My husband and i love this place. They have great beer. Great food and friendly down to earth staff. Today I ordered the buffolo chicken pizza and a Royal weisse delish. My husband likes the $ 1 tacos and a sampler of their beers.

I’ve been a patron of The Sly Fox since the late 90s, and have been taking my family to this location almost once per week for the past few years. The food menu is small but they change things around here and there, and have specials depending on the day. Small kitchen area is in open view, and the cooked items go into the pizza oven. The oven cooked wings are very nice! They do have a good deal on Wednesday nights for pizza, and a pitcher. Thursday’s are great, as they have select varieties of growler fills available. You order food and drinks at the bar. A runner drops off your food items. The beer menu has it’s very solid flagship beers, and well done rotation of offerings. Don’t miss the patio, or the events they throw. Always a fun time!

Amazing beer, delicious food, and even better service! All of the food is fresh, not frozen. The Beer and food specials are the best in the area for craft beer. Wednesdays you get a pizza, sliders(with 2 sides), a growler fill for $ 20! Not to mention happy hour prices on beer from 4−6pm Wednesday-Friday and 1−5pm in Sunday which are $ 1.50 off the 16 or 20oz(or more) beers making them anywhere from $ 3-$ 4.50. Thursday is $ 6 growler fills for certain beers as well. You will not be disappointed!

Love. The out door space is amazing during great weather. All of their food excellent, the pizza and baked wings are ab absolute favorite. I’m partial about the beer because I’m a Victory Brewing Girl. But absolutely love coming here. Great atmosphere.

Best little hidden secret back there, hard to find but worth the search! Something different from the same ol tavern or brew pub. Great selection of beer and friendly knowledgable staff. Decent menu for snacks to brick oven pizza. Pizza was surprisingly better then good, heard people say in there. «I don’t like pizza but I love theirs!» It is delicious and their wings are great too! If your looking for something a little different give them a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Stopped in last night on a whim. The Whitehouse Wit and the Black Raspberry Reserve were both fantastic. A bottle of Black Raspberry Reserve found its way in my car for additional enjoyment back home. The jerks wings were fantastic. Slightly charred from the oven and a great underlying smoky flavor. We also tried the sausage and pepper pizza, featuring sausage from local sausage purveyor Freeland Market. It did not disappoint. Overall a great experience. We will be back!

Had a great experience here. The beer was decent, the food was good, and the service was really helpful. I don’t love that you have to order from the bar, but that’s becoming so common in brewpubs that I’m trying to adjust~!

Beers are always good at this location just like their Phoenixville spot. No complaints on food and the atmosphere is good. This place is definitely worth the stop but be prepared to wait if you’re not a regular. Bartenders aren’t the friendliest to those that they don’t know and are in no hurry to stop talking with each other or friends to serve thirsty patrons a beer. Overall, great place for a food and a beer, but don’t come looking for good service or friendly bartenders.(Everyone has bad days, but this review is based on 3 visits)

Awesome place. Many craft beers to choose from which will surely fit anyone’s preference. Food is pizza, wings, salads, sliders. You order at the bar, and they’ll bring the food to you. I look forward to going there probably once a month or so. I’m giving it a 4 because I’m still waiting for them to nail an awesome IPA that’s super delicious. Odyssey is just OK. 113 is a malt bomb.

Beer is great. They are always trying new brews and few disappoint. The sitting area is super casual, so don’t look for the traditional booth type dining experience. However, the staff is above excellent and they take care of you. Ask for Esther! 2 trips and they know your name. It is that kind of place. On top of that, take one of the regular tours through the brewery and get a taste of up and coming flavors. The food is a smart, tight menu of what they do well. Pizza is phenomenal, sliders are great and nachos always work. I’ve even done the salad items when Im faking health consciousness. There are also constant events, like bike races, goat races, beer club events for trips to ireland, etc. Give it a look, you will enjoy it.

I’ve been a fan of Sly Fox’s beer since I was of age ;) To me, their beer is tasty and no fuss. Finally, we made it to the Bock Fest & Goat Race this year, after always hearing about it, but missing it. We trekked out to Pottstown and arrived by 11:30am. We were able to park in the field at the airport and walk over. Parking was filling up quickly. This was our first trip to the brewery and to the Goat Race. The night before, we perused the list of competitors and rooted for our favorite goats. The three stars come from the lack of food options. The Cow & the Curd food truck was there which was nice. Pizzas from the restaurant were available, but I wasn’t up for it. The other options were beerwurst, Philly soft pretzels, schnitzel — all of which seemed to be sitting. If you’re a vegetarian I guess you would have been pretty hungry. I’m not, so I had a beerwurst. I am a big fan of German food, but the quality just wasn’t there. In the future, some sides would be good and water more readily available. Maybe some nice Bavarian-style pretzels vs Philly soft pretzels. Beer was $ 5, delicious, and another $ 5 if you wanted it in a commemorative mug(which we did, since goats are cute and Sly Fox beer is good). If you go, it’s a good idea to get there early with your group. Be sure to bring a tent and some chairs, the goat race doesn’t start until the afternoon!

Both times that I’ve been to Pottstown I’ve made it down to the sly fox. This is a modern upscale tasting room with brewery tours and about 15 beers on tap. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight from the bartender who helped me pick his favorite beers. Everything I inquired about other beers they had available he quickly gave me a taster and told me all about the brewing process. I ordered the honey siracha wings and they were really the only disappointing thing about my visit. While they were delicious and spicy, they might as well been called siracha wings. Mine had zero discernable honey flavor to speak of so I was left unsatisfied and with flaming lips. My previous visit I took the tour and had one of their pizzas which was great. Overall this is one of the best places to grab a drink in the Pottstown area. Its a fine establishment with a selection that any beer drinker would enjoy. It’s definitely some place I’ll come back to if I’m in Pottstown again.

Sly Fox isn’t a bad brewery, they are trying to do some inventive things. I think with time… or something… this could be a really great brewery. They have a couple of good beers that are packaged and sold around the area. The helles and the lager and both good, but not something that I would look for. At the tasting room, I tried the Hefeweizen Doppelbock, the Ichor, and something else that tasted almost exactly the same and the Ichor. The hefeweizen was my favorite, I tasted a good amount of banana. The Ichor was a bit watery, I was expecting more flavor. Counter service and picnic tables for food. The food wasn’t bad, but sort of an afterthought. They need to get rid of the pop tops on their cans. Cans are versatile, cans with a pop top are not.

Was here last night(Sunday) and was surprised at how inexpensive the specials were. There were tacos for $ 1 each(decent), ½ priced wings, soup and chili. The atmosphere was interesting. There are long tables so you can fit a bunch of people, but when we went there was a group that had just finished up an ultimate tournament and the place was a SAUNA… like, in terms of humidity. It kind of skeeved me out, but I am hoping that most of that had to do with the athletes. Food was decent, beer was typical Sly Fox beer(personally not a big fan), service was awesome.

This place is fun! We got here early, sat around and had a few drinks and some food, which was surprisingly good. Our tour began a little late but there were only 3 people. Our tour guides name was Matt a d he was fantastic, patient and filled with knowledge and answers. We had a fantastic time and plan on coming back here again. The atmosphere is super laid back and friendly! Definitely worth a visit.

I went to the tasting room on July 4th weekend specifically to get a tour and try some more Sly Fox beers that I hadn’t drank before. The food was pretty normal pub fare– wings, fries, pizzas. I wasn’t hungry, so I can’t really comment any further than the tiny bites I took(1 wing, for instance). On the other hand, I love Sly Fox beer, especially because of their emphasis on canned brews. So much easier to clean up and recycle – and to keep from getting skunked. I especially love their Helles lager and the Pikeland Pils, but the 360IPA is a good and strong brew if you’re a hophead. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the tour, which was casual to the point of being boring. The rep(whose name was Nick) was drinking on the tour and was even on the verge of being visibly intoxicated, which I found highly unprofessional. Additionally, because the tour was off the cuff, it wasn’t very well-thought out and dragged on for too long(a full hour). Beer: 4. Tour: 2. Food: 3. Thus, my rating.

On a recent trip up north and a tour of 12 breweries, this was my last brewery to check out. The brewery sits in an industrial park adjacent to the Pottstown airport. The space reminded me of breweries I was used to in NC. Outside there were a few picnic tables. Inside there was a bar along the opposite wall and picnic tables of various forms to the left. They also had a small kitchen to the right. There is a large beer menu and many options that looked appealing so I sat myself at the bar and ordered a flight which included beers of my choice. I can’t say I was really impressed with anything they had on tap. The IPA’s were decent but nothing really stood out to me but at this point in my trip, I think I was a bit beered out. They had a few beers in can/bomber form that were not on tap that looked interesting so I took a chance and took them home to NC. Thankfully, the beers I took home, the Black Raspberry Reserve and the 360IPA made this trip worthwhile. The Black Raspberry Reserve is fruity but not sweet and the 360IPA came in an interesting can… the entire lid came off for easy drinking. And this IPA was quite good out of the can! I will definitely come back for these two beers. Hopefully I won’t be as beered out on the next trip.
