that it’s all gone away, I’m so glad he talked me into not doing anything drastic even though he could have made more $ and charged me for the freezing/​burning them. I would really recommend him as a dermatologist to anyone. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and looks out for you in the long run.
