Candice did a great job in our 30 minute family photo shoot. Packages are very reasonably priced and you can trust that you will have great photos to last a lifetime.

We recently had family pictures taken here and felt compelled to write a review, unfortunately it seemed that the photographer was having a bad day and delivered below expectations. We are a family of four with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I understand that kids can be difficult to work with some times but when a 2 year old starts crying I believe it is important to take a short break and at least wipe the tears away before continuing the shoot. We had to actually instruct the photographer to pause for a moment to address this. Could the tears be photoshopped out? Maybe but that’s not the point. When you are spending hundreds of dollars in a professional studio it should be an experience, and time should be taken to do it right.
In addition one comment made was actually offensive. When we were changing poses one of our children wanted to sit instead of stand and was making life difficult for all of us (the photographer included). Unfortunately she let this less than perfect behavior by our 3 year old get the best of her and she threw her hands up, began walking away and said «well, you deal with it».
Lastly we felt rushed and did not have enough pictures to choose from when all was done. If more time was taken and the photographer had more patience and took the appropriate number of shots perhaps we would have had enough pictures to at least complete the package we wanted.
I hesitate to name names here because we have used this studio for our yearly family photos and have never had a problem; in fact we have had great experiences in the past. However in this case I feel compelled to suggest that if you use this studio and you have kids, make sure that Candace Chandler is not the one taking the pictures.
We will continue to use Yuen Lui Studios and simply make sure she is not our photographer in the future. If anyone at Yuen Lui wants to contact me to make this right I would be happy to amend this review.
