Not too special. Ordered a BLTA that came with no avocado, the waitress disappeared after delivering the food and by the time I could point out it was missing an ingredient it was beyond useful. No refresh in our coffee working the 20 minutes from food delivery, honestly you would be better off going to McDonalds for lunch, at least the food would be fast and consistent.

NEVERAGAIN. My boyfriend and I went to this Elmer’s on a Friday morning for breakfast. It was not very busy. There were four open tables in sight. We stood in the waiting area and made eye contact with a few employees, who straight up ignored us. After waiting to be seated for over five minutes, a couple walked and was greeted within two minutes and was being seated. My response: WEARESOLEAVINGANDNEVERCOMINGBACK. I made a Unilocal account just to write this review.

Well first, I have to say that I have a soft spot in my heart for Elmer’s restaurants, and have had for nearly 40 years. I learned how to drink coffee in Elmer’s, I discovered my favorite omelette(the Elmer, with hollandaise sauce), my husband and I dated at Elmer’s. So when when opened up near me, I couldn’t wait. I ordered the crab Benedict, and oh my goodness it didn’t disappoint. Eggs poached perfectly, the same delicious hollandaise I remember. And it has crisp bacon! Plenty of crab and nice, fresh fruit with it. And the coffee is good, bonus. I still love you, Elmer’s!

Stopped in on Monday for a late breakfast/dinner. We waited ten minutes to be seated then another ten for our order to be taken. Our food did not arrive for another hour! Food was ok but not worth that kind of wait

We have had breakfast here a couple of times and have had great service and great food. The Dutch Baby is awesome. You do not find them very often and Elmer’s does a great job with them. From the looks of some if the other dishes they were serving we have to try other things. We love Elmer’s.

I was here a few months ago and the food was great. Just came in for lunch recently and everything has declined rapidly.

We have gone here a handful of times and have enjoyed it each time. We prefer to get the kids to split an adult entrée since the kids options are pretty sugary. This time(on Easter day!) we actually told the waitress we were splitting it and they treated us like royalty, splitting everything down to the butter, syrup and sauce. The kids had so much fun with that. As always the food is fresh and the servers are friendly.

«Meh. I’ve experience better» is about as accurate as it gets. Right upon walking in the door the hostess seemed a little out of it, maybe she was new, idk. There is a sign on the wall that says, «Good Food Served Here», I feel like that’s all they’re trying to live up to… serving good food and not great food. The food was okay, nothing special. Our server was pleasant, but didn’t really engage us and never offered to refill my water glass or my dad’s iced tea, both of which were empty for at least 20 minutes. I take a star off just for not refilling my water, that is like waitressing 101, don’t let the glass get empty. I got the BLTA, which was fine, the clam chowder was okay, my dad and I both has to add salt and pepper then it was much better. There are better places I’d rather spend my money at, that’s for sure.

A great restaurant for a family. Good place to take kids as they are very helpful with little ones and go out of their way to help. Try the hash browns with everything or the German pancakes with the apple topping. And everything else that we’ve had has been very good with good service.

I Miss Mitzel’s. And the first reincarnation when they rebuilt after the fire. This version has the feel and the food of a mediocre Denny’s. Just in a much nicer building and with much better servers. The tables and seating are overdue for a bit of rehab and deep cleaning. I could possibly forgive all of the above but not the poor quality and preparation of the salmon. Not when even the airport did a better job. There’s some unpleasant symmetry going on here: it’s as disappointing to find a NW restaurant serving substandard salmon as it is to comprehend a restaurant burning down with a well-financed, fulltime fire department located directly across the street. Maybe I’ve missed the point of the place. Perhaps it’s just for breakfast food. That would explain it. Sigh.

Ended up here by chance. I can say we were not disappointed! There was a small wait due to it being Saturday around brunch time, but nothing horrible. Classy environment but casual attire. The staff was very nice and prompt. We never had an empty glass. Now to the food! I got an original waffle with the caramel apple spread on top. Oh my, so delicious! Along with the waffle I ordered a cranberry mimosa. One word, scrumptious! I would definitely recommend Elmers.

Great family restaurant. A must-visit if in the Poulsbo area. The Saturday Market Skillet was terrific. The menu provides many options including lighter(lower calorie) meals. Kids’s menu provided a variety of options. Our server, Brooke, was awesome. Efficient, courteous, and a joy. She was good with the kids. And kids get a lollipop at the end if they are good. The wait was very short and we were greeted at the entrance. The ambiance is good. Bathrooms were clean. We’ll definitely return and try their lunch or dinner menu.

Very good service, food wasn’t bad. Very helpful with providing information about the foods for someone who had food allergy concerns. Will defiantly be back.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s my mom’s favorite restaurant when she visits from out of state. The food is always fresh and well prepared. We had the fried seafood basket and the crab Cobb salad. The fish and shrimp was fried to perfection, and the amount of fresh lump crabmeat on the salad was very generous. After lunch we had the Marionberry cheesecake. Yum! We’ll definitely go back!

Had HORRIBLE service last time I went here! I stood up front for at least 5 minutes while employees noticed, but never greeted me. I made eye contact with the waitress with hopes to be seated, and she continued to ignore me. A group of four walked in a minute later, she instantly greeted them and began to grab menus for them. I can understand this happening if she had never seen me, but the fact that she made eye contact with me and was well aware that myself and my company were hoping to dine at this restaurant was plainly disrespectful. I have never had a problem with the food here, but this service is unacceptable.

I always feel like I am out of place when I come here it definitely is a place that the older generation have their early dinners and the service matches them. Slow. But have you seen their German Pancakes? They are the size of my torso. It’s great but when I asked for extra powdered sugar I had to ask twice and decided not to wait for them to bring it after my party was half done with their breakfasts and I still hadn’t received. When they brought it?! It was two tablespoons. When I say extra I mean extra! It barely comes with any and it tastes 100% better with powdered sugar covering it. Disappointed? Yes! I decided to take most of it home to make it the way I wanted. But they don’t taste the same once cold so it was disappointing. They have a solid menu to choose from and they have good options for those wanting less calories. They are always always busy on the weekends. We waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. With the service as slow as it is I just wonder if they would actually fair better. Responsiveness is key, it just wasn’t there.

Definitely a solid three. I ordered the potato pancakes with over easy eggs and they were yummy, the eggs cooked correctly. My bacon wasn’t over or undercooked. The husband ordered classic Eggs Benedict and had the same thoughts. Nothing outstanding, nothing done incorrectly. Up a star for stellar service. Our waitress was quick and pleasant. Down a star for ridiculously subpar coffee. Everyone talks about how Starbucks has a burnt flavor, but they have nothing on this roaster. It tasted like brewed charcoal. We’d probably pop by for breakfast again after enjoying some coffee at home.

We showed up at Elmer’s on the weekend for breakfast. We had not been here since it’s changed ownership and we’re excited to try the new fare. First off, the menu has a lot to offer. Tons of choices, some of which are a little bit generic and others that are unique to this restaurant. Both types of options are very nice to have on the menu. The service was good… Not great, but good. Our server was nice but I definitely would not describe her as friendly… She seemed very much like she was just there to do her job. She got her order correct on the first try, she refilled or coffee, and she did stop by wants to check on us and make sure everything was okay. The primary reason that I am reviewing this restaurant at four out of five stars is because of how ungodly UNcomfortable the chairs are at the tables. We did not sit in a booth, so I really can’t speak to those… But the chairs that we sat in were extremely awkward feeling. It might not have been quite so bad had we been in a less awkward place… We sat at this table that was RIGHT in the middle and we felt like we were in a walkway. My boyfriend’s chair kept getting bumped into every time a server or patron would walk by on their way to or from somewhere. To be embarrassingly honest, my butt was numb by the end of our breakfast. We really were not there that long… And I am not someone who generally has issues with chairs. Overall, it was a positive experience. If we do return, I will most certainly ask to sit in a booth and not at a table with chairs.

I was treating a friend to a belated birthday lunch and seeing as how she had a baby very recently, we decided on some place close to home. Neither one of us had tried Elmer’s yet, so that was her choice. We were greeted immediately, but when they saw we had a baby, told us it would be a few minutes. We were a little confused, considering quite a few sections had a lot of empty seating. Turns out they were setting up a table for us with one of those blue nylon mesh slings to put a baby carrier in. As soon as it was set up, they seated us and the rest of the meal went by quite quickly. Service was great, the food was pretty good especially for the price, and I would definitely go back to grab another burger and fries.
