Took a brand new pair of Frey boots in to be stretched. He ruined them! !! There were burn holes in the front of both boots and the leather came out rippled like they were slouch boots. His response was that they looked«fine». I will never use him again and will tell my friends. I gave the 1 star because he did stretch them out satisfactorily.

I’ve had one good and one so-so experience here. I had a pair of boots re-heeled(good execution, a little expensive @ ~$ 25). I also had the synthetic suede-like footbed cover removed from a pair of Dansko sandals. As they were $ 150 shoes, I figured it would be worth having the footbed replaced with leather. The cobbler said he could do it. However, the finished product looked awful. He cut out a leather footbed and simply glued it on top. The edges are unprofessional and something I could have easily done myself. This cost ~$ 50. It’s worth mentioning that the shoes and boots at the store are rebuilt, yet they cost the same as retail, not second-hand footwear.

So glad this place is here, I have always received excellent service and craftsmanship. It must be so hard to stay open in this throw away world, but if you have a pair of quality footwear that you want to keep repaired, this is the place to go.

These people are great! They resoled my beloved Dansko clogs and polished them for about $ 20. The price was way less than I was expecting for the quality and turn-around time.
