This newer shop in downtown Newburyport is quite nice and also quite expensive. As the name implies, you’ll find whatever it is you need for that red headed person in your life. A large assortment of gifts include clothes, music, indoor and outdoor decorations. dishware and jewelry. It’s a solid store in the great location of Market Square.

No food or drink allowed, but dog friendly? So dogs can be trusted, but if you go in there with a covered ice coffee they’ll tell you to leave. They must have made so much money already that they can turn away customers. Went to The Celtic store down the street and got what I needed and didn’t have to throw out my coffee to do so.

I make a pit stop here nearly every time I’m exploring downtown Portsmouth for the sole purpose of stocking up on their amazing imported Cadbury candy. Chocolate in the US simply cannot compare. It is pricey, but since everything is imported, I’m willing to spend the money on something I really can’t get at many other places in the area. The rest of the items are fun to browse as well.

Clean store in a great location with quality products from Ireland. Many stores will«supposedly» sell products from Ireland Having been to Ireland and, specifically, to locations where their products came from, I know this is a legitimate store selling quality goods from Ireland. They may be pricey, but you get what you pay for. Well worth the money!

This is a great Irish store. they have everything you could be looking for, from food to clothes to Belleek and other fine china. I like coming in here for unique Christmas presents. I got my mom a gorgeous ornament last year that had a little scene inside. I also love checking out all the yummy snacks, tea, and the jewelry! The staff members are helpful but they’re not all over you when you’re in there and I like that. The atmosphere of the store is cute and beautiful, and it is well organized. Must see in Portsmouth!

This place is great for a few irish hats and wooly jumpers; crosses and badhran’s but I usually get my irish tea and chocolates here. Staff and great and Paul the owner is funny; bet he could chat the knickers off a donkey!

This place is great! They have a great selection and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I popped in on Sunday and Ursula helped me find everything I needed. I’ll go back next time I need Irish imports.

Incredible assortment of goodies from Ireland! I was tempted by many items: the beautiful silver jewelry, the Irish dishes, the interesting selection of food… but, the prices were out of this world high. $ 8.85 for a tiny box of Irish Muesli. Over $ 60 for a simple silver pendant. I wish I could afford to splurge like that! I know it’s imported from Ireland and I know that’s not cheap, but the mark-up seemed a little more than what’s necessary to me. If I absolutely had to have an Irish gift then maybe this would be a great place, and I’d probably find it. Just browsing though it’s fun but the prices kept me from buying anything.

Bad return policy, make sure you really want what you buy or that whoever you buy it for will like shopping there. We spent $ 150 on items for Christmas and the owner refused to give us our money back. His only response was«how do you expect us to stay in business» in a gruff and confrontational tone. Other then trying to recoup my loss at some occasion I will never shop there again. They evidently don’t see the long term customer relation picture. And as the other poster noted, they are not cheap.

The Northern-Irish people I was with were enamored with the shop. They were less enamored with the prices(importing stuff is a bitch). As an American, there was some charm with the shop but nothing special.

Cute store. You always find these types of stores along the coast of New England. This was a real cute/small shop. It had the usual selection of European chocolates, some frozen food in a fridge in the back, ties, shirts, hats. They were having a huge sale on sweaters(end of the season, folks!). The hats were really cool and a little expensive($ 40 or so) but that’s what you get for these types of imported goods!

A new Irish-themed gift shop has opened in Portsmouth, right in Market Square. Now there’s a new place to pick up your gifts, jewelry, music, and other Irish goodies. It’s very close to RiRa’s Irish Pub, so you can really get into it. Interestingly, this new store is just a few blocks from Celtic Crossing, a store that’s had this niche covered for the last 10 years. Can Portsmouth support both stores? We’ll see. Ireland on the Square is a bit more focused on Ireland, and Celtic Crossing covers all of the Celtic areas including Ireland. I don’t have a preference. There’s plenty of overlap and you should check them both out.
