This is a perfect review of Wizard’s World, and a direct rebuttal to the rather un-informed, and frankly ignorant 1-star review: Wizard’s World and its artists are the only one’s I will ever trust with a machine on my skin. Luke White is a fantastic artist, who is nearly neurotic when it comes to perfection. Every artist is passionate, and not just for tattoos. They’re all designers and creative minds in their own rite, in one form or another. The shop itself is literally covered from one wall to the other in awards and accolades. The shop is extremely clean, maintained to perfection, and cold in the hottest of days — as it should be for sterility. Every session is clean, all equipment baked in a kiln and sterilized. My wife and I, combined, share approximately 35 tattoos, including two full sleeves in production(both are half way finished). We know a thing or two about the tattoo business. This is the place to go. «Ally N» seems to not understand that a shop will require payment for the tattoo work to be done before your session begins. This helps to exclude would-be scam artists, or someone who wants to become combative and not pay after having work done. Too many artists have dealt with someone claiming the work was«sub-standard» and then refused to pay because they’re cheap. Seeing a reviewer immediately pull the«race card» should be enough to dismiss it as childish, entitled ad hominem. «They took his dollar for a soda but kept my dollar,» Really? How about you politely say, «Hey, can I have my dollar back?» A one-star review because you had to pay for something *before* you receive it(as literally every other place of business on Earth is) and for a can of pop. Hmm… Wizard’s World is a fantastic shop. Unfortunately tattoo artistry attracts some… not-so-bright folks. Ignore them, and proceed with confidence: This is where you should get your work done. (An aside): Ally flaunts her boyfriend’s «10+ shops» and«30+» tattoos. Seems like he can’t keep the same shop or artist, probably because of his behavior and your attitude. Real lovers of tattoos develop a relationship with their chosen artist, because that artist has invested time in your work, and has learned what you like and don’t like. Ask anyone who respects the trade.

This was the only tattoo shop that made my fiancé, his 2 brothers and I pay first, which is very disrespectful and in my opinion was completely racist… My fiancé and his brothers are black and I’m white… There was an older white couple who was in there when we arrived, and they paid after the work was done, yet we had to pay before hand. The artist that did my fiancé’s angel wing on his neck, shaved the back of my fiancé’s neck and took off more hair than necessary which caused my fiancé to break out. It was funny though because I(who am white) was treated with more respect than the men I was with. The experience was the worst I’ve ever had, my fiancé agrees and he has been in 10+ shops within an hour radius and has 30+ tattoos. Also, my fiancés brother and I had both gotten a soda there, which each cost $ 1, they kepty fiancés brother’s dollar yet gave back mine… Hmmm… I found this while doing some research. «Normally, in respectable tattoo shops, payment is due when services are rendered. This means you pay when the session is finished, not before it has begun. Large tattoos are paid for session by session, so you only pay for the work that was performed that day.(any shop that demands payment before the tattoo is done is probably accustomed to working with a shady clientele who are often trying to run out without paying. This may mean that you are in a shady tattoo shop. If you are shady yourself, or are okay with getting tattooed in a shady shop, stay put and carry on. If you don’t want to be tattooed in a shady shop, you might want to leave at this point).» I would NOT recommend going to this shop

I want to express the same feeling I had expressed to the owner today. I think this shop is very clean and ALL the staff are professional. Myself and my family have had great experience with JOHNHOWIE. Great artist very fun to be around and a great personality. We like him so much we drove up to Scranton to be tattooed by him for the third time some of us it was our fourth time in less then a year. The shop owner should be proud of his staff and his business. I can’t wait to go back to John for my next custom piece. Also Tim really professional and friendly to guest in personal and over the phone.
