Sonic Drive-In

Delicious fresh burger, awesome onion rings and great shake in under 4 minutes! Staff is wonderful, store is clean and location is convenient. Best fast food i’ve had in years!

25 min in the drive thru, the burger was cold, the tots were cold, the mozzarella sticks were cold, didn’t ask if we wanted ketchup, so no ketchup and there were no napkins.

We didn’t have any of the bad experiences others reported. Drove right into an empty bay, ordered, meal out in expected (fast) time, food hot and fresh, employee nice and courteous. Three stars for being exactly what we expect from a Sonic, even with a different site layout. We’ll stop again in the future.

I am still sitting her in line. I finally got to order. The baby was asleep so thought the drive through for one lousy shake would be nice. Now they took so long the baby is crying. I feel like screaming the service is so ridiculously slow! NEVER AGAIN!!!

This place was a bad experience from
finish. Took my granddaughter there. We were excited to finally get to try this place after all the hype. After placing my order No recept given (it comes with the food), we saw waited 35 minutes for a tiny cup of cold burned fries, rock hard cold chicken nuggets, and a so so burger. We ate in the lobby. Nobody had to come to us. Unedible food. So bad I stormed out and will never go there agsin. A 17.00 lesson

Prices are decent and they have one of the largest varieties of frozen desserts. That being said they are often extremely slow which is why I gave a 2.

First, the service was 45 minutes waiting time. Then, 2 hamburgers and fries. WORST ever! Horrible, fries were cold too.
Huge disappointment! Waste of time and money! Wouldn’t recommend it!

If I could give this place no stars I would. Ordered my food and waited for over 45 mins only to see people that had ordered after me getting their food. I went and asked about my food and was given nothing but excuses. I demanded a refund and the cashier didn’t know how to give them and got the manager. I had to wait an additional 10 mins for him to work on my refund. I asked him why the entire waiting area had gotten their food and not me. All I got was more excuses. He said they could retake the order and I told him that I was not going to wait another 45 mins for my food. Finally got my refund. Will never go back!!!

This is probably the worst Sonic I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot.
They first didn’t have Onion Rings, not too big of a deal but frustrating. I ordered fries instead and got some Ched’r Peppers too. Good comes out and they say it’ll be a while and ask if I want to wait for the Peppers or order something else, I decide to wait. Some time passes and they come back out and tell me they actually don’t have any Ched’r peppers either. I had already paid so they had to refund the entire purchase and run the card again. Our food comes out and they forgot my fries, if I’d used the drive thru would been stuck without em. They brought me some out. My wife’s burger had mustard after we specifically asked for ketchup and mayo, she sucked it up and ate it with mustard.
In summary, this sonic is terrible when it comes to getting your order right, they don’t have things on their menu and sell them anyway., there only saving grace is they are very courteous and apologetic. The slushed were great as always. I prolly will not come back and would net recommend it to a friend.
However if your ever in the south, definitely give sonic another chance!

Fell in love with Sonics down in the south, and this isn’t the typical Sonic setup, which I think is a shame. I know local politics had them change the tried and true design; which I think will always prevent them from finding their «groove» due to so much going on… inside, drive thru, and usual bays. I don’t like this style either BUT I get angry with the dopes downtown, not Sonic or it’s employees… think this store is destined to always be slow.
The food is good, can’t tell any difference from Texas, and if you sign up on-​line they notify you about lots of really good specials. I’m still glad we now have a Sonic and will try to never be in a big hurry so I’m not disappointed by the wait… if you pay attention those kids are REALLY working hard.

Absolutely LOVE the food choices at Sonic. We had one when we lived in Kansas and loved it! So we were thrilled when Sonic came to Poulsbo. Unfortunately, the service here is very hit & miss. Sometimes it’s acceptable, other times abysmally slow!

The food is pretty good as well as the shakes but the wait here is ridiculous. Even at night. And they close the stalls at night as well. Didn’t know they did that.

Been here twice now about a month between each visit and both times have been bad.
Tried coming again for a third time and the person had absolutely no clue what was going on.
Three things that save this place from being completely terrible 1. The drinks during certain times are very cheap. 2. The amount of drink types and how good they are. 3. The people who work here so far have been really nice.
So in conclusion only come here for a drink and during the cheap times open-​11am and 2 – 4 I believe are the times.

I have been itching to try the new Sonic for a while and was able to finally get there last night (Tuesday). I saw that the drive thru had a long line so I went to a stall to order.
The menu is quite vast and all the delicious junk food I was craving. I love that they have so many milkshake and drink options! This is why I give them a 2.
I ordered my meal (milkshake, popcorn chicken, chili tots) and proceeded to wait 35 minutes for it to be brought out to my car. I was seriously considering leaving but I had paid $ 11 for the meal so I decided to wait.
The food was not bad but nothing to write home about, and certainly not work a 35 minute wait.
I might go back to try out breakfast sometime but I just don’t know if I want to risk the wait time.

Guys, we need to talk. It’s not me, it’s you. Your wait is too long, your food quality too low, your service insanely slow. I gave you several chances, even went inside this last time to order 2 drinks. 2 DRINKS Took 10 minutes. Ugh.

Slow service, dirty bathroom, cold fries. Overall, this was my worst Sonic experience.

Sonic should be ashamed to have their name on this place. Was excited to finally get to go and what a disappointment. Service was incredibly slow; credit card machines didn’t work; and this was on a Monday night around 5:30 a you would think the management would plan better, especially since people are out shopping.
Now for the food. How is it possible to screw up a hot dog??? In ordered the Chicago dog. It was cold (not even sure if it was even cooked) and the bun was soggy because they piled so much relish on it. I ended up throwing most of it away. Wife ordered the chili/​cheese tots and they were just as bad. This place needs to go away, and go away quickly!

I work graveyard shift, so it’s great to get some of their boneless wings at 6 am. It was myself and one other person in front of me (drive thru), and I waited probably 15 minutes for my wings and tater tots. I wasn’t in any rush, but all these stories of slow service are unfortunately true. The woman who served me was nice enough.
The buffalo chicken was the sh*t though, definitely going back. The soda always tastes weird? Someone tell them that the soda nozzles do in fact come off and need to be cleaned.
Oh and be careful not to hit the dog that likes to run around the parking lot.

Ordered over an hour and half ago and still haven’t gotten my food… Enough said.
New or not, get your shit together.

This is my second time at a Sonics. A week after opening and they still need police traffic control on a Tues at 4pm there was still lines out into the street. I had to eat quick and they were very efficient at directing me to the fastest way to get food, which is the bellhop service. I was directed around other cars and not made to wait. Kudos for great parking lot service.
If you use the bellhop service on the road side you find because of double barriers you can’t actually reach the Call Button or credit card slot from you car without opening the door. I hope that is just temporary. Ordering took a while and I wasn’t sure if I was timing out or just not getting service. I’m trying to eat healthy, so wouldn’t recommend this place if that is your goal, but if you want an experience and something different it’s a good choice. They have about 6 items under 450 calories, which means you order just the entrée and nothing else.
The first time I came to Sonic’s last week I ordered a double cheeseburger and they delivered a cheesy tater tot. They quickly corrected that. The burger came double wrapped which kept it really warm on the way home. The burger was fully loaded with a perfect combination of pickles, onions and cheese. The bun never became soggy or overwhelm the burger. I would say overall the menu is a junkyard of over caloried items that could total a weeks worth easily. It will not be a place I visit often. Skip the combos and have a burger with water and you will find its plenty.
This time I ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich grilled. The sandwich comes nicely wrapped in a way that is easy to eat in a car without making a mess. The sandwich is about 4″ long I assume to keep the calories down. I ate a quarter of my sandwich before I even found any chicken which was a very slim unnaturally moist rubbery chicken. The Ciabatta bun was a nice change but didn’t really add any flavor. It was a chicken sandwich I could have gotten anywhere.
So thumbs up for the burger I had the first time and thumbs down for the healthier chicken sandwich the second time.
P. S. They spelled Poulsbo, Paulsbo on the menu flyer. Not a good sign for knowing the community, but I’m willing to educate them on our Viking ways.
