Peninsula Paint Centers

When we were building out house, peninsula paint came recommended by LaMont interior design company. From the moment we walked in, we found them to be super helpful. For anyone who has built a house, you know that there are always more trips to the paint store than you planned. We were always welcomed back with a smile and if we were at a tricky spot with painting, they were always super helpful with advice.

The staff at Peninsula Paint is outstanding and willing to do anything to help, even staying late if necessary for a pick up. I have built and remodeled many houses, and, although I am not a volume buyer, I’ve never dealt with a more professional paint store

Haha — that first review seems to shoot itself in the foot. Bits of dried paint have never been in the paint I have bought at this store nor would I actually drive all the way to Bainbridge Island to avoid Peninsula Paint. This is actually a real paint store with a great selection of different products.
I have been in a number of times where the folks behind the counter were incredibly busy and I had to wait. So be it. It’s not fast food and the service I have received here was always professional and not pushy. There have been a number of projects they have helped me figure out and I never feel like they are just trying to make a sale or get me out the door. My experience has been opposite to Alan’s. Maybe you just caught them on a bad day.

I’ve been here several times over the past couple years and I always get the same impression: no one cares.
The help in this store… well, there is none so I guess I can’t say that. When I go in here they act like they are doing me a favor and aren’t too happy about me interrupting their break. It’s never busy but I always manage to wait far too long for any help.
Furthermore some of the product I’ve purchased here was less than desirable. The paint had been sitting for quite some time (I guess) as it had little bits of dried paint all through it.
I went in recently to order some specialty paint and after two weeks it still isn’t here and when I call them I get the same disservice I do when I go in person. If you need to use Peninsula Paint Company for their brand or a brand only they sell I strongly recommend you go up to Winslow Paint on Bainbridge Island. They are much more accommodating.
