Best wine tastings in Poughkeepsie, maybe even in the Hudson Valley. Proprietors Kevin and Val are incredibly friendly and Kevin is generous with his time and wine knowledge. Looking for a wine to go with a certain dinner at a certain price point? Kevin will guide the way. Prices are excellent — they have a vast selection of wine at the $ 10 mark, with lots of smaller wineries beyond your Yellowtail and other big box brands. Of course Southside has mid– and high-end wines too. It’s a neighborhood-friendly place. Weekly Friday night wine tastings are like a meet-and-greet for neighbors. Many new friends are made every week. So if you’re into supporting a local business, this is the one.
