In Sept my adult son found a pair of Gucci eyeglass frames there. Great style. He left for college before they were in, so I picked them up and brought them to him. Fast forward to Christmas vacation. He went into the store to have the glasses fitted to him. They did a great job. They noticed that there were a couple scratches on the lenses and said there’s a «lifetime guarantee» on them, so sent them back for new lenses. Fantastic. Couldn’t be happier. Expensive glasses with a great guarantee.

I went there yesterday in search of frames and lenses and had such an odd and frustrating experience. There were ample staff behind the counter to help, but for some reason no one could be bothered to take the time to explain the differences between their frames and lenses, which are all very expensive. When I asked questions, their answers were curt and full of their own internal jargon/​coding, and one person actually stopped in mid-​sentence to help someone else. They were not attentive or helpful at all and they are overpriced. Eyeglasses are an important and costly investment and I need more than what this store can offer.
It is true, you will find few bargains here. But I have found the customer service and wide selection overwhelming reasons to buy my Rx glasses and sunglasses from Eye Look. Plus, I’d much rather buy from a local shop versus a chain or online retailer. After grabbing coffee downtown, I can walk in any time to have my glasses adjusted and polished.
And, whenever I’ve stopped in with my young son, they have had FREE kids sunglasses for him.
