We were only going to stay here one night but it was so relaxing, we stayed an extra night. We were in cabin 13 which was right next to the water. It was perfect for me to capture a sunset on the front deck. Everything you need is included in the bath and kitchen. We loved the jacuzzi tub. You can relax in it and see the lake through the windows. The beds were very comfortable. The tv didn’t get very good reception, so we rented movies from Redbox. The internet was strong enough that the kids could play games on their laptops. We were there through the week so we were the only people there until check out time the last day and others started checking in. It was quiet and peaceful. I plan on visiting again soon.

Flowing wells was great. We had a girls weekend. We relax in hot tub, enjoyed the fire. Sat out on the deck to watch the stars. Had great walk. Right on the water. Wonderful quiet place.

Nice cabins on the water… However, the MICE INSiDE the cabin were seriously off putting! We enjoyed the lovely sunset from the deck every evening, and the pleasant morning breeze made coffee that much more enjoyable. But, the lurking presence of vermin INSIDE the house, added a significant ick factor that can only come with mice scurrying through the house. One doesn’t expect mice INSIDE the house when paying $ 1,200 for 3 nights. We alerted the office to the presence of mice(with photo proof) INSIDE the house, and their response was that it was to be expected that mice would get Inside the house when staying near a lake… However, this is the first time I have ever experienced mice in the house at any lake… I hardly imagine that people generally expect mice as part of their check in package merely because of proximity to water.

Nice digs! Clean, efficient cabin living. Great sunset views. Cabins are close together, but privacy was reasonable. Good deck space. Easy walk down to a sandy beach. Plenty of wild life(deer, geese and bugs) for the secluded location. There are no rental facilities or restaurants on property so be prepared to drive a bit. The cabin is full of quality stuff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Thick towels. Pots, pans and such. I’d stay here again anytime.

Great place to take your family just 40 minutes from Allen. Cottages are the perfect size, clean and beds are comfortable. Views are gorgeous– all of the cabins are right on the water and face west so sunsets are gorgeous over the water. You don’t have to have a boat to enjoy– there is a gentle slope down to the water and it has a perfect sandy bottom so no worries about where you step. It’s VERY quiet here at night and if you are adventurous take a walk at night with a bright flashlight– bats and spiders and even saw a giant scorpion crossing the road! Lots of wildlife and minimal distractions. Would also be great off season for a romantic getaway. So glad my 5 year old has not picked up an IPad or turned on the tv in 3 days. She has even started to notice how beautiful the spider webs are instead of screaming her head off and running back inside to watch Spongebob. No pets allowed which is a little disappointing for us but I understand the reasoning. Highly recommend this place for a quick getaway from… well… everything!

Flowing Wells is a marina that wishes to be a resort. It’s owner will nickel and dime you until you have no choice but to find another home for your boat, buy gas or lodge overnight. The maintenance crew is helpful, knowledgeable and available while on call at all times. However there seems to be a disconnect between the owner and his team. He is never available by phone and instead filters calls through his innocent, often unknowing office staff, requiring them to do his dirty work. If you decide to dock with Flowing Wells, be advised that you will be met with tedious, pricey rules while watching your money float away. Although boating itself can be pricey, Flowing Wells takes this to the extreme while not even providing a public restroom, nor allowing even their paying patrons to use the office restroom as well. They dream to be a big resort but do not offer the basic essentials it takes to become a full-service marina. Be warned if you decide to dock or visit this so-called resort, there is No food, No service, and NO restroom!
