I just can’t figure why anyone would give this place a good review. I’ve been there twice, both times it was a long wait for our food, the staff were surly, the food skimpy and generally blah, the place had no seating toward the front to wait for the food, and the back was filled with rowdy and dirty/foul-smelling drunks practically sprawled all over the place, leaving no room. The first time they actually over-charged me by quite a lot; despite giving a coupon, they didn’t honor it. They realized it as I was leaving, but didn’t call me back to give me the difference. It wasn’t until I was in my car that I processed what had happened/the difference in the bill, and I went back to get it. This time I was overcharged by a small amount, because they said that they’d recently had a price increase, yet the menu that sat in stacks on their counter had the price I’d expected(note, I didn’t have an out of date menu. it was the one they provided me when I walked in). The wait for our food was over 45 minutes on a week night, simple items ordered, and yet there was, no coupon offered, no discount offered, even no genuine apology offered. I’m done now, this second chance was enough for me, there are plenty of places where tastier food could be gotten more cheaply, and I’m treated with more respect by the staff.

Worked on the Obama campaign just up the road and practically lived off of Frank’s calzones as I had to get whatever was quick and within walking distance of my office. The real hidden gem on the menu is the chicken cordon bleu calzone: sweet, savory, and not greasy. Say«Hi!» to Frank, the owner. Pass on the salad bowls, though. But what do you expect at a pizza shop?

Stopped by today and got a cheese steak to go. It was made quite well. My only complaint was that I ordered a small and got a large. I didn’t find out until I got home.(I wondered why a small steak was $ 6!) Next time I will look in the bag and check my receipt, before leaving!

Since moving to Pottstown last spring, I have finally found my favorite pizza shop in this area code! In a mere 9 month quest embarking on the best pie, it is with pleasure I grant Franks with the highest honors. Thin crust, great sauce, and a quality cheese sum up this positive epicurean treasure. Alas, the 5th star could not be awarded, due to a driver mix up the first time I ordered from here. Yes. it took over 75 minutes for a single plain pie, but I must admit, it was worth the wait(and I have not had an issue since).
