Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa

My Esthetician, Leslie was way too rough. I went there to get a relaxing facial and that’s not what I got. Yes the place is clean and quiet and relaxing but Leslie keep asking questions and personal ones and she keep talking. She was rough with my skin by pulling and slapping it hurt bad. I always get facials and no one has done that. I think I’ll stick to paying $ 85 for a facial at the spa I usually go to instead of signing up for this spa. It wasn’t worth it.

Have been a member here for a little over a year. The staff, from the moment they answer the phone to the completion of your service, are top knotch. No, its not a fluffy day spa with all the bells and whistles, but for $ 60 a month you get a superior service and a «where everybody knows your name» feeling. Keep doing what you’re doing!

They advertise a 60 minute massage but after filing out paperwork and the masseuse leaving the room with 10 minutes left to prepare for another customer the massage only lasted less than half an hour. I spoke with the manager Taylor and she was not helpful at all. I called ahead saying we would be a few minutes late and Taylor blamed this as the reason instead of responding to their lack of planning and over booking.

Tonight I had one of the best massages of my life by a woman named Diana. I walked in there stiff and slightly limping and left feeling like a million bucks!

If you are looking for a completely indulgent, luxury spa experience this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for an affordable, convenient way to make facials and massages part of your normal routine rather than something saved for special occasions, Hand and Stone is a stellar choice. Incredibly affordable, especially when you opt for the membership plan and beyond convenient. Let your technician know exactly what you like — and as importantly, don’t like — and they will tailor the experience for you. I find that the front desk staff is always willing to work with me to find appointment times that work within my schedule, the location is clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. I particularly love facials with Claire and massages with Mia. These pros can be relied upon to make sure your concerns are met and that you leave feeling well and relaxed.

Terrible customer service. It says walk-​ins on Unilocal,but after calling to no response and walking in for a massage, they were booked for the whole day.

I was gifted a facial and massage and came out disappointed, I wasted my time there.
The facial itself was ok, but the experience isn’t very relaxing when the time is used to pitch their skin care line. The facialist was speaking out of turn by making negative judgements on what my medical professionals (Mount Sinai dermatology in Manhattan) have recommended to me as my skin care products and regimen.
The massage was the worst I ever had and I’ve had quite a few for comparison. There was no technique followed, no pressure applied, no focus, no concern for me whatsoever. She didn’t ask me anything in the beginning about what my needs were. She did only one arm (when I was lying belly down) and only the front side of my legs. 15 minutes into the massage I wanted to get off the table because it wasn’t nice. Her fingernail should be filed. I don’t think this person was trained in massage administration. Unpleasant waste of time.
No one cared to ask me how my experience was after it was all over.
I will not return to this location again.

I’m a member and planned to go once a month but work/​life got in the way. I love that my packages were carried over and now I’m using them and able to upgrade my treatments. I recently had a facial and microdermabrasion treatment. Angela was great!

Great ambience! Attentive staff! Great service! If you’re looking for a massage to de-​stress or a relaxing facial, this is the place! Looking forward to going back!

I had a great clarity facial this past weekend with Clare. The facial was very relaxing, and she used products that were perfect for my ultra sensitive skin!

Since one of my friends is a fan of massages here, booked a facial. The receptionist was welcoming and you immediately feel like you are about to be treated to something special behind the door.
Leslie was my facial aesthetician. She was wonderful! She not only had the expertise and knowledge of all the products, we found we had a lot in common. The appointment flew by!
The only drawback for me was the addition of services and joining the club push at the end of the appointment. Totally get that the business is there to make money, but not sure how much pressure the people who work there are under to make the additional sales. I joined and wish I had read Kelly A’s review before I did. Hope I do not have any issues.
Overall, a wonderful experience and am looking forward to going back and seeing Leslie for my next facial.

Whatever you do, DO NOT JOIN THEIR MEMBERSHIP CLUB!!! UGH! What a nightmare! I had it for a few months and it was fine. But I tried to cancel it and they make it impossible! I cancelled once and still got charged. I called twice to dispute the charge and was told a manager would get back to me, No one ever got back to me! I had to file with the Better Business Bureau and stop payments with my bank — which cost ME more money!

Massages great. Place clean and lovely. Tables heated and could compete with the best spas. The monthly membership is a great deal (no frills in waiting room; i.e. don’t expect robes and tea and loungey waiting room or showers, but who needs that?). Only downside is location, in a strip mall, but that’s America these days.

I came here the other day for the first time and absolutely loves it! The receptionists were kind, friendly, and welcoming. The massage therapists were also welcoming and kind, they did such a wonderful job with the massage as well! So nice! Just overall a wonderful experience. So wonderful that I signed up for their membership! I will definitely be returning at least once a month.

Going to a spa was once a luxury because of the cost. I always said, if this was a little less expensive, I would go so much more often. Well, thank you Hand & Stone, the messages are now affordable AND I am going to probably the most SUPERIOR message therapist I have ever had the pleasure of working with!!! Thank you Tina P.
