This is one of those amazing places I’d prefer not to write a review for because I want to keep it to myself, but this place is already way off the beaten path from what I can gather. El Paisano is probably within the top 3 places in Portland to get street tacos with flavor similar to those you’d find in Mexico or California. Disregard that 1 star review. It drives me crazy that people would write such negative review because they can’t figure out when the hours are. That has nothing to do with the food. Paisano does have some wonky hours but when you make amazing food, you can do whatever you want to do. This is a late night place with no hours posted on the door so swing by after you are done going out and maybe you can enjoy some awesome tacos.

I. would love to go here since I live a block away but this place is never open. I looked at their window today and no hours were posted or anything. I love Mexican food and I’d go here pretty often but the place is always closed. Ki d of horrible service if you ask me.

OK, OK I have not eaten everything on the menu. All I know is I stumbled in with my friends all drunk one night and ordered 4 – 5 tacos. Then I got to the carnitas. «Carnitas mas buena que la chi*****…ay carnitas!» Their Al Pastor is killer too. Eat them there if you can, steamed in a to go isn’t the best way to handle… straight to the belly. Taste the condiments, put the ones you like on.

I used to live in Los Angeles and when I moved home to Portland is really missed the Mexican street food. Well folks, I found it and am so in love. If you need a late night fix, this is well worth a trip for their $ 1.50 tacos. Everything is cooked just for you and so delicious. Enough said.
