This pizza place is deliciosa. The owners are so nice and try to make everyone feel special. They have a Nutella pizza that’s a crêpe-like dessert in theory, but much more delicious. It’s a personal pan with Nutella on it, fresh baked out of the oven. It’s so yummy. The pizza itself is perfect. The crust is warm and nice. Not too hard, not too gooey. Perfect amount of thinness, without being hard and too cracker-like… just good solid NY pizza. Some of the best around. Will not dissapoint.

Tossed salads are made with spotty(brown spots) inner yellow cut iceberg lettuce. For almost $ 10.00 an order quality appears to be slipping.

Excellent place to grab a bite in downtown Poughkeepsie. .we have never been to Poughkeepsie before and just wandered in here. I had the grilled vegetables on Flatbread that was quite tasty. I had to take half back to the hotel to eat later as it was quite large. The side pasta salad was the best pasta salad I had ever had. My husband had the tuna melt which he said was very good. If i ever return to Poughkeepsie, I will eat here again!

By far one of the best small town pizzeria experience I’ve had since coming to the east coast. I had 40 mins to spare and was hungry so I decided to spot by the first deli shop that i saw. Greeted by friendly staff right off the bat who showed me so much enthusiasm in helping me pick from their menu. I picked the chicken pesto sandwich and fries. Biggest pet peeve of mine is rancid frying oil where everything you cook in it taste like the oil. My fries were large, plump and hot. Now the sandwich… first off, bread is made in house so the crust on it and air pockets inside was just the perfect bread to hold a saucey, wet sandwich. The chicken was juicy and the pesto sauce was to die for. The owner than came over to ask me where I went to and was so engaging, my seat for one meal turned into the friendliest and funny conversation to include most of the staff. I will definitely be coming here again. They deliver on campus to Marist and CIA!!!

This is very good pizza, one of the best in Poughkeepsie. My husband and I have«pizza Friday» every week. We bounce around between a few different places trying to decide which is best. This pizza is my new favorite. I can’t wait to try some of the other food(I’ll provide updates as I try it). As a bonus the owners are really nice people.

Working on Main St., I’ve stopped in a couple of times in the year and ½ since this new establishment opened. I feel that it was much needed in the area. For over 2 decades easy, there has been a great pizzeria down the street a few blocks, but they’ve been in need of an interior décor renovation for several years now, so this new, fresh, well-decorated Italian eatery is a breath of fresh air when it comes to small pizzerias in the downtown area. Upon recently speaking with the owner, I learned that the family business benefits greatly from decades of restaurant management and cooking experience, including Umberto’s of Poughkeepsie(fantastic lasagna!) and Mama Leone’s of NYC. The owners and managers of this establishment also wait on the customers and are lovely, amiable people with upbeat attitudes. The food is very tasty, and fresh tasting, although I’ve not had many dishes beyond pizza, soup and a couple of calzones. When I last dined here for lunch recently with a friend, the restaurant was at about 80% capacity, and the wait staff seemed a bit hurried, but still friendly and attentive. There was a bit of a lengthy wait for the food to arrive, but perhaps they’re still gaining popularity and need to devise more effective ways to handle a full house, or close to one. All in all, this relatively new eatery gets a big«thumps up» in my culinary book of good eats!

Wow… I have the confidence to say that this is my favorite pizza place north of NYC(I’m not daring enough to say favorite place ever). It is easy to underestimate this place, because it honestly blends in with the other up-and-coming restaurants that sprinkle Main Street. I actually haphazardly stumbled in here looking for lunch during my first day of jury duty on a Monday… and ended up going in for lunch every single day thereafter for the rest of my jury duty stint. Things to try? Get their 12″ slice… one of the biggest slices of pizza I have ever seen! Also, definitely take advantage of their lunch specials. I had an Italian rice ball lunch special that was the size of a softball… and I begged for the recipe since I’m marrying a guy who is 100% Italian next year(and food is the key to any Italian man’s heart!!!) I also had a really great rustic white slice there that had an amazing blend of a multitude of cheeses(instead of globs of lukewarm ricotta that seems to constitute white pizza to the majority of pizzerias around here). Lastly, the two owners, who met back in Sicily 20+ years ago, are so sweet and remember you by name/face after only coming in a couple times… it’s hard not to love this place. I wish it was closer to Wappingers where I am, but I will be stopping in again soon!!!

We’ve been Main St. Pizza quite a few times since they opened in downtown Poughkeepsie this summer. It’s a great neighborhood pizza and Italian food restaurant and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We’ve had several pizzas that have been as good as any NY pizza. What really stands out for me are the entrees. The Chicken Parmesan dinner is a favorite with tasty chicken, sauce and your choice of pasta. It probably weighs a couple of pounds and you also get a salad and bread so it’s a huge meal for less than $ 10. The stuffed shells and lasagna are also great meals and good value. There are many more things on the menu that I look forward to trying. The owners Dominick and Melinda are very friendly and hard working and we love going to their restaurant to pick up something for takeout when we’re too lazy to cook. They also have free delivery but we just live down the street.

Good Pizza, I’d prefer a crispier crust, but it was good pizza with well made sauce and solid ingredients. Just opened at the end of July 2010. Seems to be family owned and the owners seem excited to join our neighborhood and offer us decent food. Another plus to the up and coming neighborhood of Downtown Poughkeepsie.
