Goldbergs New York Bagels

Potomac’s best breakfast deal. The Black Russian with Babaganoush sent me into orbit a-​ok. Ben, the manager, helped me navigate the dizzing array of great choices. As someone who escaped the Island of Manhattan (not once, but twice), the New York moniker is so true. In fact, so much so, I used my Hebrew name. I would recommend this to my mom, who undoubtedly would say it is not as good as the ones in Dix Hiss, NY. I would agree. It’s better!

I gave this place a 4 star because of their consistency in the bagel, though this location cashier is incapable of his job

Goldbergs has excellent bagels, though poppy seed bagels could do with an extra
helping of the seeds. Been there numerous
occasions, very clean and Dan the manager
runs a good ship, always friendly and likes
to schmooze with the customers. My favorite item is the kippered salmon spread,
fresh and very tasty on a bagel. I also like their oat bran bagels with an egg. A very
nice local bagel shop with a good NY
atmosphere.
Noticed a previous review from nine months
back knocking the food and assume Daniel,
the manager for not being more courteous.
He said nothing negative to the customer and you know everyone has a bad day. Their
short order cook is generally spot on and
Daniel makes a real attempt to know the
customer on a personal level. Not an easy job from 6:30 am to closing. Too bad that
customer wrote a negative review without
giving them a second chance.

Great place! Nice, attentive staff, clean place and an awesome egg and cheese! Large portions, too! Don’t know what those other two reviewers experienced, but my visits are always great!

Poor manners from young man who took my order. No «thank you» or «have a nice day» or when my order was ready, he just yelled my name and left the bag in the counter. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Received a barely toasted bagel. It wasn’t even warm. Cream cheese didn’t even melt a little, which one would expect with a toasted bagel… Will not be returning.

Skimpy portions, management is rude, and to top it off unsanitary conditions; boxes of bagels on the floor! Beware!
