Not as good as it used to be. The food tasted like it was straight out of a can — will not return. I would rather pay a little more for good food!

Great food! Had tacos, beans and rice and a side of plantains, and they were very tasty! Nice atmosphere too. Fast and friendly service.

I’m torn; the food is excellent, but the service is often lacking. I’m not sure if they need more waitstaff or cooks, but either way, if you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait.

I would not recommend this place for a quick meal or any meal. First time my wife and I were here when it opened it took 3 hrs to get our meal and it tasted like they microwaved it. Tonight it took 45 min to get our drinks with a party of 6. Forget about taking our food order. Owners son tried to disolve the situation but only made it worse when another customer approached him at our table and tried to pay. Ended up getting into a verbal confrontation with other customer. Did I mention my brother in law was performing at the place. Wtf. We left and will never go back. I live a few blocks from the place. I found out later that they tried to fix it by giving drinks to the rest of the party after they joined us elsewhere for dinner. If I treated any customer of mine like the way they did I would not be in business. 0 stars for you if I could.

OMG real tamales! Food was fresh and yummy. Not a fine dining establishment but for inexpensive($ 8 tamales) Mexican joint it was yummy. Place was clean and decorated nicely. Loved the Ringo Starr matador bust but the pigs that we’re staring at me while I ate were judgmental. read reviews about poor service almost didn’t go because of it. Yes there were 12 tables in there at 3pm and one waitress who was also bartender so it was not a fast meal but still in out and fed in under an hour with 3 people and smart enough to ask for wverything at one time so the mimber of trips to our table were minimal. Saw her go back and forth to one table 3 times with single glasses of water. You didnt know you wanted water

I think the Guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars for that and because of that I will go back. I also had the veggie burrito and although the waitress asked me if it having mushrooms and spinach was okay I was surprised that those two ingredients were by far the main ingredients — I love spinach and mushrooms but that was too much. I won’t order it again but other dishes looked good and I’ll try them. The wait service was a bit under par.

The food here is fresh and consistent. Great prices for what you get. Nice addition to the neighborhood. Authentic Mexican with cool décor.

Terrible food compared to any other Mexican restaurant around. Expensive considering what you get. Very skimpy portions and no beans with the rice. No chips and salsa either. Flavor wasn’t there either. I think I’d rather heat up frozen burritos than eat at Mole Mole again.

The service is lacking severely. We walked in and weren’t initially acknowledged, so we proceeded to seat ourselves and wait for someone to notice us. We also asked to sit in a booth table that hadn’t been cleared yet from a departed party but they made it seem like they didn’t have any staff available to clear it. WHAT. Clear the damn table and let us sit where we want! Horrible customer service. We then proceed to order drinks — they don’t have half of the drinks listed on the menu(lemonade, no fresh juices) and my friend’s Horchata was a bit weird tasting(she had ordered it here countless times before). I settled with a minute maid orange juice(i know, ridiculous) and we asked to order our food. My friend got the Mexican pizza, which she always gets and enjoys. I had never been here before so I ordered the vegetarian burrito. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. ALSO there was this woman playing a fucking xylophone the entire time we were there. WHATISGOINGON, it wasn’t that festive or good, just… kinda annoying and loud. Probably never coming back.

The food here for the most part is good. The prices are a little high for what you get, however, and the experience and quality all depends on the server you end up getting. Order the guacamole and chips to go and ask for it after you have ordered soup or something first. You get a lot more guacamole in the takeout container for the high price of seven bucks compared to the small scoop you get otherwise in the eat in ceramic bowl. Also, the soups are excellent, but ordering on the holidays is a bad idea, everything super salty. Service: there is one really sweet waitress always smiling, petite, pony tail, wish I knew her name, she is awesome. There is another, however, colors her hair reddish, had a bun, taller, real thin, we had her last time, barely speaks English. She was terrible. We asked for guacamole Togo, no she she didn’t do that. She put in soup and entrees together and the entrees came out three minutes after soup and she didn’t seem to care that it obviously bothered us. Then she just disappeared. The other waitress was there and got us to go bowls for our soup so our entrees wouldn’t get cold. But the experience was already ruined. Not only that, the food just wasn’t that good this last time. Everything seemed rushed. It cooked in under 10 minutes. Our bill was 50 bucks. No alcohol. You would think spending that much, the quality and service would be better. We actually give this place many chances a few times a month, but after this last visit, I am not sure if we will be going back.

Horrible service! They were rude, and it seemed like an inconvenience that we were even there to spend money! The food was bland and hastily prepared. I will NEVER go back there!

Went to the new location just recently and it was a great experience! Their margarita was good and not too strong, love the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera portraits/art on the walls and the food was awesome, as usual. I see in previous reviews that the service wasn’t very good — didn’t have that problem. The waitress was very nice and prompt.

Refers to Hooker Avenue location: If there were a zero star, I’d click that. Poor service, poor portions, sloppy presentation and simply not very good. Nachos were tiny and delivered to the table about 30 seconds after being ordered. My tacos were hastily made with a big glob of sour cream just dumped in the middle. No request to refill either my ice tea or water — and there were only two other tables with customers. No surprise there. I felt as though I would have been better served just tossing my $ 20 into a garbage can. Never again.

$ 10 for three tacos with a side of rice and beans — you can’t beat that! Especially since many Mexican places is the area like Café Maya and Margaritas charge $ 15-$ 20 for an entrée. The food is really good. I love the Al Pastor tacos. And the Cuban plate is also a great choice. Very filling. My boyfriend loves the cheesecake chimichanga — I’ve seen him order it twice. They also have a good selection of Mexican beer. The only reason I’m giving it 4⁄5 stars is because the service is bad. If the owner is there the waitresses will be more helpful, but if not you are going to have to get up to ask for something.

I love this restaurant! I lived in Mexico City for a few years and this place is the closest to authentic Mexican food around. The pork Mexican style tacos are delicious! The horchata is also good! the only thing lacking is the service. the waitress is not very welcoming or friendly but that’s ok… food is still very good!

If you are looking for fast, fresh, yummy, and cheap Mexican food in Poughkeepsie, Mole Mole is the place to go. Their Hooker Avenue location has plenty of seating and festive décor. You can also order out, which we do way too often! Pretty much everything we’ve had there has been SO good, but the highlights that we continue to get are the fresh pico de gallo and guacamole, the al pastor burrito, and the beef nachos. Their portion sizes are enough to fill you up and then some. The one area that I hope they continue to work on is their dine-in service. They often seem understaffed and the waitress or waitresses are rushing around somewhat frantically. This can lead to long waits for drink refills or the check.
