I LOVE this place!!! They have a good selection, and their employees really seem to know their stuff. The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars is because they’re a little bit expensive. But, aside from price, they’re plant nirvana in the Kitsap area!

Great selection of plants, trees and supplies. It even gets better with the employees who really know their stuff but don’t try to pile«extras» on. They even have free classes that you can attend with their master gardeners. I am a huge fan and feel lucky to have such a great store so close to my home!

Decent plant selection but jaw-dropping prices. Their Pinus contorta ‘Chief Joseph’ was over $ 50 more per plant than another nursery, for the same size. They come from the same grower. I didn’t really see anything that I can’t buy cheaper at the other dozen or so nurseries I shop. I did spend $ 150 because I made the trip there, but it’s not really worth the drive for me given the markup.

I got the bouquets/boutonnieres for my wedding here. As I’m out of the area, I can’t speak to the main nursery, so my review is entirely for the wedding side of things. I want to start with my flowers were beautiful – the single stem ones that I received for centerpieces. Note the word received, because the specific flowers I actual ordered were not what I received. My bouquets were also beautiful, kind of. Most of the flowers hadn’t actually bloomed yet, and the ones that had had already started to wilt long before I ever saw them. Same with the boutonnieres. My father’s and my husband’s boutonnieres had already wilted entirely before the ceremony started. I was under the impression that I had chosen hearty flowers. I had not been told otherwise. I hadn’t even been able to get confirmation that the flowers that I had ordered would or would not be available(spoiler? they weren’t. I had my back up flower, which was fine, but the subject was ignored when I did ask). I chalk all of this up to the delivery time being moved for what was more convenient for the woman I worked with, with no regard to what time was convenient for me or what time I actually needed everything for. So everything was delivered 2 hours before the agreed upon time, which was 5 hours before they were needed, which there was no arranging for on my end. The time was reworked on her end at least twice, and she couldn’t even remember what time she’d told me at the last phone call. So, I’m assuming everything was beautiful and what I ordered. Unfortunately, it was all wilted hours before my wedding even started.

Wow, where to begin. First impressions: Creative, experienced, mindful, artistic and reliable. My husband and I got married during Veteran’s Day weekend 2014 with a fall themed wedding. Kathy from Valley Nursery promptly made a weekend appointment with us on a relatively shorter notice. She immediately went to work with ideas and thoughts filling in our random décor concept designs. She also answered all questions we had about other vendors, local businesses, and transportation of supplies. She was very informative and precise. She was extremely workable with our budget and adopted our ideas and concepts and made them absolutely gorgeous. We left our consultation feeling extremely comfortable with her controlling our decorations. During the preparation Kathy worked with us renting décor supplies rather than purchasing to save money in addition to picking her own items from the ground. She was on multiple occasions workable with our budget and adjusted her designs based on what we could afford. But you would never have known, because she still made the best decorations and arrangements. On our wedding day Kathy was early to the venues and her and her assistant immediately went to work. Despite a small hiccup from other vendors not arriving earlier in the day, Kathy calmly adjusted and made things work. She was extremely attentive to all of our needs and beautifully carried out her designs. Gorgeous rose pedals, fall leaves, berries, and lanterns lined the aisles of the church and topped the guests tables. The boutonnieres and bouquets were our exact colors and flowed perfectly with the attire. Kathy cleaned all of the decorations up at both venues and was a reassuring piece to the bigger picture. Kathy at Valley Nursery is worth every penny and is a must have to share the experience with. Due to Kathy, our wedding ended up being one of the greatest I and our guests have ever seen. Definitely consider this professional for your special day or other large events.

I’m a regular customer here. It’s a big garden center and is generally quite busy. They carry a good selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, some water & exotics, veggie starts, pots, containers and some typical & some unique garden art. We purchased three large arborvitae, shrubs, annuals, veg starts and perennials. I’ve also gotten multiple tools, organic fertilizer and seeds here too. Most people are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Prices are reasonable, plants are well grown and transfer to ground, container or bed without problem. Parking is ok but it gets busy quickly.

Best nursery in the area. Great selection, staff always available and helpful. All my plants I’ve purchased from here over the years are healthy and going strong — never had any issues. It’s a fun place to visit anytime of year!

For a large nursery(versus small specialty plant grower), Valley is probably the best on the Kitsap Peninsula and one of the best in Western WA. They try to carry a wide selection of not just plants, but also of garden supplies, including many organic choices, which some of the other large local nurseries do not. I have been a customer for over 25 years, and during that time, we’ve had our ups and downs, but overall, they do a very good job in selection, customer service, and caring well for their plant stock. Their prices are high compared to the Big Box stores, but average, as large nurseries go. For the quality received for dollar paid, they are the best value of the west sound area. Having worked in the business, I know how hard it is to hit the mark on every level of people’s expectations. They may make an occasional mistake, but I think they hit the high mark at least 98% of the time. The person that wrote the message about them being a wedding florist, is very confusing to me, since they sell plants and garden supplies. Garden nurseries are not the same as florists and people that are trying to use them as one probably have the wrong idea of what to expect.

My wife is a Master Gardener and this is her nursery of choice. Its less pretentious than Clear Creek Nursery and has as good a selection as any nursery in the area. The staff is always super pleasant and very helpful.
