I discovered this boutique as I was walking in Portsmouth today. They have a fun and varied selection of clothing, swimwear and lingerie. Some of the brands I recognized they carry are Kensie and Roxy. They had a great selection of sale items, some 50% off, so I was pleased with the prices. The full-​priced items tend to be more expensive, especially the swimwear.

I bought a really cute dress here, to wear to a wedding. Serendipity is a clothing store that I never shop in, mainly because the prices are a little steep. But the clothes really cute, yet classy. They have a lotof nice dresses as well as casual clothes and jewelry. This is probably the surest bet when looking for women’s clothing in Portsmouth.

cute store. good sale section. non-​sale stuff is kind of expensive. normally a 4-​store kind of store (the kind i’ll always stop by once when i’m in town) but the girl who was working when i was here brought it down a notch for me. i had a handful of dresses in my arms and she kind of glared at me like «are you really gonna buy anything?»… she caught me looking back at her, put on a fake smile, and asked if she could start me a fitting room
whatever. i tried on a bunch of stuff… picked up two of the dresses that were worth the money. actually, they were really cute. but the girl was snooty to me again when i was checking out, even when i tried to make conversation.
maybe it was just an off day. i’ll definitely stop back in, but if service is like that again i might reconsider.

One of the few stores in existence where both my mom and I can find something we like. It is also one of the few remaining boutiques in Portsmouth that is reasonably priced. They carry some Free People and Kensie clothing, and have a small selection of jewelry, picture frames, and purses as well. Definitely a good stop when browsing around in Portsmouth.

Biddeford, ME
A store full of women’s clothing, jewelry, and various little things that scream «impulse buy». There’s a similar Serendipity in Exeter and (assuming they’re related) they naturally have a lot on common. If you’ve come to Portsmouth for a day of wandering from store to store looking for something different, be sure to include Serendipity in the lengthy list of stores that are here to satisfy your every need. Hmmm, I think I have an idea for a new list.
